okay, i upgraded, the resident service, and im going to get the museum, tom wants the nooks granny upgraded, i flattened out my island next to the airport, cuz thats where im going to start building and terraforming, but i still have, hills, rivers, and trees, on parts of my island, but when i start building and terraforming next to the airport, is there any tips for terraforming and placing things, like nature, paths, furniture next to the terraforming. since when i start terraforming, i dont know where im going to put, paths, nature, or any furniture. so tips ??

its a good way to map out your island. its kinda hard to tell people/give tips on how to make/place their paths and furniture to look natural. try not to have straight paths or have your trees in perfect lines/rows.

you can also go visit different DAs or watch youtube videos of island tours to get ideas

been messing around with the landscaping tools for a little bit, and i got my grand island vision yesterday.

I want to carve out the cliffs and rivers in such a way that i can place every villager's house in a sort of "cresent" formation. I'm using paths to form squares in the places that houses may go, but nothing is truly set in stone.

as for the bottom half, I want it to be a shopping district with a sort of "plaza" near the airport

should be interesting to see how far into this i get before i get lazy.

@zinc gulch put a picnic set or some mugs and a small plant on the table so it doesn't look as bare and maybe a plucked flower in a vase. Also put the barbeque item somewhere considering that's what it's meant to be lol. You could also add small cushions on the blankets and add a few teddy bears with flowers dotted around the grass.

I have a similar layout for my neighborhood, and I wanted to keep the houses evenly spaced so I made paths from the front of each house starting at the far end, and made them connect all in the middle. I also made note of how much fencing. Doing that helped A LOT to keep them aligned evenly, if that’s something you’d like to try! I like yours a lot, you might have more room to decorate their yards than me...😂

The motor sign has been used for all sorts of things
