Take it one area at a time. If you decide on a theme, stay consistent with that. Terraforming has to be first and it's always going to look a little weird before you start filling the area with plants and items.

It’ll tell you if there’s max visitors. (It’s 8.) It just means someone’s talking to an NPC, or shopping, or on their phone. Or, someone is already on their way.

Here's the Full Island Star Requirements:
1 Star - none
2 Stars - at least 7 residents (without player)
3 Stars - at least 7 residents (without player)
50+ different furniture pieces set up outside
100+ flowers planted and most of the weeds removed.
4 Stars - at least 9 residents (not counting the player)
150+ furniture pieces and over 200+ flowers.
It also requires additional stairs or bridges & a lot of fence pieces.
5 Stars - everything mentioned above, but every flower, furniture piece or fence has to be evenly distributed throughout the island.

It's a LOT of work!

How To See Shooting Stars In ACNH?

1. Wait until it is night and the sky is clear.
2. Using the left joystick up, your camera will allow you to fully observe the starry sky
3. You can then either wait until you see a shooting star in the sky, or use this technique:
   Stroll on your island as usual and put the sound at the bottom of your game. Shooting stars are rather easy to spot because they produce a very special tinkling. Once the "tliiiing" heard, you will not have time to raise your eyes to the sky to observe the star. Do not panic, shooting stars always arrive in bursts of 3 to 5 stars.

It's not Nintendo's servers, it is indeed the connection. The one that is prioritized most would be the host, since they're the "server". It's a peer2peer game, so it doesn't really need to rely on Nintendo's online services all that much. If I recall correctly, it really only needs it to handle friend-related things.

When the hosts connection slows down, everyone suffers. If a client slows down, you are usually able to do things still until it kicks them from the session. I believe the game limits it to less than like 10 seconds before it aborts all connection requests to that user.
