@eternal laurel Honestly that depends on your island vibe. I think wooden fencing or stone fencing would work. I personally don't use iron fencing because I want a more natural look. So stone fencing would be good

@nova quest if you use custom design pathing, incorporate the pathing into the area to blend it with your island theme. if you don't use custom pathing, try incorporating flowers in the same color scheme as other areas you like

Ya! So if you look at the map. You’ll see that background. People would use elevation since different grass heights makes different shades to draw pictures on their map

@restive kraken ahh okay! well if you want it to be a different shade of green, you'll need to use elevation. otherwise any in-game path will show up on your map in brown (: I would maybe try to upload the image into the happy island designer so that you can trace it onto the map in the size you want, and then you'll have a blueprint to reference as you're terraforming

@somber garden don't worry too much with outdoor design cus at this point you miss terraforming and a lot of DIYs + items. dump all of your storage items into a designated garbage area and craft cheap things like log planks etc. you can always remove them all once you get 3*. make sure you have some flowers planted or go to #flower-plants-trade for some free flowers. keep asking isabelle what's missing and she'll tell you

@simple scarab depending on the theme youre going for, you could make it a little tea or picnic spot, or a little reading spot with a table and a chair and some bushes, ive seen some cool designs where people put tiles in the middle of a pond to plant a tree or some flowers or show off a cute piece of furniture and i always think that looks really nice too

@pearl dawn when in doubt i add flowers/bushes/trees or paths, i also love how fountains look at the entrance, you could play around with paths and make hearts on the ground too. some of my favorite entrances have waterfalls (front facing looks great) and trees. front facing waterfalls would divide the space between your entrance and plaza really well if youre going for a look like that

@carmine depot i find that everything looks way better and less bulky once decorations like flowers or weeds are added! hedge fences are cool too - imo the cliff texture is what makes things sometimes look bland so if you can cover that up a little it can help
