I was legitimately surprised when I first found out we couldn’t use the decorating mode that we use indoors for outdoor decorating

I also have no idea what to put in between my residential area and the plaza/shopping district

My shops are on the bottom left side of my island (and other stuff like my carnival is on the bottom) while my residential area is on the top right side so there’s this huge awkward space in between lol

@weak spoke A couple of days ago I got a sudden burst of motivation to change my whole island but then I calculated how much it’s gonna cost and... even after I got the bells I lost a lot of motivation. I’m no expert but I would say that it depends on the style you want, if you want a more city type island then you should plan most things before starting to terraform and if you want a more foresty type of island then just go with the flow and start doing stuff!

if you lay a standard path and then apply your custom pattern on top of it, it'll reflect on the map
