if you use mushroom tiles and weeds and flowers to sprinkle around it turns into a comfy back-woods forest to run through

@woven drift im sure people will be a lot happier to help you if you ask concrete questions. Doing a full design takes time and effort and it’s the point of the game. People are busy with their own islands and don’t have time to do 100% of the work for you. If you need a starting point I’d suggest you watch some island tours and come up with a clear idea of what kind of island you want to create.

@woven drift plant flowers! Other than that, I’d just play the game organically until you unlock terraforming. Furniture you craft can be repurposed, so if you love some of the diys you have, start there too

Some tips for being cute before terraforming: customize your DIYs instead of using the default colors, place custom designs on the ground for makeshift paths, use whatever items you have to create little sitting areas and stuff because it’ll give you a good basis when you eventually replace furniture with new matching stuff when you build up your catalogs

Depends on the look you’re going for. I personally woulda scatter them since the rest is very put-together, but that’s because the super duper put-together aesthetic isn’t my thing. I would keep it coherent with the rest of the island - does everything look very Dubai-level purposefully placed and (over) produced? Keep it structured then. Do you prefer a more lived in style with deliberate spots of clutter - scatter them a bit

Hi, I wasn't sure who would be the best person to go to, but I think there's a general consensus regarding the different types of bodies of water that is incorrect. Most people agree that any body of water not connected to the sea or a waterfall is a pond, but that's not true. It seems to be that if the body of water is oblong, it'll still register as a river even if it's not connected to the sea. It must be self-contained and about as long as it is wide in order to be a pond
