My town hall is uneven; you can work with asymmetry, entrance can still be symmetrical as long as there's at least a little room between the airport and town hall

I have terrain around my town hall except for the entrance so it can still be symmetrical even though the town hall is off center

(cont) ...Just break it into smaller parts so you can say okay, here's my entrance, here's my museum area, here's my shop/shops, neighborhood, etc. That way you're not overwhelmed with trying to think of how to do everything at once. Try to make each area a little different so your town doesn't look bland and homogenous too

i reset my island a few days ago, and honestly, i don't regret it. i learned a lot from my old island and what i did with it, so resetting it allowed me to fix my mistakes and re-make what i wanted but better. i love my island now.

@slate patio i reset my island a few weeks ago, and although i like what i have now, and was confident with my choice at the time, I personally regret restarting now. i’m still going to play and i have fun with my new current island, but despite my frustrations with my last island, i miss my old island just bc it meant a lot to me and the sudden urge to restart simply came from burnout from getting discouraged and moving stuff around all at once and trying to wrack my brain for more ideas of what i wanted to do, but what i really needed to do was take a step back and not stress myself so much, and going into my current island with that mindset has been a huge help, but i also wish i would’ve stuck with what I had and let things happen/come to me when they came , and just enjoy the game, but this is just my experience, if you think resetting would make u happier, then go with ur gut

I've also used cliffs and water to frame areas for flowers/bushes/trees (my island is a natural/forest theme)

If it gets to you then remove it, but if it's a lot i suggest just terraforming over it and only removing it when its necessary since when you put a cliff over it or put some water there the path will disappear anyway

You most likely feel like it'll feel small because the simple more nature-y look of the map on the drawing make it look a bit small. But once you get into it, it'll feel a lot more spacious In sure. And the inconvenient pathing will def help too

Honestly can never have too many plans. I felt the same way when I started designing my island. Drawing it on the map makes it feel so much smaller and it wasn't until I was running around doing things that I realized it's way bigger than I was imagining lol

I’m using procreate! It costs money tho.. I use it since I already have it for drawing but any drawing app would honestly work (:there’s also happy island designer but I find it a little complicated but that’s just me!
