It's data that I researched and posted, but a month later I found datamined research that matched the findings that only blue balloons can drop materials and only yellow balloons can drop bells. Here's my data.

I stopped recording my personal balloons once I found out about the datamined data on balloons.

But of course when I posted this, people said "I've had a green balloon drop materials before, you just had bad luck," and also "maybe it's island dependent so the data is meaningless."

I understand why people were confused because it really does seem as if there's no theme for red and green balloons. The only true theme is that bells are only in yellow and materials are only in blue.

The reason why I started recording balloons in the first place was because of the claim that balloons dropped specific things based on color, and I wanted to prove this wrong with raw data. But then my raw data showed me there was clearly a theme.

But it's common in human nature to make assumptions based on personal experiences, even though memory can be unreliable and even without your own personal research it to back it up.

for regular Gulliver, my casual observation is that people want Pagodas and the Pyramids a lot

but statue duping can also be good - soooooo many people want multiple Valiants for their islands. i just duped the paintings that are never fake because then people wouldn’t have to worry i was trading a fake

i’m a nerd who had too much time on her hands and a turbo controller so i did a lot of duping - i also duped things that are annoying to make because of the rarity of the ingredients, but they may not necessarily be expensive in NMT. bookshelves is an example of this

Someone asked about this about a week ago and even contacted nintendo but they apparently couldnt help. Best way to avoid this is to close your game as soon as you open the present and see it's not a legit item.

If you remember who it was you should report them to the admins here or where ever you found that person so they can be blacklisted.

Sometimes they'll be sleeping/not sleeping in a random location outside even though they are actually supposed to be sleeping inside their house. It's normal.

If they are awake outside of normal hours, if you talk to them they'll mention that in their dialogue.

Hey so I think this is a glitch. My friend recently deleted her island and my game still thinks that island exists. I even got a villager from that deleted island to move in, now I can't remove her ghost account from the friendlist, does anyone know how to do this?

You can only totally remove them from the friends list by removing them as a Nintendo Switch friend. Also it's normal to get villagers from towns that you visited months ago, up to 4 villagers stay inside of a hidden move-in queue that every person has but can't see.

They don't leave the MIQ unless they move in.

But I remove them from the Nintendo switch friends list, add them back in, and the ghost account still comes back. Also, I'm aware of that but what's strange is that island was deleted so assumed those villagers get voided? XD

If anyone has a villager that doesn't get manually adopted, that villager goes into that player's move-out queue, anyone with free space in their move-in queue who visits that player will have a chance of picking up the hitchhiker. You can't actually see who is in your MIQ, you can only know once they move in when you have an empty plot.

I haven't seen anyone report on this, but is seems money spots have had spawning conditions removed. Meaning they can now spawn where they once couldn't.

Like beside\between trees and next to fences. I've also had them spawn right next to buildings and cliffs.

So my guess is in Nintendo's attempt to fix the bug that turned spots in to dig spots they removed the stop conditions.

Makes me wonder if rocks are like this now?

When I’m visiting an island what my character’s saying won’t show up (at least not on my screen) and I can’t see what kind of item an item is when standing next to it. And when people are visiting my island, it won’t show up on my screen/nookphone whenever they’re saying something in game. Does anyone know what may have caused this and how I can fix it?😊

@rugged island First, make sure to fully restart your system (turn it off via the power options menu, holding the button...leave it off for a few hours). Funky things usually happen when the system hasn’t been completely turned off in a while/or left in sleep mode for days while running a game. That should fix it.

First thing is is that I wouldn't recommend the current dup glitch as it has a chance to corrupt your save. It also is not guaranteed to work as it assumes lots about the game.

it basically causes people to lose out on campsite villagers, even if the situation is rare,, so i think it should
