Has anyone played the Japanese versions of AC games? I'm wondering how saucy the villager dialogue is compared to the localized English versions

People say NH is more in line with the Japanese translation, so I'm wondering if e.g., Dōbutso no Mori had cranky villagers

tbh I think NL’s the closest to the JP version, the dialogue seems very literally translated from Japanese compared to other games

how have i gotten a golden shovel AND finished 2 fossil museum collections before nook has sold a single fishing rod?

(for reference to get a golden shovel you need to have nook sell a shovel on 2 different occasions, one to dig a hole and the other to plant in a glowing spot, on top of waiting for the golden tree to grow which takes ages, AND in this game you need to mail your fossils to the museum and have the luck to get a buncha ones from the same dino)

and ive visited the shop every day i started last sunday or saturday for you american folks

also just a question: do flowers count towards having a "perfect town" (or being able to get the golden axe or whatever)

Like a flag is enabled in the code so that villager cannot move or ask to move
There are two villagers in my town (Lolly and Ozzie) who i noticed at some point simply stopped asking if they should move out
After that point I was very active in the game for a few years and they never once asked to move out
Then I didn’t play for 2 years and they were still there, and they are still there
I don’t want them to move out but I’m just curious is this is an intended feature

Everytime I want to play Animal Crossing GameCube I have to set the time on the system home screen because the internal battery inside the console died it kinda ruins the immersion of a little world that goes on when you're not around I'm going to take my GameCube to my local retro game store later this week and hopefully they can switch out the battery

my first game was city folk yet it's also my least favourite game from the main series

they ruined conversations for no reason, controling with the wii remote is hard and sucks, city doesn't do much except relocate shops and remove the amount of traveling merchants in your town to just them being in the city (redd, gracie, etc), and overall it doesn't innovate much from wild world (it's usually referred to as "wild world hd")
