I used to play acnl years ago and haven’t touched it since 2017

However, my own personal character was never the mayor, since I got it pre owned, the mayor was the other persons character (when my villagers would talk abt the mayor I thought it was a random npc it took so long to connect)

Should I restart it with my character as the mayor? Or just continue on. I have a lot of time into it, but I just don’t connect with it anymore and who I was at that time I played it

There isn’t really any “bad” animal crossing game. wild world has some criticism because there’s only 8 villagers in a town, all the human characters share a house, and there aren’t many holidays. Wild world is on the DS. It’s still a fun game. The villager dialogue is really good

as stated before, there's no notable "bad" mainline ac game. aside from spinoff games (of which there is the indisputably disliked game "amiibo festival"), they're all good to very good (although personally i think city folk is the worst one due to the controls, the city just being an excuse to get less visitors in your town, and overall just being wild world hd)

Hi everyone! So this might be random, but I’ve been a long time Animal Crossing fan and I’ve played most of the Animal Crossing games thus far. However, I never had the opportunity to play New Leaf due to just well not having a 3DS at the time. I keep seeing many New Leaf video essays on YouTube and players of New Leaf revisit their games. Is the game necessary to play or worth playing as a first timer? Would it add any value as someone who has already played pretty much all the other games in the series?

I also have never played new leaf for the same reason, but I think it would be fun to play and see how it differs from the rest. It would also be cool to have all the animal crossing games and add to the collection

I always had the same problem as you ^^ I never owned a 3DS, neither New Leaf. But in 2022 I saw New Leaf in a Gamestop and then bought it. At the beginning of 2023 a friend of mine gave me their 3DS to finally play it.
I immediately started playing and I loved it. I then took a break but recently started playing regularly again. I think it's great and it was definitly worth it to get it and play it. :3 Yes the gameplay is still "the same", but it has a special charme, like every Animal Crossing Game has.

Can someone please help me, i'm trying to invite special characters like Reese and Gulliver to the campground in their RV's using my amiibo cards with Wisp but it doesn't give me the option to do this, I only seem to get the options of "Get Furniture" which is usually their photos or quit.

I think that you can only get them in their RVs when scanning their amiibo figures, but not the cards

I'm having a bit of an issue on ACNL. Last week I picked back up my old save file but apparently on this town i never had Club LOL opened? I had T&T upgraded 2 times already and made several PWPs so I'm assuming i already delievered the signatures years ago.
It's been a week and it's still not opened, and I haven't really timetraveled at all. Is there any way I can fix this?

amiibo cards cannot summon special villagers' rv, only amiibo figurines can. also gulliver doesn't have a amiibo figurine but he comes randomly as a rv camper usually once per week

Hey idk if anyone here knows the answer, but when I try to play ACPG on the GameCube, the tools in Nook’s shop never change. I changed the date until a week went by but it was still the same

you have to have a sales sum that's high enough to be able to have nook sell you other tools

for example you need to have a sales sum of at least 12k bells to be able to have nook sell you an axe

sales sum is the amount you spend in the shop (and the amount you sell, though it only counts half as much)

Thank you!! Honestly I've play acnl for so long the villagers practically feel like family to me. I've got molly, bubbles, hans, prince, stinky, axel, bangle, bruce, and elise! I remember all little details about them, even tho some of them are the same personality type they still feel different? Like Stinky always tells me he likes my calves and gives me presents, whenever I agree to hang out with Axel he always mumbles that he's so glad he finally has friends, Hans collects bottle caps, muffy and bruce fight a lot, muffy loves turf wars, bruce has a niece who loves butterflies, elise will insult me to my face if she doesn't like the clothes I'm wearing, molly always asks me personality quiz questions. they're just. They mean the world to me

I feel like the entire course of my life changed because my grandparents bought me acnl on black friday in 2018

For example, i had a large spike pattern for the Jan28-Feb3 week, ive time traveled twice to that week and got the large spike patten both times

I actually prefer new horizons, ive just played new leaf recently for the first time and ive had many moans about it compared to new horizons

but this is coming from soneone who only got into animal crossing from new horizons

i've been replaying acnl and i really enjoy its less island design oriented gameplay - there's so much more to do than just design the island (which is all I feel happens in acnh but i didn't play it that much)

theres just a few things i didnt like from what ive played, tortimer islands okay but some of the ideas in it needs some improving, i was trying to get all the special items from club tortimer that are exclusive to that club and would be impossible to get when the internet shuts down in april, but i expected to go online with it to get alot of those items. I found out soon after getting membership that not every room online has those items and instead just has the normal items. Thats Stupid!, whenever you go online and enter a room, at least ONE of the items for sale by default should be an exclusive club item, but it not
