hmm, this is probably as close as you can get? the rhythm doesn't translate without really slowing down the tune which makes it unrecognizable and the phrases are too long to fit into a single tune, so even simplifying the rhythm like this doesn't get you much

Hey there! I find it easiest to find sheet music of what I want as a town tune to get the rough idea of the notes and then go from there, otherwise I either play it by ear at a piano to work out the notes and do a similar thing (I hope this helps)

unfortunately that's just how the game renders the town tune! if it sounds right in the town tune screen then it is right, the game just puts filters over the tune when its used, think when you talk to a frog villager or when its played as the chime when you go in and out of doors. the base tune is correct but where it shows up in game is usually a little off cause it's altered to fit what the source of the tune is, so it'll sound a little off pitch and brassy when its played hourly since that matches the sound of a church bell. I don't think there's anything you can do to offset that?

If you wanna see a version that's more rhythmically accurate there's this as an option, but it cuts of at left so it doesn't fit the whole phrase you're looking for 😔

the first tune is the part that starts right at :49, it's actually sped up to fit in more of the notes, the original is so slow it doesn't translate over to a town tune very well given the limited notes. the second tune is the part around :55 in case you wanted that as well!

when making your own town tunes, here's a tip! you can "reset" for certain off-key notes, by dragging a note to the "?" note and if it isn't right, just dragging it away and back to the "?" over and over again until it does (i got the twinleaf town theme to sound right in just a few tries this way!) -- i wish i could explain it better, but it's honestly pretty up to chance as well
