@small pulsar really depending on how big you're letting his yard be~ 1) large: you can give him something like a fish market or sushi restaurant with that color scheme, for example the pic below (not mine), or 2) smaller: a few scattered bamboo trees (2-3?), natural square garden table with the matching chair, and perhaps a blue flower placed on top of the table would be enough. If you want it a little more Asian inspired, you can put the kotatsu with zen cushions (both are blue as their default, can be customized) :)

To get rid of the gap you'll have to use a transparent design for one of those and overlay it on top of the natural pathing in the game

@split stratus I think it looks good so far. You could curve the paths on the ground. You could also display some clothes outside by placing them and maybe add a table or two with some chairs for seating! And maybe a street lamp or two for some light!

@manic eagle one idea for a stone henge area is a rainforest pathway. It is as it is in its name: a forked pathway surrounded by rainforest, what you could do it where the pathway cuts into two or three or however many you could place the stone henge as a centre piece? Sorry if it’s vague😅

@rugged nymph I actually didn’t do a neighborhood. I gave my villagers their own space and areas. So for instance: merengue has a bakery, Ankha has her little area dedicated to her, Zucker has a little restaurant, etc.
For neighborhood yards I’ve seen most people give them a little seating area, a bookshelf or two and some cushions, something related to their villager’s personality/color

Trying to redo my entrance with a cliff going to the right, but the perspective for the shops gets the cliff in the way. Anyone know how far back it should be, or have any other ideas?? I've considered moving shops to the right of the plaza.

@woven drift a possible idea is to make the cliff longer (I’m not sure how much longer) add decoration and move the shops onto the cliff so maybe if you wrap the cliff around the entrance to the island and put the shops either side, eg. Ables on the right and Nooks on the left, otherwise I’m not sure how else to help I’m sorry🤔

Idk who needs to see this, but if you’ve completed the fossil part of the museum and you’re sick of fossils spawning, you can bury 6 unassessed fossils behind a cliff. that’ll hide them and stop them from turning up in random spots

I did the cliff first, but I feel like since that's there, the area behind the concert is either really cluttered or really empty...but if i tear the cliff down, i can rethink, it and make the concert area more minimal with a bridge or something instead of this crazy forest...idk haha this is a struggle

@woven drift I don’t think there’s a good way to go about making a river. I think to make it more natural is to give it curves and dont keep it completely straight. Give it some narrow areas and some wider ones, etc

@native mesa I usually use the wiki to find out what the villager likes! Biskit is a lazy + playful villager so I usually give playful villagers areas to run around in and lazy villagers areas they can relax in such as picnic areas + cute seating areas.

@spice raft make sure there’s a space after “image:”. There should be presets you can just hit to get what you’re looking for. So first hit “in” —> “island layouts” —> “has” —> “image” then type in “: Ables” make sure it has the colon and the space then whatever you’re looking for
