Just an fyi. Once you finish you can make a DA and always visit even if you delete it and start a new island

Which is why I believe some content creators both enjoy and also find it easier to do natural themes. Less items they need to search for and design with. Easier to finish in full and delete for a new project.

My respect goes more so to people that do more than natural islands, and make their own custom designs on top of it

Take your time, there is no wrong way to decorate/theme, you can do multiple themes and if it gets overwhelming, do a section at a time.

plan first/look for inspo, also do color coordinated. you dont have to have a theme for ur whole island but, try to pick a certain look for the area (like foresty, or pink or, rustic ect.) also, take it slow and smooth out the cliffs and, do unique shapes

3 things that kinda matter altogether.

• Consider starting with a big project idea first
  -Don't be afraid to rework that project as you connect it to other places with pathing
  -Don't be afraid to move that project over a few blocks entirely as you continue to expand and figure out the sizing for other projects while building.

They reduced costs from 50k to 10k for moving so it's a lot more freeing. But even then i would use custom designs or in game pathing to block off the area for buildings before placing them

That's a choice you have to make. It really depends on what you're going for. Just look for insperation on pintrest, instagram, facebook, twitter. And save the designs you like and then sorta go from there with making a plan to see what you want to do.

Well most items I used are seasonal and diys. You could use simple diy candles and stuff. Its all abt the lightings and of course flowers. You can also use boardwalk paths to accentuate.

as far as i know only full grown trees count. instead of all of your forests being full grown, you could have a play around with stunting. that way you dont have to get rid if any of your trees or forests, but it should fix the overabundance problem

also, you could chop a few down and leave the stump to make cute little places to sit in the forest

so, i wanna re-start my island theme kinda based on my villagers but i don’t know, i was planing on pink cute, pink fairycore (or only fairycore) or japanese themed, but for this last one i don’t have the right villagers to do it…

Consider their hobbies (my island is based on careers and education. 8 villagers have nature/education hobby and will often pull out a book. With my library it works well)

To me your villagers seem like a split island of exquistie/high end/fashion island + kidcore/lazy

Switching Dom and Reneigh visually would make left side kidcore/lazy and right side elegant/fashion

Like they are at odds trying to take over the island with each half's ideal lifestyle

you're welcome. i find it a lot easier helping people who already have some stuff on their island. and do actively recommend remodeling the nearby builds when doing a new build.

but my track record with players who have empty islands is kinda meh. bc what else can I say except build something they like/want, or from their past/future dreams and then they just follow it with "but where do i start"

would you consider adding another profile for an indoor cemetery? my island has a mausoleum complete with a top floor healthcare level, middle floors have butterfly rooms with urns and pots and flowers.

the back room is a current funeral for whatever animal crossing photo i want to use there

i have 6 profiles on my own single main island. you dont understand the struggles there.

if you intend to add more profiles than that. i recommend using the Coveted "Call Resident" feature and play with multiple Joycons. I was able to upgrade 3 houses at a time to (almost, not the last one since thats a waste) paid off without saving and exiting for each one

of course, playing hhp on 6 profiles just for partitions. i really dont recommend. it's very exhausting even tho im just opening the boxes and exiting

well I don't have a way to get more profiles on my island since I only own a single switch BUT I can try and make a fake mausoleum building there but if it's not gonna work out then I can always just simply move my house there and turn it into a one (currently using my house as a train station waiting area and a ticket selling)

you just add another user to your switch. doesnt need Nintendo Switch online since it's just for your own island

only the main user needs NSO. and since it's just you there, all good. just switch accounts back when you need to trade/go online

I really like your train station design as is, but I think it would look a lot better if you added some depth. Right now the path you used for the station looks flat and I think that's what's throwing you off. If you added some steps or some shadows to make it look elevated, I think it would go a long way! Nice design though!

that is personal discretion. it really doesnt matter whether you beach them or not. they could all be on land where they currently are. and you only beach the ones near the entrance/front

it certainly is easier for some to beach everything. for others it becomes choice overlord/fatigue bc the canvas is too blank/empty to picture any ideas

I personally didnt touch anything in the front when i came back to the game after a 19 month hiatus. i started from the back with a giant library (it was not in the middle or the sides of my island. more like quadrant A2)
