If you're running out of space u could just do 2 of every tree. You don't need that many to begin with and you can still do a decent design with it.

Honestly this is the first animal crossing game where I'd say time traveling is 95% beneficial.

Thats great! One thing you gotta know with that tool is that you cant really do diagonal paths as nicely in-game as you can on the tool

do u have a theme and i do not recommend restarting u should probably work on small amounts of things each day that's what i do the first few weeks i cleaned my island up and removed trees and then i got my villagers and started decorating this is just me personally

Just put down temporary pathing in the shape pf your house and decorate around ot a bit. See how that looks. Then push everything to the right or left

I change the outside of my house the most too though to be honest, I try to keep it up to date with the seasons. Right now for example, I have a whole laod of the mush furnitute in my yard and I love it, but I try to dot seasonal items around the island too so that my yard itself doesn't look TOO different to the rest of the island. The reason Raymond is a spy is his one eye is a different colour because of the camera. Rover is plotting to revive Tortimer and take over the islands

@amber juniper my rs is in the same spot as yours but even closer and I basically hid it with cliffs and made a path that winds round it to give the illusion that it's further away than it is. Maybe you could play around with that. It would use up an incline but you could put the fountain area on a cliff and arrange it exactly the same and have the black path you're using wind around it somehow and obviously you can decorate anything that looks a bit off so theres no weird gaps

@gray junco personally I would avoid having so many straight lines and kind of just go random with how rivers and paths look. It makes it look more natural if that's the vibe you're going for. Pick areas that you want your main buildings to go like the villagers houses, shops and museum, decide if you want them on cliffs and then just focus on those areas one at a time until youre happy and then move on to the next.
I've not started decorating my island properly yet until I've got all the foundation down first so then I know what I'm working with.

You got purple and blue on one side, and white and red on the other. I'd go with only 2 colos or 3 with white and add some buches or hedges. Once you decides for a color, you can go with the same color lights, be it star clocks and nova lights, table lamps, floor lamps or whatever you choose
