@junior burrow shake all your trees. You should get 5 beehives all together and 5 wasps. Hold your net as you shake a tree to catch wasps instantly without getting stung. You can sell them then and also the furniture that falls out. There's also ten trees that give you 100 bells so that's an extra 1000 bells lol. Selling your assessed fossils gives you decent bells also. It will help for the time being if you it daily. Around 50k extra bells a day

@karmic escarp depends on the vibe you're going for but mushroom items (like mush lamp, mush log, etc) can be good. Celeste items also have a very magical vibe - nova lights, star clocks, crescent moon chairs. Gnomes and/or dollys could also work

@lethal flame If it bothers you, I think it's worth mixing up the elevation on the front half. You could even try doing cliffs that are purely decorative and have no incline. 🙂

@woven drift If you want your villagers to have larger yards, the only solution is to move them further apart. There's a guide in the pins with different yard sizes, so maybe have a look at that and decide which size is right for you.

Fences do take up a lot of room. If you're doing the houses more scattered around the map with a more natural feel, it's possible to do without fences. I've also seen people use the same fencing for every villager and then only have 1 layer of fence between houses as a divider, if that helps at all

Hello! I'm in need of advice 🥺
So I finished my entrance, and I'm pretty happy with it. (it just needs some flowers and a second statue).
I was planning on putting two small bridges where the exits of the entrance would be, but Im not sure how Im planning to put my river. So far I have one behind the plaza. I also kinda dislike how close the last mountain is to the plaza. I had a few options in my head:
° remove the waterfall and make the plaza bigger by adding a custom brick there
° leave it as it is, but then I'm not sure what to put next to it (or if I should leave it for now)
° leave it as it is + make the plaza kind of seem like a little island (make a river around it and add the bridges as described before)?

Can anyone help me here? Because I'm kind of lost 😅

also (personally) i like less open areas, so closer to RS id suggest also putting furniture/trees lining the sides of the cliffs to make it less open

@dusk cove I love the bridge behind resident services I think you're going in the right direction, just keep building outwards, adding cliffs and rivers as you go. "Cottagecore" maps tend to have many tiny rivers and are multilevel throughout the map from what I've seen

I've redone my island twice now. Third time is the charm I'm loving how I've done it now. My other attempts were for too structured looking. It didn't look natural just blocky. This time it's very flowy and looks more cottagecore which is what I was trying to do the other times but it just didn't work lol
