I think I'm gonna let it live like this for a while and rework everybody else first

For context. The pineapple bed and watermelon 4x4 table are so much easier to use. Like I said earlier I think the pear bed is one of my infuriating pieces of furniture and to me it's because the design's just so awkward and uncomfortable.

oooh yeah the watermelon stuff is cute!! a 2x2 or 2x1 table in the fruit set would've been so helpful in decorating, anything i picked from other sets just didn't match well enough for me

I had the same issue! In older games apparently they used a couple of the cabana furniture (now named rattan) so I may opt to go that route when I eventually want to edit it again, if nothing for the reference

Note: this is not what you need to do. It's a visual to explain things better for me (i also just find it fun to do)

• I like the aesthetic of saturating with one color, but if you're keeping the monstera from her original home then I think adding more blacks and greens will make it stand out less and will let the eyes have more things to settle on an otherwise loud room. Same with the white from the bed and ironwood cart.
• rugs make little rooms in the room
• since her room has a music motif you could lean into it by having a little staging area for her guitar and amp, and using some other music items like a better stereo
• tucking the bed away with a little more privacy is just a little comfier

Made more updates to my villager's homes this past two weeks, currently 7 out of 10. Everyone except two villagers are redos from when HHP released, and I keep surprising myself with how much my sense of design has changed.

Mira. First clip is before, then after. I had to change it up a lot because I now have cephalobot whose house is like it so I wanted to differentiate. Mira is also the only home that references nothing of her default house because it's trash, but I do reference her starter home (and I recreated her default home outside anyways).

First clip is before, then after. One of the things I've done in most of these redos is that I've added back windows and I cannot emphasize the agonizing length of time I put into this house because of it.

Thanks! It's honestly a huge limit, but it peeves me more that whenever they craft the bench or stove they spawn lingers for the rest of the day.

Though ultimately I think being limited by my "must have" list is part of the fun. Altogether, I make sure I have:

1. Bench
2. Stove
3. Seat
4. Bed
5. Music player
6. Instrument
7. Wardrobe (to check their clothes)
8. Three unique gyroids
   I also attempt to keep their original house as much as possible. All this limits me but it makes it so much more satisfying when I make it work.
