hmm, personally I would go with terraforming an entrance as most people would usually lead it into RS.
and then you can design RS based on the entrance, but I just think it's personal preference.
Making a city
Im looking to make an amusement park area on my island. Anyone have nice examples to go from or ideas?
I know I'm quite late but Tangy could have a cute fruit store or lounge. Maybe a bar for smoothies or something. I think it fits her fruit thing well like that
Anyone mind sharing an entrance just so I can get a bit of inspiration?
I'm remodelling my island and moving all the shops, homes and such. Where do people typically put them? In the bottom corners?
Oh my god that sounds so cute!!!! I love it ❤️ TY
No problem! ❤️
also if you google “acnh tangy yard guide” you’ll find it. i have her and the guide was super helpful
Oo
Oh neat! I didn;t know that was a thing!
should I move my villager houses onto the beach while I try and figure out what to do with them? So expensive.....but I am super not creative...
Just made this temple
It is expensive but it's easier to terraform and all without their houses in the way. It just makes life easier when you're trying to figure things out and you can just move the house to the spot you desire. It's especially helpful if you end up only moving it by a unit or two
not even 2 weeks after flattening lol 🥲
You're right. I just wish we could move more than one a day, it would take almost 2 weeks to get them out of the way before I can even start planning anything
Understandable. Especially if you're not time travelling. If you'd like, perhaps this could help you in the meantime. I use this before any terraforming or decorating on my island. So perhaps it could help you
https://eugeneration.github.io/HappyIslandDesigner/
can u please post ur path in #path-codes
Sure!
Its in there!
The trees are so nice
My plaza, house, entrance and a forest
what's a 1x1 item that would look good in front of the museum? I'm inspired by this picture but on the lower level, instead of flowers I want to extend the water a little bit and have it surround a small spot of land with a statue or something on it. I have the fake Valiant Statue on me which made me think of the idea but that's 2x2 so I can't use it.
I think a beautiful statue is 1x1
informative statue might look neat too
good ideas! I don't have a lot of the art stuff yet but maybe I'll put up a lion dog or stone tablet as a placeholder while I look for those.
Woah, that's good.
Thank you!
Looking for honest feedback on the imperial themed entrance to my island, any and all suggestions are appreciated 🙂
outdoor spa!
this area behind those trees in my entrance feels kinda empty, any suggestions as to what to put there? (ignore the overgrown flowers oop)
That looks amazing, I love it 😍 My only suggestion would be to round off the corners of the cliffs 🙂
Anyone got any ideas for Frita’s yard im doing a rustic island btw
It looks a bit empty
i was actually just going to show mine lol one second
Alright
Cool
sorry for the bad quality video lol. the museums going on the cliff and there’s gonna be a waterfall there. i’ll show you the reference pic
this was my inspo
it’s gonna look cooler when i’m done with it 😭
Yo that’s gonna be awesome
that’s really funny but it goes in #acnh-media
Ok
I’m so confused on what to do I have a giant spot on my island with nothing there and I’m trying to decide between putting all the villagers houses together and giving them yards or just putting my museum there and decorating it 😭
maybe try a fishing spot/orchard if you don’t have one! make sure to take your time with the area, I’d say get inspired from other builds n stuff to see what you might like for neighborhoods/the museum too :)
has anyone done any winnie the pooh themed island?
@hardy jay thanks for the advice
Anyone have any cute star gazing spots? I need some inspiration! 🌠
Festivale balloon lamp makes for good forced perspective
Ohhh yea! They could be used as a hot air balloon as well!
would anyone be able to help me get new good diy’s for my island?
Could any 1 be able to come visit my island or me visit your bc I got new internet and I wanna se If I can jump to someone's island
does anyone have a good kawaii idea/Inpso for the area right above the airport and right below the resident services building/area? I need help lol
hey guys! I'm new here, and I was wondering if anyone wanted to visit my island to give me tip on how to improve my island
Hey can I I'm needing to see if my new internet will work out if is doesn't I'm srry but can I try
you could make an island entrance, mine is really boring and i’m looking for a new one, but you could add like a waterfall and benches, or something like that
sure!
yeah but I’m unsure what to do for my entrance
me too lol
this is my wishing well area! i find it a tiny bit plain, should i add anything else?
I honestly love the more simple look! It’s such a sweet area. The flowers are perfect
I'd say add some trees to the background to fill it in a little, but other than that it looks great!
my RS center is off centered from my airport by one tile. Would a diagonal bridge entrance be a good counter to that?
Two trees behind, each touching the red and orange flowers would look really nice! It'd frame the waterfall nicely too, allowing you to see it peeking through the trees I think :) Also maybe a few bushes here and there?
It's such a cute idea though, I like the coins scattered around 💗
At my entrance, Im thinking of having an elevated area on both sides with some decorations. What are some things that could look nice there?
My entrance
Could I take some inspiration from that? It looks very nice and very similar to the style I planned to do
Oooooh, of course you can hehe, I don't mind at all
Ty!
I could send more detailed pictures of the sides if you'd like
Sure!
Ty!
Np! Good luck with your designing!
:D
People seem to like having a far town hall but it’s actually kinda hard thinking of ways to make a path linking that to ur entrance
nice
Does this bridge have a good placement? My RS center is off by one tile from my airport. Was trying to use a bridge to make it better
Finally figured out how to decorate my entrance after watching some Japanese Youtube creators 😄
Tags: windmill, trees, natural, nature, spring, forest, cottagecore
thank you 😄
Opinions? I just got my terraforming permits today so I'm pretty new to it. Any feedback would be much appreciated!
Looks cute
Tyy
I like it
One suggestion would be to round the corner on the upper cliff on the left
Oh yeah
Also here is my campsite
@lime vortex Rrrrrh, love this (ignore the rrr, only french understand, unless you are XD)
@sour kelp Yay ! Wasn't the grass and flower path you used made to fit with spring colors ?
Im currently tearing down my cottagecore island and switching to an urban style island. does anyone have any urban layouts?
Could anyone send inspo pics of neighborhoods? All my villagers are currently on the beach but I want to move them back onto the grass!
if ur going for functionality and convenience, then no. it's an awkward path
I think I was more or less trying make my entrance match my theme. I wasn’t really trying to make it super convenient. Sorry for the misunderstanding lol @icy star
Anyone have an enterance idea??
I agree. I love having my town hall near the front. It's like part of my entrance.
Hey I need some help filling gaps in my island I’ve ran out of ideas
Ooh dang it. I've been trying all day to do a mass overhaul of my Island cos I was bored with it. But my Resident services is in a really dumb spot in comparison to my airport...and I cannot work out a cool and pretty way to have a welcome area from the airport. Does this even make sense.
do you have a theme in your Island?
Modern and towny I have a bamboo garden and a campsite area with a pool I’ve made a nice museum area but Im stuck now
Imo for unfortunate situations i would rather design around it instead of forcing it to fit the theme. Sometimes I intentionally clutter places to cover up annoying stuff
Maybe a long Custom Path steet with Villager houses right next to the street to make it look modern
I need ideas for an entrance mostly urban themed
A steet that leads into someting like this maybe
Ooh that looks cool thanks
A fountan in the middle would work great
But the problem is that my town hall is like right in front of my airport
Then a street to right/left first, and then try to block of the view to the town hall.
So it looks like a longer entrance
Enterance ideas anyone pls??
PLSSS???
Maybe something like this
Omg yesss
Or this
Np!!
would look even better with a bridge
Can someone make a mini museum with some bug or fish models and then post the image here pls?
can you customize log benches? don’t wanna waste my hardwood lol
yes i'm pretty sure you can customize log benches
I checked you can customize the color of the log bench
Trying to figure out what to put behind my resident services - I really wanna do a cliff, but I'm worried about how it might affect the stuff behind it since I have plans for a residential area with a bridge crossing over to it
I mean, I should probably start with flattening the areas I plan to change but still
What bridge do you think would look good to go with the path? It’s not completely finished haha
The wooden zen bridge!
@tough garden Can I also suggest layering your path? Have at least 1 transparent pixel in the design, and then put it down over a stone path or something - it'll form to it rather than being square and I think that usually looks nicer
The Stone bridge
Do you have an example my friend
Here's a pretty good example of what I'm talking about
You only need one transparent pixel in your design to make it happen
Can someone make a mini museum with some bug or fish models and then post the image here pls?
You okay if I message you my friend 😇
I need inspiration for my villager house layout. Can i see what you guys have done with your villager houses?
Go ahead!
Is anyone here an island designer and on UK time? I'll pay in bells or NMTs
Your city island looks awesome
EEP thank you!!! ❤️ it has lil alleys and backstories for the villagers and also a secret 🤫
sorta I am in uk time
DM me
I love when the island has all those alleys and you have to walk around to reach them, it makes it feel bigger. If you have w dream address, would you mind sharing on the dream address channel?
Nice TV
Doing island tours, could use some recommendations of ideas for empty space!
Do you have a specific theme? I like creating "fake buildings" with panels to fill the space... Cafes and bars seem to be a great idea of filling up space too
If anyone could give me tips and suggestions to help me create an imperial/japanese island
has anyone got a cute cottage core/forest type entrance I could see? I’ve been sat for way too long trying to make mine
My entrance before the snow melted
Omg I love
hey how did you achieve this look? i suppose those are cliffs, how did you make them look like that?
bunk beds w/ panels
Sorry only just seen the message but I’ve seen someones answered it! If it helps that window is also accessible by the kiosk! Search window 😄
@blazing blade what is your code for the design you showed earlier ? 😁
Can anybody help me design this area in my city pls ❤️
What theme are you going for?
I am open to everything
No I mean It should stay like a city, only trees, benches and stuff, not a new theme
My island layout looks like the first picture and I want it to make it like the second picture, would it be possible for me to do that?
well for one, the reference map looks like an illustration and most of the icons for the buildings dont make sense. i doubt it's possible to have a completely centred airport and plaza. who knows what those teal resident-service's tent icons mean? also it's impossible to terraform on sand, or have rocks in the middle of the slope between the grass and the beach. nor a horizontal dock against the beach! so from what i think, this isnt actually based off of a map, but possibly inspiration for an island in general or just something done for fun. but i could be wrong
The below terraforming isn't possible, right? I want it to be possible so desperately 😭
If you move the hedge it should be possible, but not with the hedge in that spot
I've tried it without anything on the ground - I'd terraform it first, and then try to plant the tree in that exact spot, and it'd tell me "You're too close to a cliff"
Can someone make a mini museum with some bug or fish models and then post the image here pls?
Oh true, trees can't be planted that close. Did you try placing the tree and terraforming after? I don't know for sure if it would let you
Nah, that definitely doesn't work because when I plant the tree first and then try to terraform that block, it says something like "If you build too close to a tree, you might bury it!"
I'll just assume it's not possible until anyone pipes up and tells me otherwise =/
Ah, I guess it's not possible with the tree there then. 😦 sorry (unless someone knows more than me, I definitely am not great at island design)
What are those fences OMGGG 🥺🥺❤️❤️❤️
Mermaid fence 1 pearl 5 coral 5 sand dollars for 10
Omg I didn't know it existed!! Thank you ✨
I am working on a city
try asking the glitch department if they found anything
Can someone make a mini museum with some bug or fish models and then post the image here pls?
Ah okay ty but do you think it’ll still be possible for me to do something close to it and instead of the resident services being in the middle I was thinking of having my house in the middle and then the resident services take the place of the park
Does anyone have a layout with a waterfall at the entrance? Its my first time terraforming and i just need a referance pic 🥺
would anyone be willing to come to my island and help me with this one area? when someone flies in, it looks terrible and even though it's 5 stars it looks nothing like 5 stars. thanks!
I love this hidden little corner of my island, I would like to move the campsite/pumpkins out and turn it into a Chinese garden or something with that feel, maybe move my rocks there to make it a rock garden too. Anyone have any good inspiration for something like that? It's got a good amount of space, I'm willing to terraform the pond and cliffs some if needed.
What channel do I look for island designers?
WIP of my island
probably. just do what you can do and you could probably compromise for alot of it if you'd like
Why will these two trees not grow? There's space 😩
I think for the left one it's because they need two spaces between other trees. The right one may be too close to the bridge? If nothing else you could move them, let them grow, then move them back
does anyone have tips to make a hiking trail/woods type thing with levels and waterfalls and all that? i want to put my campsite in it too
This may be stupid but how do you get that red mailbox. Also do you have codes for those building walls with the windows
i can answer the bit about the red mail box, its another version a house's mailbox which you can customize at the residential services after ur house is a high enough level. Another benefit of ur house getting a high level is u can move them too which is how they moved it
oh its my mailbox! 😂 i moved it away from my house. the buildings you can find on sables with the search window
Oh cool. Thanks
Wdym about the buildings
the buildings are custom designs on a simple panel!
Ohhh ok thanks!! There’s a search window at the tailor?
if you use kiosk and go to search, leave the design shape as unspecified and just search window! theres some really good ones on there 😄
Oh thank you!!
Can I come to any 1s island to get and idea if what I want to build
id recommend using the random dreamcode island
its a rly cool way to find inspirational islands
Ok thanks 😊
i would send u mine if my island wasnt garbage rn
Can someone make a mini museum with some bug or fish models and then post the image here pls?
On a similar note, I'm in search of inspiration for a small corner of my island because I have been trying to fill it with something but I don't know what to build in such a small space without I looking wierd. Here's the space and a pic of another part of my island
key words or anything works i just need ideas
Can someone make a mini museum with some bug or fish models and then post the image here pls?
sorry i covered ur message
its ok
Can someone show me a non fuzzy picture of both zrn bridges . Can't seem to find a decent one to compare them
Ooohhhh next question... which one do you all think fits more with this style home?
I'm thinking brown
ooh jade palace i like ur inspo, id say brown
Me too okay thanks!
I think you’re in the wrong channel #materials-and-tools
Sorry I joined like yesterday
Oh wow what is this from?
Entrance
its the jade palace from genshin impact
Hey! Does anyone have any ideas of what to put here? I just moved my house!
where would i look for an island designer
i am also looking for a island designer i need help bad 😦
LOl me too
What do I put here? Thinking of doing a courtyard, but don’t have the statues to do it.
@tough garden @tawdry sage you would want to look in the player goods and services tab, or on island visits. Those would be the two places I’d look anyways
Got a really small awkwardly shaped area below my resident services before the bridge. Any ideas? 😭
Maybe a seating area or a brunch spot?
I’ll try that with some rattan stuff and Festivale parasols ☺️
Ooo that be cute!
Thank you!
Np
Can someone make a mini museum with some bug or fish models and then post the image here pls?
Yes but I really just like green so I may just keep it like that XD
My version of the rainbow garden. 🥰
beautiful
Looks so cozy, I love it
hehe thank you so much!
My entrance
I love this little 'secret' corner, I want to make like a Chinese style garden, would be great if I can fit my rocks and some bamboo in the space. Anyone have any good ideas or inspiration for something like that? I moved pumpkins and campsite out, it's got a good amount of space, I'm willing to terraform the pond and cliffs. I have a second pond so I could get rid of this one but it would be nice to incorporate it into the garden if possible.
What’s the arrow sign you’ve got there called?
@hazy fossil where is the player goods and services tabs
Made a beekeepers area.. still a wip
@tawdry sage sorry, typo. Player Crafting Services
Additionally, try asking in the general feed or here. There is also the various outside sources to check as well.
ty
@tawdry sage Make sure to check in general instead of questions and game help (just checked the pins)
What’s the best thing to do with trees when flattening my island to build?
@wild orbit it is best to either place all of them in a spot for easy pickup, or just destroy/trash and re plant. The latter is more time consuming.
They’re all currently up in the top left corner rn so best to just keep them there I guess
Yep. Moving trees or bushes in large amounts is a pain.
So cute! I'm thinking of doing a beekeper/meadery area
I cut down most and keep some on the back of the island
Finished a small part of my city
Keeping them in inventory tales up a lot of space
I need inspiration or ideas for an urban/city style entrance
Not mine but
It's the angled signpost, a DIY object
Always looks better when you have visitors 🙂
@wild orbit If you use the search settings for this channel you may be able to find it. Check the pins for how to use the search.
Idk if I can ask this here, but when is it best to build the water ways? I’ve designed the shops and museum and stuff and idk if I should do my water ways before or after I design the island ? HELPPPP ):
I did mine as i was going along.
but then again. i never have a set plan for what im building so i just go with the flow. pun may or may not be intended 😛
@last basin 😂😂😂 thank you xx
Cool idea!
I’m so obsessed with my graveyard
Nicely done gwynivere
What do you think I should put in this spot?
I tend to waterscape after I do the cliffs
Not sure, maybe a bench?
WIth some flowers
When in doubt add shrubs
Mm yes I made a new area for my house
There's two log staircases on the sides but they aren't visible in the image
Pretty
That looks great!
Also love your house exteriro
I took a picture of my laindry/sewing area before ugly autumn takes over
does anybody have good island theme ideas?? im redoing my island and thinking of what to do lol
Tropical islands are always lovely to look at
I love natural cottage core islands
Or kidcore islands
Or urban islands
I am not good with themes but I start small like a jigsaw puzzle and work my way with one piece at a time, I also try matching villagers places
a perspective island is always cool, although rather fiddly to do
one of the coolest themes ive ever seen is a zoo theme
Does anyone have any ideas for what I could put in front of the fences for Ursalas house? I'm stuck and can't find anything that looks good to fill in the gap.
Willow got for example lots of pink, white and gold
maybe a bench
Yeah I was thinking that but I don't want it to block out the flowers.
ahh yeah, maybe a tiny library
A flower wagon would also look nice
ou a tiny library would look so cute!
Hmm okay yeah I'll try those and get your approval for it hold on haha
it would also look like a little mailbox :3
offtopic but villagers need mailboxes, would be so cute
i agree!!!
calling all japanese inspired islands, what sort of things do you put on display on your stalls?
thats so pretty!!
Aw thanks
what is that bamboo with the white rocks at the bottom thing called?!
Okay so which one looks best? Or should I try and adjust it somehow?
Is the garden wagon too much? It seems a bit big to me
I like #1
the first image seems better
It could be, I don’t really know lol
idk how you would adjust it lol
I agree, I'd go for #1 too, but they both look quite fine
#1
Okay I'll stick with 1 then for now haha. I think I'll definitely keep the tiny library there though. It's suits it well
oh my god that villager is so lucky to have such a pretty outdoor area
Its for Cookie 🙂
omg she deserves it
thats absolutely adorable!!! i love the fireplace set up!
does anyone have a cute campsite setup? mines so emptyyy
kidcore is really colorful and unique!! that one maybe
Ideas to put here?
how do you guys come up with areas you want on your island? or a theme? im really torn between the cute happy fun vibe of kidcore and chill natural vibe of cottagecore- also i came up with this map to restart, but now that im working on it, it seems boring when youre dropped down into it
maybe a meditation/yoga/work out area?
aw thank you i worked on it for like 2 days but now that im doing the terraforming it looks so basic so i was feeling defeated
maybe i can do like a chill pastel kidcore island
my idea was to have an area for each villager as if it was like their shop- but it was something they would fit for their interests
like sherb has a bakery, marshal a cafe, goldie has a library, flora has the shooting star lookout etc
yea like they work there i thought itd be cute and fun idk how to pull it off with a theme tho
ive been stalling with watching yt videos for inspo
but now i feel even more indecisive lmao theres soooo much good takes out there
well, actually i think youre right and i can go with a pastel cute kidcore
to make it chill and more natural
like the white wooden stuff
aw
thank you so much for talking it out w me haha i think i just got stuck for a minute but this really helped!
do y'all have any inspo for markets and cafes?
Here is a tailors market i did, hope it helps
that definitely helps thank you so much :))
hi! can anyone make me a map?
What should I fill this in with? I’m trying to go for more of a botanical garden or a courtyard...but I just don’t know how to full in the space (I will be putting down leaf patterns on the ground later)
You could put a fountain in the middle and if you figured out a way to make it work without the path looking weird you could add some shrubs around the fountain if not just some iron benches around the fountain idk
not my image but found this and thought it might help
That’s what I was trying to describe I just didn’t do a very good job lol
@last basin @kind gyro Thank you for the tips. I’ll keep them in mind.
Should I make this a mum farm or add other types of “crops”?
Pretty proud of this fountain design (raymond likes it too)
some progress on my new entrance, any feedback? constructive criticism is v welcomed!
More trees cuz it looks stunning rn
ty! ill definitely plant more then :>
🥰❤️❤️
So good 🙂
that looks so great 😄 i am aiming for a similar theme but with white and pink instead of the blue
ty, and same! im planning on adding some pink elements throughout the island too, good luck with your theme!
The front of my Able’s sis shop, should all of the fences be of one type? (Not fully done)
yes
I would say that fence looks good (: im not the best ar designing but i think it fits better like that rather than placing shrubs, flower etc alongisde it
I would remove the blue fence around the bamboos
I think the other two match the place
Ok
thank youuu
Does anyone have any pics or videos of their neighborhoods? I'm not sure how I want mine to layout
.t sizes
•• Building Sizes / Dimensions ••
https://tinyurl.com/y8j5qppk
@hazy fossil since you mentioned botanical garden, the outdoor bath/pond item would be good. Or how about a butterfly garden area! Maybe make a rectangle or square grass space in the center, and surround it with hedges or bushes. Then add some butterfly (or other bugs) figures in there and maybe some flowers and a few garden rocks
Aside from that, other things you can add are trees
Garden lamps or bamboo lamps, or something to light the area at night
Statues from Redd
I made a new Stargazing area on my island...need some recommendations/feedback on what I can do to further improve! 🥰
That looks really nice!
@trail acorn aww tysm. Any suggestions?
I'm not sure. It looks really good as is
@trail acorn 🥰
one day my island will look cool
My Orchard :)
It's so cute omg
I REALLY want to do this
Where do I put it
I would say the bottom right since it doesn't seem like much is going in there
That’s what I was thinking, thanks
Tarzan swinging through the jungle
awesome use of simple panels 🙂
Awww thank you both @woven drift and @last basin
hewwo fwends
Treehouse looking fantastic!
Hey does anyone known what these items are called that I circled?
the flower is called lily of the valley, the flower wagon is called a garden wagon, i think the rock is a flat garden rock, the log is a mush stool with a moms candle on it
Ty!
My rustic beach 🪵
Behind my Nooks Cranny is a long area of land, and I made it into a long campsite area. I’m kind of beginning to not like it. What are some area ideas that I could incorporate in this area? I’ve already done a cafe and a library. I’m also thinking about moving my campsite completely but I’m still thinking about that.
fishing spots always go good with campsites 🙂
do u guys have any tips for marketplaces with stalls ?
any particular type? i have like 5 different markets on my island 😛
Here is my farmers market. or did you have something else in mind ? hope this helps
Hey guys! Anyone have any ideas for right here? I was gonna place a kids tent here but I wanted some other opinions
a reading nook or maybe a tea area with a couple tables
Hmm I mean if I put them together them I can make like a reading area?
that would work yeah!

I’m dedicating a large portion of my island to Mario any ideas of what I should have there?
So since I almost finished my reading area what should I do here? This was a hottub for my villager, ken
I'm just trying to gather the items for the reading area that's why the logs are still there
Hey guys, my airport is super close to my resident services and I’m trying to make a cute entrance. I was going to terraform waterfalls and stuff, but idk if that will look good. I think I’m just going to create a seating area with some trees and flowers and stuff. If anyone has any advice on how to terraform, or making a good entrance lmk!
I need major help with my island layout....I wanna go for a small town picket fence kinda vibe but idk where to begin with my houses because I want them to have yards too. Sort of like an old timey 1950’s vibe
any suggestions on my playground? it feels empty (ft pietro
)
You should move all of your residents homes away from where the main construction will happen. From there, you can use hedges, dirt, anything to map out where you wanna put the houses. Then once you figure out where you wanna put them all, talk to Tom Nook about moving them onto the property you mapped out. Ultimately, I assume that's the best course of action to take.
^^^ id move everything to the beach and map it out
any good or reset?
it doesn’t really matter, just depends on what you want
@limber shadow i'm asking ppls opinions in bad at picking layouts
you can’t change rocks, beaches, river mouths, and RS so wherever you want them
oh lmao oops
you could ditch the log benches and the hedges and put a fountain there
Though I did suggest this.. if you have 9 residents, this will be very very pricey.
50k is the price to move a home, so if you have 9 homes to move that'd be 50k x 9 which is 450,000.
Plus you'd have to move them again to put them back where you want them, so it'd be 450k x 2 which is 900,000.
top right doesn't look too bad i think
one of the top ones
It's mainly about the beaches and rocks. You can always redo the water streams
But you cannot redo where the current ends.
id probs do like top right
Mhm, it has 3 pieces of land. All separate which can be connected via bridges.
Yo ima need someone opinion
?
@flat flume with my entrance, its a path to the plaza but it has too many flowers. I'll post a pic in a sec
👌
I want it to be decorated but it's too much flowers,I want it to have access to the other side like how you can run through flowers @flat flume
top left or top right, reset bc i hated my starters
right
any reason?
I'd pick right as well personally, also because of the streams
homie, tbh, stop restarting, your starters are gonna have basic, terrible houses anyway
you can just slowly get good villagers over time
with the added bonus of good houses
i like the bottom two
especially the right
most people seem to have their resident services on the right
so you can be unique with it on the left
and your peninsula is immediately accessible there
i wanna make a town type thing not natural so
so you can make something cool w it
Forgive the crude drawing lol, I visualize better this way. Found a cool idea for a tiered residential area and made my own version. (The middle is a river with stepping stones) Player house is the top right. My question is, if you had this layout would you put your two favorite villagers -
1: On the level under your house so you're close to them? Or
2: On the left-side top level so they have a place of honor above the rest?
bottom right or left @coarse peak
bottom right
i did this layout and i regretted it. feels artificial and bad
maybe u want it to be real town-esque
Aw really? I'm the opposite of creative so I'm trying to find ideas to work with online
well
how many times can u reset or is there a limit? this is my 4th time bc i hated my old RS placemnet
♾️
i'm tryna like, make my villagers feel like they're part of the island, so what i'm doing is actually making em be little shop owners of their own
You can reset as many times as you want
like ima have tangy running an orchard
julian as a fortune teller
so i think it's nice to give them all their own special region
instead of a very like, artificial suburban neighborhood
not ragging on people who do that, but it isn't for me
That's fair. I like your idea, I want to give everyone a space that fits their style. My problem is I just stare at my map for ages and have no idea what to terraform or where anything should go.
that's fair, i think you should find a small area that you have inspiration for and then go from there, if that makes sense
like, i made a little hangzone on my peninsula with a kids tent and champagne,, lol
and from there we have a cliff with a park, some paths cutting thru cliffs, etc
start REALLY small
don't try to plan out the wholeass island bc u will get overwhelmed
I am quite fond of this top left corner, because of the cliffs it feels like a secret so I want to put a Chinese bamboo/rock garden there. Otherwise I'm not attached to anything. I literally just threw down all the houses because I reset my game right before a holiday and wanted to progress in time to play it
yeah, that's a great zone
i like the idea of an asiatic camp site
so like, start there
i got katt and drift, im super happy w/ katt
more progress on my entrance!
maybe make it more tropical with some of the palm trees?
if u ever wanna get drift out i will take him
pog
It just needs balance. You can go with a grid layout but if you decorate it to make it feel like it isn’t in a grid such as forcing people to walk in different directions its better
my island is rather rainforest-y and he's a mighty cute jock
yeah, some people do good grids
i am not one of those people, so if someone asks for my opinion i say, go with a more organic style
I was thinking I'd move the camp out to put in things like outdoor baths and decorative stones, plus put my rocks in there for convenient harvesting if I can make it look good
its so hard to decorate cause the blank canvas overwhelms me
like I just finished a secret beach area thing and it took me like a week for a tiny little section of my island
maybe make your in brain lore be that the campsite is in the middle of hot springs lol
get those baths there
some kinda nice outdoor spa
If I ever reset my island again I'm gonna save myself a million bells and place all the houses on the beach from the start lol
i feel ya. im having the same problem tbh, id say get ideas from youtube/islanders you look up to if there are any, pinterest has a lot of good stuff for inspo. having a theme can help too! good luck!
I have the fairycore theme and I love visiting dream addresses to get inspiration but the second I pull out my terraforming tool I completely blank😭
do you usually start in different areas at a time?
campsite is ready for spring visitors
that's hella cute
thank you
Tried to add a circle pond in my resident services area. As luck would have it, it can’t be perfectly centered 😔
make it an oval
That’s what I ended up doing. The circle was just so cute and small lol
My laziness partially inspires my almost-grid layout. I can't stand running for a long time just to go from nooks cranny to the airport etc so things are centered there
Can anyone help me with my entrance I need some inspiration.
Can people show unreleased items here?
My friend wants to show off an area with a warp pipe here but I think you'd get a sting or ban
Ok, he asked for me to show it so I'll show, it's a zelda theme btw
I'm importing the vid
Its gonna be a bit before its posted btw
It's the time warp from zelda
I feel as if I'm gonna get banned or something, hopefully not...
Looking for stall ideas? why not try this one 🙂 a pet shop! 🐶
Aw that's cute
I'm having trouble try to decide what to do with this empty space around town square. Much right now is just a foundation because I love the decoration
Ables 💓
Ohh that's such a beautiful pathway
Anyone got any tips for a flower storage type area that doesn't look like an ugly mess?
Anyone have any tips for a rural entrance? Kinda blanking on where to start for my entrance
try making like a type of small/medium sized flower garden (with a specific type of flower, for example the one you have the most) and you can do cliffs and waterfalls at the background, and place a villagers home next to it
Lopez now has his yard done 🙂
could someone please help me figure out how to design a resident area? here’s my current layout
What can I do with this little bit of space? Right next to my rock garden and residence area.
A flower garden or a waterfall or a playground
kids park
playground actually a better idea than flower garden lol
Thank you guys for the suggestions! I have all these, actually. Also a graveyard and a library.
what about a little market place
I could see what I have in storage to start with a little market!
I tried creating a mario level on my island with the space I have and this is what I got so far
does anyone have photo of their community area or their proudest villager outdoor setup? I need ideas please ;;
just wanted to share what i managed to create so far, if anyone had any tips or anything that would be great!! ☺️💕
These are the best I've made :)
Hi
I see
That's not nice
So... I am making an asian themed island but I don't want a normal pathway of stone. Something a bit more mossy or nature intwined... so far this is what I got
Thats nice
Which ones? I can't devcide...they all look so pretty
maybe use all for different things
Hmmmm okay I think I know what to do for some like garden areas and a soa but which one for bridge paths?
Ohh okay ... well don't laugh but...
it's a custom island based on a custom world I made up in dungeons and dragons....
I'm trying to make it real but it's hard to see what should be there when it's literally a mash up of China Japan and korea
See.y problem!!!!
Thank you though. I started using that one too but I wasn't sure. You were a big help!
Onlyvrecently
how can I improve this Place, any Ideas?
Wow that's really nice
thanks!
Its a major work in progress, 1/2 is still empty
I did not even finish the game I am still on project kk slider
I'm open for tours on day too I wanna be proud!
i was 5 days ago lmao
@grave patrol what do you feel is missing or wrong with it?
But I've only been playing for two months and never played animal crosding til now... my roommate thinks I'm alien for not knowing about this tillage Christmas
HAHA
idk just this little something
ARR YOU!?!?
omgg
P
What time is it where your from
I'm night shift lol unless itsmy day off
i dont want it like to be to open, but then not to closed if that makes any sense
@grave patrol I think it looks good so far. For me I would probably swap out some of the flowers for bushes, or log stakes, or even a garden rock. What about some lighting for night time? Like garden lantern. All the flowers are fine, but you could also consider a color scheme, and choose just one, two, or three diff colors and stick with that. Just ideas. Random flower colors is fine too if that’s a vibe you’re going for.
thanks that helped a lot
I wanted to have a lot of different flowers, so it is very colorfull
and I wanted it to be a bit random so it looks natutal
@civic sapphire
Weeee
I love it 😍 it looks really natural. How about a few of the trees that might be blocking the view of the path, you make them stunted so that they’re large young tree/cedar?
Yes!
My Katt’s yard 🙂
ah thank u!! i thought about that and i chopped a few diwn, I would quite like to have a few young trees — would I just have to put sand underneath them to have them stunted? I just don’t want that to ruin my like grassy-theme i have going on
wow so cute
that looks so good!
Ty!
I want to make a café but what should the vibe be
@cerulean hill you have to plant a fruit right near it to stunt it.
@hazy raven wow thanks for the inspo !!
@cerulean hill I was thinking the cedar tree right near the straw fence could be stunted, and since there’s another tree in front of it, it could easily cover any little fruit tree sapling, if you don’t want it to be in view
ah thank u!! yeah it might help make it look a bit more forest-y too if i have a few stunted, I’ll play around with that idea over the next few days cuz i dont time travel lol — thank u for ur help!!
Yw!
Yay or nah to the layout?
@stark sinew i would make the path from the airport 1 square larger 🙂
Here’s my area for kabuki. I think he’s a grandpa so I want him to have a retirement retreat.. any ideas on how to improve it?
you can use https://eugeneration.github.io/HappyIslandDesigner/ to plan you island
Hey,does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can place in this space? Had to get rid of the two sports pitches due to not having custom design slots? I have a pretty modern city theme. Preferably something that incorporates the rocks. Thanks so much for your help!
u could always do a rockgarden where your soccerfield is 🤷♀️
maybe incoorperate some diy rock designs (if u have any) and some trees and fences? make it look like a modern day park area maybe?
Yeah I’ll look into that, was maybe thinking some sort of farm. Thanks 🙂
I don't think it's empty per se, it's just really spaced out which is kinda refreshing tbh. If you wanna fill in the space though, maybe add an additional springy horse and 2 extra tires (perhaps customize in different colors). In the bottom right corner, you may also have space for a wooden block table and chairs (customize so it looks colorful and kid friendly) and 2 board games, or 1 board game and 1 painting set or something atop the table. There's always the ring toss, beach balls, and other small item additions that nicely fill in gaps if you don't wanna do bigger items.
tysm!
I'm having trouble figuring out what to do with the blind spot behind buildings (Able's, Nook's, and RS). It looks very empty from above, but it looks like very limited space from the ground. What are people doing with the behind-building spaces?
I would suggest to put custom chalk drawings on the floor for a "fuller" look. There are many cute designs. You can also put hopscotch custom design on it.
@keen mist i put them in front of cliffs!
I made a path behind the shops going to my museum which is located at the back 😅 I saw people usually place their shops near the cliff so yeah... Also I made waterfall behind my RS so it doesn't look empty haha
Thanks, peeps.
See, that's my problem. I'm not a fan of cliffs or trees, so I'm definitely going through a self-imposed struggle in this game. But a cliff makes total sense for the shops, though.
I have a resident services that's super far to the right side of my airport, so it's really annoying to make an entrance since I can't really frame my RS that well. I'm thinking of doing something like this (maybe have a water feature, wind around to the front of resident services - lots of cliffs, trees and bushes)
This is just a rough sketch for the idea, but I was wondering if anyone else has a similar layout. I'm looking for inspiration to get started - anything goes
Does anyone have a seasonal area, I need inspiration
My mario playground:3
Anyone have a rural or “dream/cottagecore” type island? And if you do, could I look at it and see what I can do with my island? It’s currently just grass
I hate some of the placement restrictions... cmon Nintendo, just lemme place a tree here dangit!
Lol been through that too
ugh its so annoying
I feel your pain
The cleanup service would be nice for removing flowers that you have so many of.
But we can’t have nice things because the game doesn’t allow it
So my shops and plaza is done. Everything else is plain lol.
I need some inspiration from a forest-ish theme island, for cute spots and entrance. Anyone who have a DA or pictures they wanna share?:)
any suggestions for what to do here ?
Straight Fax
Hi guys, I've got this big open space that I don't know what to do with, anyone got any ideas?
bamboo & tea drinking spot !
You can put some streetlight if you want
maybe a little mini camp, or picnic area?
A picnic area sounds cute, might do that then!
idk what to put in this area, it's right at my southeastern beach. i can't extend it to the left cause that's where my entrance is, but i can extend it slightly north, and to the right
maybe you could make a little spiral maze or photo area? i think that wou;d fit!!
i might try building a little wall around the front, maybe turning it into like, a little spa? idk.
Looking to pay of a inlince or bridge that 98k to 128k if interested dm me ill only be doing this once Lf nook miles
Working on my museum
What should i put here?
Not sure what to put on the green slabs
@ember copper is this to the museum?
Yeah
Do any of you keep hybrids and Lilly’s of the valley when flattening if you have so many flowers?
You could close off the outside 1 block waterfall and put fossils on both sides. You could also do flowers/small fossils if you don't want to do that
you could craft some graves and put on there? i think they fill 1x3 squares
like flowers on the two outer ones and graves on the inner ones
I was planning to put another fossil on the second level across from the mammoth
Probably another mammoth
Oh gotcha! hmmm I still like the idea of closing off the end waterfall. If you want like a more eerie vibe, barrels, cricket cage, skull, and statues are nice ideas, If you want it more touristy then fish/butterfly models would be good
Why not a Trex to battle it in an epic showdown?
COOL
More work on my entrance - I'm wanting to go for forest/mountaincore with some mushroom elements. I decided to try planning digitally since it was taking too long making mistake after mistake on the game.
Grey is paths, red is bushes and brown is trees. I'm trying to fit the top left area together so that I can flow from the entrance to resident services flawlessly, and I'd appreciate any advice
I see some brown grass on some island photos here, has the colour not changed to green already on northern hemisphere? I'm dreading the brown grass on my island design
I think a farm or gardening area would look nice there
Northern hemisphere island here - yeah, the grass is currently brown. It should hopefully lighten up a bit by mid-march
Ok, thanks!
I am trying to do a mario level avenue how does is looking?
I finished my coffee shop but I still feel like I could add more? Any suggestions?
@torn geode the plans looks good so far. My RS is to the far upper right and my airport is to the mid left. It's a larger space than you have between yours, so I'm facing the same problem. I spent all morning terraforming my rivers and I'm still not ready to move forward with everything else. The only advice I can give is going one bit at a time. Tried putting a nice plaza in front of my RS, but it may move in front of the airport instead as it honestly doesn't look right.
hello does someone have four sun loungers?
Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone can help me with finding the best place to put my camp site
@lavish quartz could you send us your map?
and circle the areas you were considering
How do I do that?
Take a picture on your phone and upload it to discord
@lavish quartz Do you have terraforming yet? I assume not. Something to consider is the theme/vibe you want to go with in the future once you have terraforming. Personally, I end up placing everything on the beach when I can so that way I save bells and have room to terraform without having to move the houses and stuff all around so you could consider that. If you like the island as is or what to place it on the ground. I like that mini island you have in the center. I would place it on the first level
I actually really like the river shape you have aside from that top river that goes into the river circle. Are you going for a more natural feel? city? both?
i have like no game time on this game how do you get terraforming?
#acnh-chat⛱️ may be more helpful. You need to get K.K. Slider on your island. So you need 3 stars I think
I think both
Again #acnh-chat⛱️ would be where you would want to go
well maybe add some chair and table
ok
@lavish quartz I think it would be pretty cool to have the city area in the bottom right half, then keep that campsite in the river circle then fade up to forest/natural everywhere else. So pretty much use the river as a divider between natural and urban/civilized
So the center island?
You could also consider having the museum when you want to move it a little further back (on the other side of that river that's behind it. So you can make it it's own special area and fade into trees and stuff
Yes center island
So on the museum across the right hand side river from the center island?
Yeah one sec let me draw on your picture
So maybe something like this, blue being the bridges, red being the museum and campsite.
My suggestion is when you get terraforming (or use patterns on the ground) to space out the bridge and buildings so you know exactly where you want them. For instance, I would want the bridge to be where I run most often. You can find the spacing for bridges and buildings online to help
Thank you so much
One thing to note in general for people. Idk if yall are the same, I typically try to keep bridges near my river mouths since I run the perimeter of the beach when I fish/check for gulliver/looks for DIY bottle/star frags/etc. It just hellps make the game more playable 🙂
My rustic beach 🌴
oke- so I think I'm gonna make my island a forest-y enchanted-like theme. if anyone has any inspo or ideas lmk! ^w^
Hey, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can put here? I have had to get rid of the sports pitches as I don’t have the custom design slot space. I have a modern city island and most of the common things - park, cafes, library etc I already have.
Any suggestions are much appreciated!
maybe add some iron garden furniture for guests to sit
public pool 🙂
@cold vine Agree that would be awesome, but in the top right I have a hotel and it has a pool area there :/
you can make a little workshop area for yourself if you have not already. Or you could do a little caffe/food stands
@cold vine a workshop area sounds cool, I’ll look on YouTube for workshop inspo. I have a good amount of cafe/stands. Thanks 🙂
@lavish quartz @stiff thunder I have that same map with my airport being far to the left. What I did is place the museum up on the far right against the cliff to the left and the rocks to the back. I then used the island in the middle as my shopping district. I'm changing it now, but that's how it started. My campsite is randomly along the top cliff for now.
Any botanical garden inspo?
hiii
Does this look better with the pointed inner corners or curved inside? (Just standing in that spot to get a better pic, that’s going to be water)
ummm... let me see the other option
Points are on the left, curves on the right
Just not sure if I should round the inside part or not
curved corners
what corner???
if you look at the pic, part of the path has pointed edging and the other has curved.
Corners that are curved
mario aniversary
Pointed
really love how my rainbow beach turned out. i can’t get all of it in one frame but you get the idea
How could I improve this?
is anyone on here really good at assisting with island layout's lol
If you’re looking for inspiration this is the right place! But if you’re looking for someone to come your island and assist then please do so in #690093605821480980
@fallen zealot Maybe add some more little shops in front of the little garden and satellite? Or some benches and street lights since you are going for that city vibe
Ok
i have a random long space in front of lucky and ketchup's houses - looking for ideas for what to do with it ?
i would make a little cafe but i already have one for tia so i don't wanna be repetitive
is there an item that acts like a chest where other people can open? I'd like to store my diys so I dont have to keep using stalls :(
Hey im really bored with my island rn does anyone have any good ideas for a cute area on my island?
Woah, absolutely love this!

Does anyone know how to get different coloured mushrooms?
Like furniture or actual mushrooms?
That would be so handy 😭 I don’t think there’s anything like that right now.
:( nintendo pls
The ones in the mario section
Also how long will the mario items be available
You can order them right now from the nook shopping app! and they're not limited so they'll always be available to order
There's not unfortunately, no
This is my festivale/party area🥳 I liked how it looked with the snow but I’m not sure about the grass, does anyone have any path/flooring recommendations? (Sorry for the not so great quality photo!)
My learning center next to the museum
Always Halloween on my island 🖤
WIP for Prometheus's holy shrine of the primal flare in front of my museum... LET THE FIRE BE !!!
I need some feedback on this area, the path is supposed to be rounded out but I couldn't find a transparent version and I need to know if it looks weird
I think it looks fine! Maybe move the floor lights to be on each corner square!
👍 😸🌸
I made an orchard but it looks kinda boring and idk what to add to it- (there’s peaches, oranges, apples, and pears on the trees usually)
do you have the pattern codes for that house you made??
@peak turtle try adding a nice fence around the trees
Ok I’ll do that
Maybe some shrubs or farm like things such as water pumps, wooden buckets, a box with a bowl of fruit on it, etc
Oooo I’ll add some things like that
The start of Animal Crossing x Pokémon x Mario island
Surround it by terraforming so you only see the level
Recently, I made this Cafe, any tips to improve?
I frustate at terraforming and i am actually just know terraform rivers
Anyone have a Mario themed area?
I LOVE THIS UPDATE GIVE ME ZELDA ITEMS AND IM SET.
Promotion? I’m not up to that yet Hh
You should if its updated!
@cunning tundra omgeee so awesome! Can't wait to visit some islands and explore all the Mario themed islands!
ugh i can't wait. i've been time traveling for a minute so i don't have anything new yet
Been trying to make a pretty entrance (grey is path, red is bushes, brown is trees)
I'd appreciate some advice, especially for the path. I can make major edits to this so things like moving a whole area up or down, left or right is easy
how does my able sisters look? : )
It looks so.... natural-City so 9/10
thanks 😄
I want someone rate mine
I have wood path so i guess could work
yeah use that
What do u think about the lamps?
They cant be put on a table
they cant? man that sucks
How does my able sis look?
It looks from a city of 22 century 10/10
But looks good
This is nooks cranny
8/10
Still haven’t decorated
I suggest put some streetlamps
I was going to put blossom lights
Little overgrown town
Entrance
Wow! Love the vibes!! The white tiles do attract a little of the attention away though
Thank you c: but they will stay as they are the crossover for the traintrack (guidelines for blind people) and in germany we got white ones instead of yellow ones so thats why they are white
Oh yeah we have those too here
Hmm
You cloud make them a little faded though?
Or somthing like that
Hm yeah thats a thought
Oof
not sure if this counts as an island layout but this is my little hangout
@grizzled jetty We're living in the 21th century XD
Hard vibing 50 years straight
Cuz it looks like a future island
Anyone have any seasonal areas
hey guys, im really struggling on where to put a residential area for all my villagers, could anyone help me on deciding where it could go
I could, send a pic of ur map
I need to decide where its going before deciding anything else I think
i would put them on the second and third levels on your island, it would cost lots of bells for inclines and moving the houses tho
So people can't make futuristic islands then?
oh i have the bells to move the
does anyone have any ideas on what I can put here? I was thinking a small diving area but I’m not too sure
Ive seen people make small drive through movies with Panels and car beds, but there are probably better ideas
Hey can I come to anyone’s five star island to see your layout and get some ideas ☺️ similar lay out if possible
Anyone got campsite ideas? Specifically ones with kids tents?
Duh 😂🤦🏻♀️
@patent elbow sorry for the bad quality pic, but here's mine
I circled where I put the tents
What building is this???
those are panels and stalls craftfully arranged into a building
zell’s house 🙂
Looking from some inspo on how I can incorporate mario items into my island in a cute way
Used some of the mario items
i love it
anyone have any thoughts on what i should put here? (furniture, clothing, paths, etc.)
What is the island name? Lol

treehouse.
Anyone have good fairycore inspo?
That looks incredible
Pintrest is a such dangerous place for my island cause all it takes is one picture and i change E V E R Y T H I N G. I went from a flowery dino oasis to a zoo with villagers*
haha same!
I wish you could rename your island to match a changing island theme.
that’s adorable!! i love the tree stump seat idea!
so natural and pretty!
this is so cooL! I Love how you used the log stakes and sofas as a fence and how it looks so natural and integrated in
The cherry tree is perfect there
Aw, thank you
I have to continue terraforming my sunken waterfall but I'm just standing waiting autumn diy balloons pass by, which haven't happened so far. Also, if anyone has sunken waterfall pictures, I would love to see
does anyone have any inspo for libraries?
this isnt mine but if you just keep some things in mind it helps, vary the sizes of the waterfalls up often, add bits of land between here and there to place flowers, weeds, or custom patterns to add some color or tell a story with it
this is another nice example i found with a simple color scheme with flowers that tie all that blue color into the landscape as well
hope these help^
Does anyone have inspiration for a citycore neighborhood? Or anything else
ah that’s the perfect size, thank you!!
i love the layout, thank you!!
.t sizes
•• Building Sizes / Dimensions ••

Those examples look amazing!!! Thought they are huge! I wonder if I have enough space to do that, but I might try a smaller version. Thanks!
I'm glad I could help 😊
❌ Tag Does Not Exist!
The tag you attempted to display does not exist!
gorgeous!
Yeah, what @gildor said. Panels and stalls put together lol
Anyone have any rustic looking playgrounds? I have quite a natural forest type island so im wanting rather muted colours
mixed wood toy block furniture, rocking horses, clackercarts, etc
Thank you ❤️ also thank you @sour kelp , there is a slowmode, so I will thank ya both together ❤️
Ofc! 💞
So I made a two-tiered waterfall directly behind my plaza. What else can I add to this to make it cute look nice? I'm not really sure what the theme of my island is, but the map is very angular, and my pathways alternate between brick and terracota. At the moment, there's nothing on the top layer. Should I put a third-tier, or some items?
Instead of using black flowers you can use pink ones and put bright colors around it
aaaa just happened I was looking into this and I found a picture around the net
Hope this layout would be helpful for a cute spark (they also added a tree right behind)
this is blessed, thank you both
I'm creating a small pumpkin patch / farm but feels like something is missing any ideas on what else to put !
beach balls that look like watermelons, scarecrows, cacao trees, placed tools ?
@fierce surge great ideas thanks !
no prob! good luck
Here's what my pumpkin/veggie patch looks like, if that helps?
@bleak wind oh wow that looks so good and helps alot thanks!
Aw, thank you so much ❤️ ! I'm glad I could help 😊
My pumpkins are just kinda near my house, I haven't made a spot for them yet but when I do. im gonna make it look ✨ pretty ✨
I have this empty spot next to my house and I don’t know what to do with it. I already have a crafting area
Could I see everyone’s villager yards
@last basin that is so pretty !!!!
urgh now my island is filled to the brim with areas, im struggling for ideas for the last few little spaces ... i have most of the things on the list posted just above. rip
Haha lol my villagers house are just lined up in 2 rows 😂
Ugh I'm currently redoing my island and I'm struggling so much at this point
@jagged laurel
Made this little Mario Themed Entrance! Like it?
@nocturne anvil omg that's looks amazing!
sorry about Elise photobombing
couple of the new mario items scattered about
Sharis treehouse, not sure what pic looks better but oh well
Any ideas on what to put it looks too plain
coconut trees
Working on my market place now, what other kinds of stalls and items should I add to it? I’m also leading the market out to a little tiki bar area im working on next
You don have many space I see, you can make it look cluttered with trashcans, bags, boxes, items like a bicycle for expample like a japanese small town
stalls maybe for cakes, clothes, books, honey, toys, fruit/juice, plants, pottery
Oo thanks cool idea , yea I tried making their own gardens but it too much space@nocturne anvil
thank you! 😄
@real orbit maybe put tables and chairs in front of the bakery booth
Im thinking about doing that if I have enough room. Im kinda ambitious with such a small space lol
literally me 😛
@real orbit haha ah dont worry I feel ya !
my island is soo damn cluttered that alot of stuff just pops into existence when i run past
i knw this question may not be right for here, but im trying to think of a house idea for judy, rn i have a cottagecore/forestcore/junglecore i guess? what should i do for her house?
The same happend to me, even tought I dont think I have that many stuff in it...
@crystal charm maybe see what she like and incorporate that and also Google what style she likes and take into consideration what theme your island is
okay, thanks! :)
Tia likes the seating area apparently
aw
anyone have any outdoor spa areas i can see? 🙂
Yah, it takes a lot of space. Thats why I make every house throughout all the map rather than the same place, that way a can be more creative with their yards.
@nocturne anvil the problem with that is I'm terrible with placing stuff on my island 😂 like the where it goes and how to decorate it
i tend to just place stuff haphazardly and then fill in the gaps 😛
Scarecrow, wheelbarrow, place a shovel, add a stool, change fencing to hay fence. You can also separate the dirt patch with the other dirt pattern and make a ‘path’ to access the pumpkins.
@formal imp oooh thanks alot ! Also love the name n pfp 😂
Me too, my island had been through so many trasformations actually. 😅
really liked how my rainbow beach turned out!!
@nocturne anvil same I even had too restart the game cause I wasn't happy with how things were 😅
Someone told me to come here but. .I'm looking for someone to design a map for me! I'll give 500k bells.
Does anyone know if its possible to make a giant diamond shape with paths?
Any ideas for this space next to nooks? I feel like it dosent fit the island aesthetic im looking right now.
@nocturne anvil maybe a parking space or a little park with benches
dont think that its possible with the default pathing in the game. custom codes will for sure. closest ull get with the default pathing is a heart shape
what us your aesthetic? if you dont mind me asking
Kinda like a forest in develoment esc lol (some areas rural and other part like a forest with a lot of trees and water areas). In front of that there is a huge lake for fishing with benches. And next to it is a beach.
for this walkway to my museum
should i:
a.) make the sides a ditch and put fossils and trees in them
or b.) make the sides on a cliff and have like, rocks and stuff on them (trees wont fit)
i like the idea of option A, would look like a cool land bridge going over a forest
Mine is forest themed too and this is next to my nooks. hope it helps
only issue is that i already have a suspension bridge that goes over a forest oof
@last basin that looks super cute !
so pretty !
Awesome, it actually made sense to have a bicycle rent place cuz the forest in font and the beach. I would try to make it work. Thanks 😁
i feel like the street i started working on seems off, and bland.. anyone got any ideas any reason why it seems so..off?
well it looks a bit off center but as for the bland part maybe u could use more stuff to spice it up. Like garbage bags, random plants, lights, bushes, benches etc..
Anybody see a Twilight (movie) themed island 🏝?? Was contemplating taking on the task
I think it may look off because resident services is asymmetrical to the road, and unfortunately i dont think it would be even unless you moved the entire set up. but as @ rolplix said, you can add a bunch of decor, hedges, and maybe a bicycle to spice up the scenery
Or a hotdog stand. 😊
Add vending machines and soda machines, some empty boxes would help too
