I dont have images but it depends on what you use to make it look good during other seasons, I reccomend a non seasonal path or a path that has all seasons variations! And try to not use seasonal furniture unless you are willing to change it for different seasons!

Lol, well unless you do have alternative paths you can use for different seasons and different furniture for different seasons, it can still look good but off place, mostly off place in winter.

I'll actually reccomend what stqrry said, those really help try to get the essence of fall while not looking off during different seasons

That isnt bad! Pumpkins do look good all year round, a bit off putting in winter though, and if you are using colin path, he does have a non seasonal and working on different seasons versions of the path!

@fickle surge You might consider placing a customized manhole cover in the middle; it should be a good stopgap item, if nothing else!

However, I'd say your more pressing concern is the back of the area. Maybe it's just my tastes, but the solid line of fencing and the brickwork behind it feels monotonous. You might try breaking up the fencing with various items, like Cypress plants or Screens (if you can stomach the price tags).

Aesthetically I'd say add a few tools (bucket, watering can, shovel, wheelbarrow, flower wagon), some weeds, and maybe a scarecrow and some pumpkin items turned around. A customized wooden shop sign out in front of the farm would also look nice.

If you don't want to lose any planting space within the farm you could always use the surrounding area.

Having some of your version of "the path" underneath the silo would also frame it nicely.

Looks great! A few random ideas I'll throw out, can take what's useful:

• Might have more different variations of the rocks lining your path to make it look more organic.
• Perhaps place an item on the stool on your left cliff. Maybe customize the stool to dark brown to match the logs.
• Love the pumpkin and flower coordination too, could mix the plants with either dropped pumpkins or spooky lanterns turned backwards in other parts of your island.
• Maybe a diagonal wooden sign on one of the left cliffs to point guests towards your RS?
• Maybe some more weeds? Could also break up the ground texture with mushrooms as well as the acorns and pine cones.

You could also make a squared grid with the bottom right being the airport and the bottom left being RS. So you walk in and north or west to walk around a little city center square

I'd recommend taking a look at how i designed my RS building, and simply closing the southern entrance, leaving only an entrance to the left and right. Might be a good idea for your situation.

This is my old island where Resident Services was pretty close to the beach and was off to one side of the airport. My entrance involved multiple inclines, but it had a path up the hill and through the trees that led down to Nook’s Cranny and then RS to the left of it. If you want to take a look at the dream address to see how it flows feel free! It’s a year old at this point haha

An incline is a staircase easy for getting up to the next level of your island rather than waisting a few minutes using the ladder and it helps villagers see new heights, possibly for homes too

Tbh its the kind of thing you develop as you go, I’ve definitely changed my mind on things that I thought were perfect when I started out so I would say just play around with different paths, cliffs and rivers and go from there. I know thats not the most helpful but it definitely helped me to just experiment

My main reason for being against time travel is mostly because it is definitely more advantageous to go a day at a time so you dont burn out trying to revamp ur entire island in one night

You just kinda gotta work with them a little. Make the rounged edges appropriately. Flowers or shrubs along the edges makes them look more natural IMO (don't make a trail right along the edge)

@junowaves#8339 don't worry, you can do one small area at a time. I restarted my island and wanted to have it mostly open space so I can chase bugs and balloons, but some seasonal decorations too. So I found plaza brick path and extended my plaza so I can put most seasonal stuff there, and connected it to my shops and museum. I will wait to do my villager houses till new DLC

@cunning briar okay so houses are 4x4, bridge is 2 wide so I would use that to help determine size. It looks like the houses next to each other are 4 spaces apart, and path is 2 wide in most places. Since the path that connects to the bridge is most like 2-4 wide based on the gaps in the path on the other side of the bridge

You could try placing a default one down first then covering it with the custom design path but it depends on what your custom design path is as it may not work as well for a more natural looking, winding custom design like the path or a variation of it.

Some things I did to fill them a bit:

1. Plant weeds on the beach! They look amazing and easily fill up space. I planted them on the "edges" of the beaches.
2. I placed all the big fossils on the beach. Obviously, this only works if you have enough fossils to spare, but I think that it looks nice.
   Here are some old pictures (I also placed some other random stuff, back then)

Currently, I used my beaches to set up little "shrines" for villagers I like. Basically, their photo surrounded by items that fit their theme. Might not work for everyone/every theme, but maybe it helps.

I think they look nice (like seaweeds!) and they have an additional advantage: Apparently, there can only spawn a certain number of weeds on your island. Once you reach the limit, no more will spawn (less work plucking them!)
Also, since the weeds are not on your main land, but on the beaches, they don't affect your island rating in the slightest! I just think its neat.

Yeah. They don't help with the rating, they make it alittle hard to get 5 star, but still do able. Just use them sparingly
