If you want some opinions, I personally feel that the marketplace banners and trash cans don't belong in the middle of the street, but rather on the side of the street or in a marketplace area

I was kinda going for an advertisement type of feel with the stalls, rather than them be actually tended too, because I am planning on making a noodle shop, with other things in the back. But I kinda see what your saying with the banners and trashcans. Unfortunately, I don’t really see where the banners can move, without them feeling cluttered, but the trashcans I will most likely move.

There are also public benches between the banners (they are hard to see in the photos) but I had that whole area act as a alleyway kinda.

Once you get your town hall, getting 3 star is relatively easy. Put furniture all over your island and make sure you have plenty of trees

It all depends on how you have your villager's houses placed and how many villager houses you have on your island. I feel that a 5 x 5 yard is the average one (if you have all 10 villager houses)

What I usually do is to not worry at all about inclines and bridges, I mostly leave em for last when I'm designing my island. It is quite difficult and takes some time to plan out the correct space you will use for every area, but what's more important is to keep yourself organized and calm, have fun w it !

I feel that many users just stress themselves out when it comes to island designing. Perhaps they saw someone else's island and just got a bit jealous about it. Sometimes it can reach extreme situations in which the user it's all torn up mentally because they want to seek for perfection, when it's always alright with anything you create, it'll be unique and will stand out from others

That is why I like to remind em to take deep breaths and take everything step by step, it's a game after all ! They're supposed to have fun with it

I suggest to also look for pictures on pinterest, twitter, google, anywhere ! You don't have to specifically search "acnh build ideas" (you still can do so, it's still helpful ! ) but you could also search simple illustrations about the theme, style or even color scheme you're seeking for !

On that view it does look pretty ! You could try adding something on the entrance (where your avatar was standing, around it) if you want to emphasize it more ! But overall looks wonderful, great job !

Yes ! An arch could be pretty, you could also add some lamp or lightning overall such as a paper lantern, mush lamp, blossom viewing lamp, nova light, hyacinth lamp ect ect.

It all depends on the theme you're seeking for !

This idea is only if you have the required seasonal DIYs, but you could make a pretty entrance with the frozen arch, frozen pillar, frozen sculpture, streetlamps, illuminated tree, garden bench and perhaps a small campfire with cushions around it. Make sure to also decorate with pine trees if you're seeking for that winter vibe ! If you're looking to also use fencing in the entrance I recommend the iron-and-stone fence ! Don't forget the power of customized paths. I'm sure it'll make a wonderful entrance. If you need help with the arrangement dm me ! I'll be more than happy to help ^^

You could do something like a valley/canyon, like a nature park or orchard. Maybe a sculpture garden. I have a small park on my island for planting and growing my money trees!
You could also do a waterfal park, maybe a spa/hot spring area.

@summer bear hi ! I have some suggestions for your issue ! On the top right section you could make a cafe section since the museum and library is below it. If you still have space, you can connect the cafe with a little seasonal area where your villagers can hangout and take pictures !

on the left side, where the beach is, you could make an outdoor dinner or a bar (it can be either tropical, tiki or mermaid themed !)

finally, for the center area you could either make a stargazing spot or a graveyard since I noticed it's near a rock garden !
