camo items are the result of entering an invalid value on the "customisation" option of an item right? and the sumo ring just has the assets missing. so unless they add a check for invalid customisation value intentionally, as something unrelated to the sumo ring, I don't see why that would be the case @rugged island

well so far I haven't had one of them disappearing bell spots but then again it's possible the update messed up with them in a way I haven't seen
for example, I don't remember the two glowing spots being visible when playing at the same time as the other residents
I could be mistaken, but I think that before only one would be visible, and then reloading the map on the multiplayer session would spawn the other one, as opposed to how I see it work rn, where both are visible at the same time

When you press the power button the switch it doesn't turn it off or sleep it, because when i go back into the switch the game is still open

afaik, the glitch should be possible to perform no matter the switch model, and there are (I think?) different ways to interrupt the communication, like enabling airplane mode and such.
however, not many regulars here actually run "tests" on it due to the risks involved by performing it, since interrupting the save process is generally a bad idea, and we don't think it's worth it just for some in-game items

that happened on a previous game version when people skipped the day where the house would change. that would usually happen because people were too eager to go back to "real time" after time travelling to get an empty plot. it was fixed so it does not happen on the most recent update, but houses affected weren't "fixed" retroactively

I was talking about the "slight movement" because unless I'm constantly hallucinating, when you dig up manila clams in weird angles relative to the tile the hole is on, you move by a very very small amount, and it seems like if you don't touch anything on the controls, the character keeps doing it, only returning to the original position after the "favourite flavour" textbox goes away

But I've had times where I didn't get a letter or just didn't get any for days on end. So depending on what version you're running, if you time travel, and what time of day it is, if it's a response to a letter sent you to them, it could be normal, but I don't really know.

@inland inlet Honestly I don't keep track of how many villager letters I get. They are normally not important, and I delete them anytime I get them.
I think I might only get one a week, and looking back, it does seem to be getting more sparse as I raise my friendship levels... But again, I'm not actually paying that much attention to the letters or how often I get them.
I'll try and keep a log from now on, just to see if that is happening, but I don't know if it's a glitch or not...

Well, I think the setup only works if the tables are at the top of the room, then moved down, store the invisible crowns and move the tables back before leaving the room.
If you leave the room before you store them they will just be invisible and won't show until there is a table under them.
That or they are just gone.

the crowns aren't gone, they're floating, invisible, in layer 2 of the room. moving tables beneath them will make them re-appear and sink to the floor, allowing you to dupe again.
reloading the room without moving the tables back to their original position means you can't see or pick them up until you reset

@tired galleon Not one at all? Have you checked the entirety of the beaches? You could have just missed it, and if there are other accounts on the switch and you miss your bottle, they will pick yours up instead.
I have the issue where I only get 1 bottle a day, when I used to get 2... You are supposed to get two a day...
If someone else picked up your bottle in the morning, another should show up after noon. Or at least that's how it's always been for me.
But if it was already after noon, well, idk if a bottle will spawn. @tired galleon

I've not had that... I used to get a morning bottle and an afternoon bottle, and I would pick up and open both. Many videos show this 2 bottle a day thing as well.

I had this strange conversation with Katt where she was asking for my permission to use the new nickname other villagers called me by, but the conversation was worded wrongly. Basically she said "hey [old nickname], I heard other people call you [old nickname]. Can I call you that by that name too?" I told her yes and then she said, "cool, [new nickname] it is then!"
I've seen similar strange instances where two villagers think that their catchphrases are the same word even though they're not. I had Cherry talking to Marshal where Cherry said something like "I made a mix tape that I called 'what what.'" while Marshal responded with "you named it 'sulky?' Mind if I steal that name?"

Discovered this on accident (idk if anyone has discovered this yet): I had gulliver on a day, when I TT to 4 am on that exact day and left it overnight, the next day I get gulliver again! I tried this with Redd and it worked the same! Just I waited a few minutes instead of overnight.

It's because "days" in animal crossing are 5 am - 5 am, so you went backwards a day and then let your game roll into the day when gulliver is there. NPCs are locked to the day as long as you never exit the week you're currently in ^^

- TT forward a day to Tuesday, then go back to Monday (after 5am)

I FINALLY got around to making one of my villagers swap out for Sherb. I checked the sign outside the out-villager's house to make sure that it didn't say "Sherb" BEFORE he actually moves in. It was normal—no name bug for me
Also, in case anybody here is interested, I have Norma in boxes and only an hour and a half to give her away before the next day rolls over

@turbid sonnet well the OOB method to get into lakes and on buildings like the Bamboo method is patched. It only works if you have any remaining ones left over and you fix it around a little
