Maybe like a survival season? For a week, everything goes back to the beginning, except there's no Nook Inc. or Dodo airlines. You're just dropped off with your villagers (you keep the villagers you had before the survival season) into a deserted island, kind of like a shipwreck or a plane crash. Most trees have wasp nests, tarantulas and scorpions spawn more frequently, Map, rescue service, terraforming, Nook Miles and Nook Shopping are disabled on your Nookphone, and everything is DYI crafted, including housing.
