yea, i think it leaves more room from the airport to it to make the path more natural but the other side is a bit tight. based on the second picture there is a bit of a curve up to RS. (I understand, mine is close too)

I'm not sure which path to use. The first one I have brick under, and the second one I have sand under. I thought th sand would bring out the color more, but if I want to use sand ill have to erase all the brick and replace it with sand which would take forever.

@proven kayak lots of people with close RS use cliffs to either completely or partially block the view of the RS and use it to guide visitors along a path to a side entrance. Many use diagonal bridges along with cliffs as well :) (pic not mine, but here you can see the two elements I'm talking about with a RS that is fairly close)

@woven drift imo, I'd center the two fountains a bit more and then perhaps have two benches facing each other on either sides of the path to the RS and line the rest of the empty space in the green area with bushes and assortment of flowers :)

@upper egret you can try by searching up real life examples and go from there~ in game furniture that would go great with the area would be simple panels customized as skyscrapers/buildings put in the distance (horizon), throwback containers as trains or you can assemble a train using your imagination with items such as gardon wagons, and the bridge can be a land bridge using cliffs and fencing (or a real one). Heres a compilation of examples that may help you get started:

@torn geode preferably neither. Paths are garbage combined with diagonal bridges. Unless you have a custom design in mind that makes it look decent, or you could just do a circle path at either point of the bridge

ahh right, then I'd say it depends on your usual pathways. I always go with a chunkier diagonal because I like to keep my paths even and wide, but if you're going with thinner natural paths then the first option could work @torn geode

@woven drift Its a good idea to go to some other dream islands and look around. its pretty easy and free and you can search in that chat based on theme pretty easily.

@woven drift oh that I support. It does take a lot of bells but even I moved all my villagers and buildings to the beach and just changed my island and planned out buildings by marking the spaces needed with dirt

@woven drift just keep trying things and you can take ideas and make them your own. a lot of people do that.

@woven drift well the closest to it is you can pay someone to give you a map design. You can pay for one through nookazon. But you could always look at others islands or even check out 5 star island tours through YouTube and see what you might like. Theme wise or combine themes. I started watching YouTube videos and was super jealous so I redid my island a bunch of times. But it’s okay to take inspo from others!!

I definitely think constantly building everything up and redoing it is the best way to get it all together. If you have more experience with terraforming and decorating, it becomes much easier to put something together after you think of it. There isn't anything wrong with taking inspo from another island, because after a while you come up with ways to change it and to better incorporate it into your island.

@earnest tiger i try to take pictures during the day like during sunrise or sunset because its quite pretty. but if youre looking for something at night, then a lot of the illuminated items are good, street lights, floor lights. etc. basically anything that glows
