@fair trail Then it wouldn't really be your island, it'd be someone else's design on your island. Try looking up some inspiration and starting on one corner of your island. Think of something you like or a theme, your island doesn't need to be perfect nor does it need to be the best. Try putting some effort into it before you go asking for a complete island makeover;;

@lyric cave its 2 holes horizontally and 2 holes vertically between every mannequin all across the island. It's much easier than cluttering everything in weeds, fences or pathways. And easy to clean up but just changing the custom design.

I've no real problems with people asking for help. But you're asking someone to design your whole island for a what is seemingly large amount of bells, but isn't actually worth the effort.

1. Even your winner gets paid only 100 bells per square on the map
2. All you losers get MUCH less than this.

Also, The way you're proposing this is called speculative design and is a big taboo in the graphic design community.

People will happily help you in here for free, get stuck in and give it a go. And if you're struggling with something, reach out for help in here. Hope we can get you to the island you're looking for.

@rare mountain my map layout w a semi finished neighborhood. I don’t like it tho bc it’s too neighborhood-y and I want a more forest natural vibe lol and I also placed it too forward so I have this awkward amount of cliff space behind it

@outer forge I got most of my stuff from balloons and shaking trees every day. I spent 2 days flattening my whole island as I unlocked terraforming and grabbed every balloon I could hear in my vicinity. I also grab stuff from mine and my fiance's nooks every day just to catalog it. I really suggest doing the turnip stuff to make some quick cash or plant a lot of fruit trees of foreign fruit. After flattening my island I spent 2 weeks just messing about with shapes and stuff which again lead to me grabbing a lot of balloons with furniture. If you play handheld I suggest using headphones as you can hear balloons very easily even when not in your direct vicinity

@blazing timber this is how you wanna arrange them. Always 2 holes inbetween them. They will block the 8 tiles around them the same way a tree does. Then you want to place them just right so the rocks can spawn in desired location. Start in one corner of the map and work across it. Stone paths will prevent rocks from spawning so you can mark out the area you want the rocks to spawn in with stone paths and leaving the tile you want the rock to spawn on either blank or with a dirt path for example.

@finite venture helps if u map out how big the house will be, then you can build around it without having to put the home down. If you'd like their yard area to look a certain way, make a list of items beforehand that might fit what you're wanting. etcetc

Helloo... would anyone like to give this area some input to fix it? The items in the picture are basically the ones I’d like to sort out but I don’t have a clear idea of how to execute it? Like I’d seen the LACMA lights concept and i think it pretty cool for a layout, I’d also like to display bred flowers around the area (I barely have any rn cuz I’m still breeding). I guess I’m trying to organise it better but I can’t see how... it’s meant to be a park adjacent to a residential area on a second level so giving it more elevation would not be ideal... idk... we had our first snow of the year earlier today so this winter season looks like it’ll bring new diys to keep in mind

@soft trout i feel like maybe the whole look isn't coming together because the LACMA look is very clean and modern - but the ground pattern you used is a more worn rustic kind of vibe. maybe explore using bushes and hedges for a more manicured garden feel, and try out alternative paths with more even sides? i've found path borders are a great help in making the symmetry of a setup like this stand out very well

@unique pond oh yessss you’re absolutely right.... that’s why I couldn’t put my finger in why it didn’t feel right. I’ve also seen the waterscaping design is not ideal and I’d like to scrap that as well.... try to re arrange the lampposts in a cleaner way... it all just feels disorganised because I just dropped everything in there sort of rushed and promised to come back to it to fix it... but every time I look at it I just want to put it on hold because it’s too crowded to see clear haha. I need some help with my town centre. I like my entrance, the bar, and the little chess area. I am not very happy with the fountain, the placement of Able's and Nook's Cranny. I wanted to create a market with an ice cream stand, a little bakery, etc using stalls and simple panels with custom designs, but I'm having a hard time with placement.

I'd love some pictures of what you've done with your town centre, if you have one!
