I wouldn't use the term messy but 'busy'. If you look at the wallpaper the rope rings align with the height of the furniture. I would try putting in taller furniture to fill up that wall space or hang relevant wall decorations.
You could always hang the clothes on the wall if you feel like there's too much going on in the room.
