Hi. I am thinking about starting a town in Doubutsu no Mori+ as I have heard of the unique Japanese events/items that are in this version of the game. For example, the wishing well is a shrine in the plus version, Japanese holidays, and so on.
If any one is familiar with these two games, has some of the Japanese content been removed from Doubutsu no Mori e+? I have heard that the shrine is gone, and is now a wishing well, but after reading a lot on Nookpedia, I am still a little confused.
I was hoping to begin with plus, then move my save data to e+ to get the best of both worlds, so to speak.
Any information you can provide would be great!

yes because animal forest e+ (doubutsu no mori e+) is basically the international version (animal crossing population growing) retranslated into japanese with extra (by extension "japanese" since afe+ was never rereleased outside of japan) content. therefore, any changes made by the international version (switch from shrine to wishing well, adding franklin and farley, more western holidays) are mostly kept in afe+

i feel like especially in new horizons, the personality types have been reduced to one or two main interests (e.g. jocks = intense workout, lazies = bugs and sleep, snooties = cosmetics, peppies = fashion, crankies = being nostalgic, etc) which, sure, were definitly interests of theirs in previous games, but i feel like they weren't so honed in (like i don't think jock villagers talked as much about exercise in gamecube than in new horizons)
in a way i feel like the villagers in recent games have been more so "flanderised" to use the term in order (?) to make them less ruder i suppose

In that game, and other games moving forward, Lily and Ribbot's catchphrases swapped for whatever reason.

I wonder, since in Wild World if two villagers interact without you listening in, there is a chance that sometimes that any catchphrase you set will be reverted back to the default.

What is the case for them? Does Lily go back to 'toady', for example?

he's not really angry much anymore

like you can just bypass a stern talking to by just picking "i don't remember"

and saying "my batteries died" he just tells you to make sure you keep your 3ds charged

i havent checked what he says for choosing "i wanted to reset" because there was never a point in which i didnt want to reset, i needed to reset

the most i ever see him mad now is if you end up going inside the reset center

I can't wait to see what the next Animal Crossing game will be on the new Switch. Although a new game is awsome I would also be happy if they just started updating New Horizons again. and when the servers are going to shut down nintendo released a paid version so ppl can continue playing it

if you deleted the game before you transferred your save data, i'm sorry.

One of the best things about wild world is the social dynamics between villagers. Eggbert and Apollo have disliked each other for years, initially that seemed one sided on Apollo’s end because Eggberts so happy-go-lucky but occasionally things slipped out.

The funny thing is, the first time I realised that they disliked each other was after peanut moved out, who they were both good friends with. Apollo and Peanut were in the town when I moved in and were always friendly about each other, and Eggbert moved in not too long after. And there were even rumours from the other villagers that Peanut and Eggbert were a couple, which was supported by comments that the two would make. For example, a couple times I would find Peanut outside on the evening and she would comment on the time and say she should get to Eggberts house.

As good as new horizons is with all its new mechanics, I can get sucked into wild world for hours because it really feels alive even if all I do is water flowers and talk to everyone

(Sorry for the long message I could literally yap about this game for hours, ask anyone with the misfortune of knowing me irl)

I’ve been enjoying it a lot! The villagers are fun to talk to. I already have 2 pictures! House upgrades are a lot more expensive since the player characters all share the house and mortgage. Money is also a lot harder to come by. My goal is to make 20k/day to pay off my loan. I’m on my 2nd upgrade which is the 8x8 room. I finally have a small foreign fruit orchard and coconut farm that will get me a lot of money and I’ve found most fossils now

Remember feng shui and the money rock, the more yellow items you have on the left of your house the longer the timer lasts, helping you reach 8 bags. And red turnips help if you don't want to gamble with normal turnips!

Money rock happens everyday but red turnips apparently aren't available every Sunday. I haven't had the chance to take advantage of it yet but I've heard it's fruitful

I like fishing and getting the shells for the quick buck too

Some fish sell for WAYY more

Olive flounder isn't a ton, but it sells decently! That's the experience I've had so far

Yes look into feng shui!! It helps with a lot of things in the old games, new horizons doesn't have it. Your luck points can also be affected by Katrina visits in some games as well

I shake all my trees everyday to find all the money, bees for catching and selling, and the everyday two items. It's a tedious task but I personally find it relaxing, until the bees 😨. And the lost and found and recycling bin can host some good selling items as well! I found a concert piano in the recycle box one time, I could've sold it but I kept it lolols

I love using fruit to help gain bells, but I also love me a good, yet wacky, everyday option

I'm not certain on this, but a city folk save editor might allow you to get "region locked" items. I have never tried myself, but if your Wii is modded it's worth a shot.

Other than using a save editor, I'm not personally sure. Someone else may have a better answer than this though!

if there is no friendship they are less likely to leave

it says that i need to talk blathers for 2 consecutive weeks, while also having 1 item from every donation category. but does the counter also start when i donate the last piece later?

like if i'm on day 10 of talking to blathers and only then i donate my first painting, does it still count as 10 days or does the counter only start then?

I believe that there isn't any time limit on how long the items will stay inside the basket. It can only hold 40 items tho, if you go over that amount then it'll start replacing old items with the new ones

I'm playing Animal Crossing for Gamecube and I've got other fruits that aren't my town's fruit, but when I get to plant them no matter what the saplings die the next day but when I plant apple tree sapling (apples are my town's fruit) they grow normally. Am I doing something wrong? I still haven't finished paying all the home loans. Am I supposed to get the statue outside the train station first, or you can just not plant other fruits? Please I need an answer

you cant plant trees too close to other things (buildings, other trees, flowers, etc) and the game is very picky about this . additionally, after some searching online, it seems like some people have had trouble placing their non-native fruits anywhere besides the dirt near their beach (not sand, make sure its dirt)
