So I decided to change up the upper lake structure. I got some major inspiration from @broken coraliscrossing on twitter and her speckled moon lake. I love that you can still have a big lake, but access all of it so you don't miss fish spawns. Any thoughts on how I can improve it? I'm not really sure about how far apart I can put the jumping platforms, can you jump 1 or 2 spaces?

I think it depends more on your core aesthetic, if your going for something modern its best to go symetetrical or acheive a the feel of symetericallity through balance; while more nature themed island are less prone to fall into symmeticallity

These two houses took me ages to figure out, I wanted the composition to be symmetrical, but not obviously so. The framing emphasises the similarity but making sure the houses were very different colours offered enough contrast to make it feel pleasantly natural. I added the flowers to the front of the frame to add a bit more variety between the two sides, and then used the white and red flowers to echo the colours of the doors.
