@night rock I have my villagers kind of all over my map, but some people plan them out by placing a 4x4 dirt path and decorating around it to see if they would like the house there! You can always check out @storm bluff ‘s island to see what she did! It’s a super cute layout and you can get a better understanding how she gave her villagers room since imo it’s easier to understand in a personal visit/dream rather than just looking at a map

@plain stream most people use cliffs and trees and sometimes a diagonal bridge to deviate visitors and make the RS look farther. If you use the top right search bar and type in “in:island-layouts has: image: entrance” you might find some really good inspo!

not really, that actually seems like a pretty tricky area to fill up, maybe relocate the fountain area so instead of that long horizontal space you can get some verticality in there

Well, they can’t really do a lot to your island. Except for helping create a map on that website for layout ideas, planting flowers and helping move trees around. The building(s) moving around, @woven drift you’ll have to do on youre own by talking to nook and terraforming as well

@high fulcrum that’s the hardest part. Just be sure to do one section at a time! Put all of your effort into one spot until you like how it looks and then continue from there

i’ve also found that finding a general idea of placement for buildings and then terraforming around them helped me. you can section off areas using cliffs and rivers to keep your island from being too flat, while also keeping it somewhat organized !

Terraforming and adding things as you progress can help your island feel like it's huge! I'm not very good at giving advice but I suggest having ideas fit with your given theme. (If you are doing a multiple themed section :>)

But this is what I'll do! To change to a different theme, you'll go over a bridge to the next themed area. What I should do too is have one theme area have one shop, one will have Redds ship, one will have the tailors, one will have a museum and one will have Nooks Cranny. But I will say the fifth area is the RS

@gloomy atlas it's pretty good right now, but maybe make it more complex. Add some tree borders, you could maybe have that cafe-ish area spread down a level to the beach to make it more dynamic
