Honestly I think it depends on your style. and either way can make an island feel bigger. More symmetrical islands have spacious evened out areas. natural islands use cliffs to create paths that run all around the island. all depends on you!

Little tip if you guys want to try it though its a pain to get a bunch. Bookshelves can be placed flush against each other and look great as thick panel walls instead of using cliffs.

*** Helps guys cx Trying to decide some kind of basket type of design to go with, on my fairy/ gypsy/ mossy magical themed island. (This is the idea itsg oing with) and have a little flower stall that quotes Lez zeppelin "can I make your Garden grow? " ❤️ With a side that says Free Seeds/ plant me! and seeds up on the stall, and maybe an adjoining stall that sells seasonal shrubs/ hedges and flowers/ a crafted flower item! ~ maybe with a sign that says "tips for take home s 🌷 " and I want to put some kind of tip, hat, basket etx that is most fitting deigned on the floor to drop an item into!!!

@woven drift if you truely feel that you ruined your island, I would try moving all houses and shops to a small area on the island and terraforming what you don't like. Just continue changing things up. It doesn't have to be amazing right away. (I speak from personal experience)

@woven drift well, if you want to completely change it then flatten everything and remove the rivers (so you can see what space you’re working with) then start with the neighbourhood. Maybe planning it on paper will help. You can obviously leave the parts you’re happy with like the museum.

@marsh pewter I almost went that way but since I had the stone statues I went the other way last minute. Also be careful calculating the space for the diagonal bridges, it can get really tricky so try not to lie anything down before you know everything fits! 200k down the drain from moving the museum so much lmao
