Hello I think this is a bug or a glitch or something but in the upper right half of the E6 and the lower right half of D6 on my map trees don’t grow properly/ don’t grow at all if I move them anywhere else or to the left side of that same block they start growing normally

I have however had weeks where she never showed up in the past. I use MeteoNook, so I always know when there are nights she can show. But her showing up has never seemed like a guaranteed thing to me, regardless of what other people claim.

Steps: Make sure you copy this exact setup, you can use any 1x1 chair. Then stand exactly in the center in front of the chair, turn until you're facing southeast and press A.
It'll take a bit of error and trial to get this done, it took me 30 mins until I got it the first time, but it'll get easier once you get it.

for clarification there's no such thing as a glitched table item, the combination of a table placed in a room with 5 or more items on that table creates glitchy table behavior. you can only ever make that situation yourself

Yes, it's making a set-up that causes, what I believe, is a memory glitch, that can then be abused to duplicate some types of items.
If you store any of the items that cause the glitched behavior, or the table itself, it breaks the glitch and in current versions of the game, those set-ups can not be made.

I've got a question about a 1.2.0 glitch.
In 1.2.0 is it actually impossible to get the golden sling shot diy? I know they made the b patch to fix the bug that no more balloons will spawn after popping 300, but I don't actually know if any of the letter patches where put into the cartridge version and just not showing.
I mean, I guess I'll find out either way eventually, but I wouldn't mind some thoughts.
If it does stop spawning balloons for my main I guess I could just use new characters to get diys, but is would suck never getting the gold sling...

Hello! Noticed a few bugs since the latest update: 1) super hard to get trees to drop anything. Doesnt matter if any items/flowers/structures/etc are near them or not. Some don't drop anything at all no matter how long I shake them. 2) hopping rivers is harder. Stranger is these two water holes I dug a long time ago as part of my entrance will now only let me hop over them one way. 3) villagers now act like whatever I give them came from them. Doesn't matter where I get the item, they almost always react with, "seems familiar"

@inner fulcrum On 1: We would need more specifics. What are you trying to get them to drop? How much harder is it than before? Tree drops are rng so it seeming harder on its own isn't noteworthy.
2: Nintendo has been changing how physics works. May or may not be a bug, hard to say.
3. Can you give examples of an entire interaction that results in "seems familiar"? I've been giving my villagers wrapped pumpkins for example and it seems to be normal.

@yamza 1) anything, limbs, wasps, an item, a coin. Everything they would normally drop. Its almost impossible now. I have to try all 4 sides of the trees, shake forever, move anything that's around them, and even sometimes after all that I still don't get anything.
2) the thing with the water hole happened immediate after the update. I'll try digging them again, but never had that issue prior
3) bought a shirt from Able Sisters, gave it to a villager, they said "seems like I've seen this before." Also got a basketball tank from one villager, gave it to another, and the reaction was the same. It happens all the time now, whether I wrap the gift or not

Just figured out the hopping thing, though. If I want to go back the other way, I have to remove the hedge bc now, even though i can initially jump straight over, the update will only let me jump back at a diagonal

My villagers' catchphrases seem to be acting up. It might just be between my Molly and the others on my island, but she never seems to learn the right catchphrases.
Just now, she was talking to Timbra. She wanted to learn Timbra's default "pine nut". She instead learned her own default "quackidee". This has happened when I caught her talking to Sherb and Antonio as well. She wants to learn their phrases, but instead "relearns" her own default.
(sorry for the long write-up. wasn't sure how to explain it)
actually, come to think of it, Sherb has done the same thing. Sherb will want to pickup a villager catchphrase, but instead goes back to "bawww." My villagers learn catchphrases when I'm not around, but not when eavesdropping on their conversations.

Also gifted my villager a wrapped stack of 3 pumpkins and got the usual pleased reply.

In early versions of the game, a newly-moved-in villager would be a shut-in and never leave the house, you'd only see them at ceremonies. Their house would say "I've moved out," and you couldn't interact with them or go in their house at all. But that's been patched, and if you see "I've moved out" that's intended because that's supposed to show up when a villager moves out.

Okay, I don't really know if this is a glitch, more like using game mechanics, but you can "dupe" spoiled turnips. When you buy them you separate them into stacks of ten, then when they spoil each stack no matter what will turn into one spoiled turnip. So if you had 1000 turnips in 10 stacks you could separate it into 100 stacks and get 100 spoiled turnips instead of 10.

more likely than not, there is something blocking/preventing rock spawn in your desired area than a glitch. have you checked for tall furniture/trees around it? maybe send a pic to #game-help-questions❓ ?

Yeah I already removed everything around my desired locations. The odd thing is, I'm sure that rocks can spawn to one of the locations since there was a rock in it. When hosting for dupes, does the host need to reset or anything between trips? I was being extra earlier and between each dupe I would close game, change date and open game again. Not sure if that’s all necessary or not 🤷♂️

I'm not 100 percent sure if this could help, but I've heard when people are having connection issues to have both people restart their Switches. It might at least help them be able to get an online connection.
Other then that, I wouldn't know what's causing the local adopting issue... I've never adopted a villager, let alone via local play.

Yea that’s what i told them to close the game and restart both switches. I always invite villagers through local play i transfer them back and forth my 2 islands. And i did not have any problem before.

It can be really hard with certain internet conditions. and tbh, i dont really think it harms your game, only if you hold down the power button instead of tapping it.

Lolly's crafting table is always on display, some houses are designed like that.
For the houses that aren't, it might mean you missed them earlier when they were crafting, since the DIY table remains displayed for the rest of the day.

Once i shake out the mac number they drop and pick those items up it wont drop anything else

@rotund garnet if you deleted their profile from the Switch itself, create a new profile, start the game with that profile, choose to take over the old character, and then press (-) on the title screen to access the options for deleting that character.
