I like them, it's a classic holdover from pre-turnip days, and tending it is pleasant for me... early on I had nearly 300 trees I think... I had to cut down at least 60 before I had less than 220. and when the cherry blossom event happened my money tree area was the only pink on my island. XD

starting my island redesign, i want the upper level to be a garden/sanctuary surrounding the museum but am open to changing to shape of it. i want an area for all the villagers houses, a large area for mine and my husbands houses close to the beach front, a small orchid and an area for a park. does anyone have any suggestions for the layout?

@tawny glacier start out with one area! plan what u want in it (try a theme!) and then lay out areas where u want shops/houses. honestly u dont have to plan that much if u make sure u can access everything! look for inspo pics they r very helpful!

I couldnt add more bridges, so i decided I could add more water by adding in lakes and stuff 😄
@subtle whale I would just start with a theme and going from there. I worked more with symmetry and the concept of a water city to get my creativity going. Once you start some major structures, the rest you can wing from there and tweak it until it looks like what you wanted

so i found a really cool detail trick idk if anyones done it but i used picked cosmos as detailing for my beach and the good part is they dont grow back on sand so theyll stay like that forever .. no clue if it hurts your town score but im pretty sure it doesnt because they count as flowers!

The difference is that if u spread em out so far, it would be a hassle to run to each and every one of their houses to talk to them. If u put em close but some space then ur good
