Here is my museum entrance 🙂 To the right is my orchard and to the left is my plaza/RS. I have most areas of my island connected up by paths and bridges. My island is technically divided into three section. The area where my museum, orchard, and shops (etc) are, my neighborhood which itself is in two seconds, and then the back of my island which is all cliffs/a nature trail. It just takes time ❤️

I can't decide. Either flatten your whole island again and redo all of it because you have been unhappy for months with your current island layout. Or reset for a better layout and do things a lot differently with a theme this time in my mind because you have a new layout and fresh ideas to work with knowing you can always get your villagers back anyway.

i think it looks good! though if that's supposed to be water, I'd recommend avoiding straight lines/symmetry to make it look more natural. so instead of laying down the custom paths so the water is going straight down, incorporate more curved lines into it ^^

I want to continue my island planning, but need to lay out my train tracks before I do anything else. My main problem is i don't know where the tracks and stations should go:/ Any ideas?

Try and find some custom pathing that you like as well. I would start collecting items, and also try and plan the herbal layout, do you want the houses close together in a residential area? Or farther apart, do you want them to have yards, or instead have parks?

Before, I had an extended campsite, but it began to look ugly. I decided to make the area a campsite with a playground area. I also made a bakery/cafe for Tia and Chai (even though she won’t be on my island). The last photo is of my forest. I didn’t want my rock garden to be really visible so yeah. I’m terrible with working with large areas so that’s what I came up with. My island is slowly becoming more kidcore than planned.

If you're going for fairytale theme, then I definitely recommend having your villager house spread out from one another. You could have a mushroom forest, a tree forest filled with hidden secrets (the bronze hha trophy can be used as a fairy house in the forest) in this area you should use a lot of unnatural flower colors.
