@worn jay Really if you dont feel content about it and you let it be, later on you would probs tear it down anyways. Just build something you do like, it would take time and effort but it would be really worth it! Most islands arent build in a few days so dont stress and take it easy nit by bit^^

I actually wrapped a lot of items in wrapping paper and held a grab bag sale. So I would let people buy bags like 1 NMT for 1 bag. Or even 5 bags for 3 NMT. Easy way to get rid of all things. Flooring, rugs, wallpaper, DIYs, materials, bells, I got rid of SO much lol also nookazon is good to get rid of a bunch of extra items!

@frozen plinth I’m not sure what theme you’re going for on your island but to fill in extra space I did a lavender field, a spiral pond, a jumping pond, and a picnic spot. I also gave each of my villagers their own personal yards to fit their hobbies to help me go in a general direction!

@chrome wharf i would change the sand into another pattern, maybe like terracotta or stone. you seem to have more of a beach theme going on, so i'd say even with terracotta, remove the tiki torch and the golden walls and try to make a row of coconut trees with flowers.

@deep sail I think you can keep the community area or turn it into a carnival. I think a community fair area would be cute! To make it more community like maybe add tables and chairs such as the log table or even the table with the cloth (I think that’s the name lol) and add a barbecue or two to make it a small cookout. I would even add another springy ride on in a different variation. An elephant slide!

Now it's still in progress but I'll give you a quick run down on what i did. Diana is now moving in to my island since i got her amiibo card. Annalise is moving out to take her place. The museum is being located to the white boxed area as displayed on the map. I kinda figured out some of the paths for the Sci-fi area so that's a good start. I'm thinking of adding wind turbines and solar panels in a barbed wired box area but i am not sure if it fits that theme well. What do yous think?

what are some ideas for what to put in a forest? the whole right side of my island is a forest thats almost completely empty

@long stream i have this bamboo forest area in the back of my island and i just filled the ground with flowers. i think filling the spaces up between the trees will make the forest feel more crowded and overgrown, so weeds, flowers, piles of leaves, log stakes, garden rocks, etc would fit very well! you can also make the greenery more dense by adding potted plants like cacao plants, fan palms, monstera, etc.

@plucky ginkgo No one else beside you can make your island. We can give you inspo, tips and some may visit to help you out but at the end you need to build and create it yourself. Start somewhere, build something and from then on we can discuss again. Its no use giving ideas the whole time when you arent even building anything. Use pinterest for pictures browse a bit, use island tours on youtube or even dream addresses!

@rich summit I can get pictures in a minute, but I tucked my museum into a cliffside and in front of a river. There's a small-ish entrance with paving and a little garden in the middle. The bridge to the area comes off from the left--i think having something a little less grand than lots of other ppl's museum settings helps well with the nature theme
