Y’all my island is covered in 95 percent of flowers due to a lot of time traveling with rainy days. Now I’m decorating my island and stuff I want to get rid of a lot of them but also keep a lot of the colors. What’s the best way to go about this? I was thinking maybe a 10x10 or 12x12 area to put a lot of flowers in rows and then once I get all my flowers I want I can trash the rest?

@onyx trout I think customizing the panels to have different food displays would look good. For instance in my bakery I used bread shelves. And if you want to give it a fully closed off feel I would say add the simple panels but it looks good as is!

Medium fancy, I'd say haha. Tiki torches might look really good, and I tried the light up palm but it takes too much space/I'd have to kind of set it out of the way. Once I grow up my palm trees in the aria, I'll see if I can tuck one away next to the real ones.

The lighted palms can be a good background element. So if there's space behind your stalls and slightly to the right to feel the emptiness behind your right stall

An alternative setting would be using a den desk facing the sea and "bar stools" (not sure which DIY fits it off the top of my head) with some DIY coconut juice. Gives that semi fancy feel and you're looking out towards the gorgeous sea
Might need to get a little creative if the den desk doesnt fit in that space though

Rainbow garden - did post this a couple days back for an example, but would like some feedback now - should I raise the garden up one level and put waterfalls down the side of a raised platform cliff, instead of having the waterfalls come in towards the flowers?
I just feel like currently the garden is too far away - it's a little 'blurry' when you look at it from this vantage point (which is where I want it to be viewed from)

@latent totem Add height! you're lacking some tall items in this area. Try to put some plants, like recommended, or lamp posts, and group things in odd numbers as that tends to look good. You can also add small things like stools etc with decor items on top of them

@mild panther It looks cute so far! Why not continue with the same sort of theme? It seems you have multiple cliffs and waterways, and also looks like you're spreading out the village. Why not just put villager houses all over the island and then find little nooks to make cozy areas for?

@woven drift The best way to place custom paths is to try to not make it a straight line unless its for that purpose, If you going for natural theme try to bend the path and make parts where you think people would walk on them more worn, also try to add parts where the path may have worn away too much where stuff like flowers or weeds pop out

@spare scarab there’s also 3 types of weed in any given sub-season for the first 2 stage of growth so if what you’re after is those earlier stage looks, keep replanting it until you get the one you want

@true totem I like it, so I would recommend adding stuff instead of completely remodeling. I would add maybe some plants somehow, and maybe custom designs that look like speakers. You could also add custom designs on the ground so it looks like the instruments are on stage. Not to be offensive, but I think all of the fencing is a bit much, maybe only have it around the chairs, or only around the stage. Not both.

@golden nest Feel like it's lacking height more than anything , the colours look good. I'd suggest grouping decor as well, including flowers, tall houseplants etc in the spaces where you have two squares or more width, and putting the same pathing winding across the spiral that indicates the 'jumps' you can take to get across

@plucky inlet it's part of the customisation option, for the log benches (and some funiture that has cushions). If you talk to Mable every day until she's good friends with you she'll give you furniture patterns each day, and you can also use custom designs to customise the furniture

@true totem I think it's a cool area actually, if you're up to keeping it maybe try some different pathing for the 'stage' vs the 'audience' area. Remove the fences, as they cramp the space slightly, and add things like studio lighting and houseplants to the corners to add height , and keep it a rectangle path rather than T-shape.

@lofty oracle I've seen people mostly using the following furniture: servers, large LCD TVs, diner neon sign, streetlamps, electrical pole. Then lots of simple panel customisation with skyscraper windows etc 🙂

@red folio yeah it's been happening a lot for me since the new updates. I found that if you make that area back into the 1x1 square without the shaved edge, you're able to plant the flower and then you can shave that edge off again

@red folio unfortunately then if you still want the flower, you'd just have to extend the bottom cliff a little bit so you can extend an extra area on the cliff you want to place the flower on, then terraform it back
