That’s exactly what I did and now I’m paying for it 😭. I made everything square and regret it so much. Now I’m trying to move my entire island to the beach so I could terraform it into looking natural again, and that is going to be haard
What should I do for these areas of my island? My vibe is sort of a Japanese/zen vibe.
i desperetly need storage so im saving up to upgrade my house but i also desperately need that money to move everything so i can just rework the entire island's layout
It beautiful omg, thank U for sharing 🥹🫂❤️
I did a little area for used books, I will build a little library also, but first I have to do my nook shop area :>
Ofc!
I’m doing a European theme, does anyone have any ideas on what to do with town hall? It’s right next to my train station
I've Finally begun to design my island. I aim to connect the two rivers I have with water soon. The only permanent landmark/building I've got is Stitches home/island which is on the small island by themselves. I'm looking for some inspiration for a natural/bee themed island that's quite natural seeming. Would appreciate anyone who has an idea, suggestion, inspiration or just kind words : )
Right now I'm clearing the top left for 2 homes and a farming district
Fauna and temporarily Clucky will live there
Currently my island looks like this: (I still need to get rid of the pathways and put the rest of the buildings onto the beach!!)
Im trying to go for kinda soft cottage/warm farm-core theme with a lot of water inlet and boat docks :)
I planned on having 3x3 house layouts with exactly those villagers and Coco is gonna be my neighbour next to my house :p
I thought about putting our houses all on the highest story of terraforming possible (idk if its 3rd or 4th layer), below that all the stores and shops (Idk if to put the houses or stores higher) and at the first story with the airport and stuff the rest of the island. If I have one story left, possibly I would add some Vegetable beds or smth idk
Idk how to plan any of this, and I'm not good at making layouts for terraforming - if anyone has any suggestions, ideas or would like to help me, react to this message or dm me and I'll check it out asap! :D
working on my lake view
im having so much trouble finding a brick path i actually like
I’m designing this weird bean-shaped island tomorrow. Think im gonna try a fishing-theme maybe? Will update
Came out way more random than i intended to make it but the design ultimately came out pretty nostalgic for me. I’m calling it Azuki or Red-bean island
I think i’ll add a sign that declares the island’s name!
Some progress on my kidcore island 🧸
I'm finally happy with the rivers on my island, just need to add a few ponds now. Are there any rules for "pond fish" to spawn?
The xows are hilriously adorable
From my valentines maze island 🥰
Love Maze 💗 DA-3012-9173-7909
Can someone who’s really good at designing come visit my island and I can hear your recommendations as I tour you around? Here’s some pics, even tho it’s not in season😢
Cute idea.💝
so i wanna start working on a coastal-ish island, any tips for terraforming (once i get it lol) and furniture?
Is there a way to stop flowers from growing around trees? The flowers just keep spreading on my island. And if what shakes loose from the trees land on the flowers, it just disappears.
You can make a transparent custom design and lay that around trees. Flowers can't spawn on custom designs
Thank you
Started with something new…🍄
So cute!!
Do you guys know where I should put my museum and clothes shop, nooks cranny and campsite
I want it to be cool like on a cliff and having cool ways to get up
Hi! Whats the name of the rug under the bed???
first island entrance! 🥹
That's the Turkey Day rug! You get it from Franklin on Turkey Day if you bring him requested ingredients.
That Pooh plush is super cute! 🥰
Food truck by my live music stage.
This is how the entrance to my my new Island is coming together. What do we think? I’m going for a rural japanese fishermen’s village type of thing 🌿
@sturdy island
chat could anybody help me out with like planning the layout for my island
Struggling quite a bit since ive never been the planner type, but i do want it to flow somewhat nicely? Its supposed to be patd afycso themed but im blanking on overall ideas so might scrap it
Hoping this is the right place to ask
I adore the pathing you used! Do you have the code for it?
Any ideas for a spot filler? ❤️
thoughts on my fountain pond?
Should I move my entrance over by two squares to match with the RS, or does it look fine where it is.
Honestly it looks fine to me, I betcha you can get away with it without spending a lot of bells on RS by readjusting the pathway/road a bit or just keeping it the same and hiding it with trees or something.
I don't need to move anything that'll cost money. It only looks weird on the map. Ground level it looks fine.
(Oh! I I'm so sorry-) definitely move it, I think it would be worth it in the end. Also you did a amazing job :)
Then it won't line up with the entrance now that I think about it. I tried hard to get one that lined up, but after two days I was going crazy. 😂
Oh dang-
that is so dumb!😭
Will pay someone 3mil to dig out all my flowers. (You can keep id you want) and help me create a fruit tree farm.
That’s such a good island keep going!!

I love the lights.D
What should I put up here? Except from my flower storage
Cornyvill Karaoke work in progress
I finished the recent Archon quest in Genshin
Iykyk
But im really proud of this tribute
I have a similar build on my curent Island with two levels behind the house so that i can put trees around, that are visible when you stand in front of the house. It creates a nice cozy atmosphere like a frame.
And you can combine it with a large object like windmill, lighthouse or even one or two beanstalks on one or both sides depending on your island theme.
Thank you for responding!! The Pooh is from my 2000s childhood lol
Making a little outdoor theatre!! I’m not sure what else to add though ☹️ ideas are appreciated!’
Maybe a fishing shop where you pay to access the fishing area with lots of fishing rods and a market for bait / pond vegetation!
Any island designs to get me to 3-star
Hello
Any idea what to put here?
Park
ooh maybe a nice sea-themed diner
working on some terraforming and I’m uber happy with this waterfall situation! feat. my girl Ketchup
Outdoor library, the only part of my island which I am truly proud of and happy how it came together. 🩷
I invited Quaquaval to perform Feather Dance to Valentia

Sobbing. That is beautiful. Way better than I'll ever make
Anyone got any ideas on how to make "hidden" areas around the island? You cant exactly cover the tops of spaces
You can use castle walls to hide the holes.
I hide Ozzie in a hole with cliffs around his whole house and then use jail bars to surround the top of it, so I imagine you can do the same concept with non-see-through walls
Making a small foresty area for Fauna's home. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to this area?
some pics from my xmas-themed slumber island 🎄
@zinc atlas I feel like maybe they would work for a carnival area? I adore the festival balloons so much, I use them by my house, but now I want to try and use all the other items I got today! Lol
Yess!!! They fit that theme so well tbh
The balloons and the little lamps are my fav
Thats what I ended up doing with most of my stuff
OH WOW FIRST OF ALL THE VILLAGERS FOLLOWING YOU AS YOU FILM IS SUCH A COOL EFFECT! Second of all, the dance floors with the lights are so cool, it gives me an idea to use them behind other items to use the lights… I love your layout 🥹❤️
These are the only two photos i took today 😅
It definitely added a lot more life to the event, they'll dance on the light stages too
I love pavé so much
🥹 I also love pave, he’s the best
I’m trying to do a grungey citycore island at the bottom half… but what do I do about my rivers? Left side I’m gonna do a marketplace around the rivers but I’m stumped on what to do for the right side.
Could make one like a big drain channel with roads on either side, sidewalks, whatever style youre going for
That idea
Finishing up my Valentine’s Day picnic area! My brother proposed to his gf on Valentine’s Day
they bought me my copy of the game, so I’ve added some stuff to this to make it more personalized to them. ☺️ I drew their initials in the sand and figured out how to upload real pics of them (not shown) into NookLink. I added a trail of cherry blossoms up the beach leading to the picnic. Making a few adjustments before they visit! Those two love nerdy romance 😂 their friends made them a wedding in their favorite dinosaur game and my brother cried, so I’m pretty sure he’s going to cry at this lol
I’ve added more bouquets and plants. I also have a butterfly model I could add. What else do you think would add to this?
Maybe the picnic basket item?
I haven’t unlocked cooking yet but that would be cute decor
Sorry to spam chat, but does anyone have wedding items that they’d recommend? I can ask for them in catalogue chat. Maybe fireworks and sparklers?
I am once again asking for suggestions for an awkward space lol
Any ideas or should I just fill it with plants and wheat fields?😭
I need more whimsyyyyy
I low-key need help I'm making a cottage core island and so far only the plaza nook shop my house has paths trees bushes etc and items I need to decorate my whole island! Can someone gimmie suggestions on what items to use
I have a few picnic type areas on my island if this is helpful at all!
Omg the third one!! I’m obsessed 🤩
They’re all so good
The best way ive figured this out for me at least is to Google inspo photos and find each individual item name in an area:)
So for example if youre trying to do your storefront, look up inspo, and search what the items are, or similar ones
It helps you figure out what items even exist
I’m also working on a doctors office, smoothie shop, and post office, but I’m missing simple panels
Thank u😭 its still a work in progress!!
Tysm!
Oh also for specific item recommendations; id recommend the wedding candle set:) its the little set of the 3 pink candles in the 3rd photo!
Yay!! Thank you ☺️ I’ll post that in catalogue chat
I can grab you some if you give me a lil bit!
Idk if you time travel, but the whole wedding event in June is actually amazing, I recommend like all the items from that set, I used to have a wedding venue area on my island, with a piano on the beach and everything
I didn’t even think about time traveling! Do you think I could get fireworks if I jump to August?
I have the candles if you want em!! 🙂
Sweet! I’m logging in.
Do you want to visit my island or have me visit yours?
Whichever is easier! I can come to yours, up to you!
today’s island progress
Omg that graveyard looks so PEAAK! Also ur player char looks so cuteee
I dont even know
Heya! I'm new here but I'd like to start sharing some of my island areas
Here my market street!
https://x.com/i/status/2016974284980207634
I don’t see why not! I hope it works!
Devotedburrito visited my island and gave me these adorable picnic items 🥹🥰
I’m obsessed with the sushi bento! Going to add a cherry blossom pattern to the pillows later
I’ve been looking into this and I think I can only customize the fireworks if it’s in August for Isabelle’s event
do you know if that’s the case? I could always just time travel to a Sunday in August before my visitors arrive
Hiyaa, im looking for farm ideas. Anyone can help me decide? its gonna be on the back corner. so its near the stoney part n also the sand part of the sea
Has anyone done a splatoon themed section on their island? I’m in need of some inspo!! 👾👾👾
YESSSS they’re going to love this! I used nooklink for better video quality lol
If you watch closely you might see some custom firework designs
I genuinely don’t know, I don’t time travel, but I presume if you are on the date that the event would happen the game would allow you to do what you’d be able to do on that date
Thank you! I think you’re absolutely right ☺️ I figured out a solution and tested this by jumping to August to customize the firework show! I added their faces, a cherry blossom pattern, and the heart pattern with their initials. Devotedburrito’s gifts really leveled it up and it’s super cute now 😁
The bride to be is not a fan of time traveling in the game but I hope she’ll be fine with my exception just this once 😂
I know you seem to have everything covered but there’s wedding themed items you get from an event in June that takes place on Harv’s island btw!
Thank you!! I really appreciate any tips ☺️ I’m pretty new to this game. Do you have any favorite wedding items in particular?
(I’m also assuming that they will want to take photos so I picked out some cute outfits that look like something they’d wear IRL and wrapped them along with some chocolate hearts)
The nuptial bell and wedding arch items look good in any wedding themed build! I could send a screenshot of the entire wedding series if you want a look at all the options!
It includes wedding outfits too!
I wish I had a moment to log on I’d give you some of my wedding items 😭❤️ I love what you are doing for her
Awesome 😁
That’s so sweet of you ☺️ I’m away from the game for now too lol. I hope the couple likes it 😂 I think they’ll get to see it on Thursday or Friday.
Devotedburrito gave me some cherry blossom piles, a professional camera, and a wedding arch that I arranged around the photos of the couple ☺️ also added a pink heart bouquet and a butterfly model. From there, a trail of petals leads up the beach to the picnic area/ firework lookout. If I time it right, they can take pics at the photo spot as the sun goes down and catch the fireworks right after
That’s ADORABLE!!!
Im going for a medieval village theme where all my villagers will have specific "jobs" lightly based on species or personality. For Blaire I want to make her an alchemist/town healer, anyone know which items I should try? I'm not decorating the interiors of homes yet so it's just for outdoor but I'm having trouble finding references online of what I'm going for outdoors.
I put together their outfits and food items, wrapped them, and left a trail to the spot ☺️
Does anyone have some whimsical or cute island gap filler ideas? No citycore, or normcore
my first build!! i kept seeing alot of libraries built and i wanted to make my own
cute!
I made a little beehive area with yellow hyacinths and wasp nests near my orchard 🐝 maybe you could make a little honey stand! I’ll probably add that later when I unlock simple panels lol
Does anyone know how to get the song K.K. Lovers? Looking for a romantic song to play by the photos of my brother and his fiancé
Oo ty!
Here are all the wedding themed item you can get from the wedding season event + seasonal nook shopping
Oooh there’s outfits too?? Where do I access this to buy?
Check ur msgs!
I don’t see any DMs 😅 do you mean somewhere else?
All the way through June, you can get the Nuptial items from the seasonal section of the nook shopping app, the rest is unlocked via an event involving Reese and Cyrus on Harvey’s island
Huh i did dm you, check ur request?
I’m sure if you asked around, someone would let you buy some off them. Or borrow it. I wouldn’t mind renting out my items
since i have a really good island layout imo before i get terraforming (i restarted my island) i was wondering if people could help me design my island because i have no ideas
💔💔 going for a cutecore pink 🧁🍥🐾 theme if that makes any sense and can be as intricate and interesting as you like🙏🙏 i’d be very grateful if anyone used this picture and added an area/idea 💔💕💕
My island is barren besides these areas lol but I hope by the entrance the theme comes across ... I'm looking for compact filler ideas to go in the empty spots in the last 2 photos. They're on either side of RS and in front a 3 tiered HOA gated community for my villagers lol. I was thinking maybe a pool and sports field? But hoping for any other ideas
thanks for any helps!
my fountain :D
Best build I’ve ever done is my rainbow garden I think
Bit late but I have a very similar theam, I have a plant shop, wedding area a market and I turned my museum into a school
Welp I’m stealing this idea lol
I LOVE IT 🤩
This is beautiful
Speaking of small area design ideas, I saw on Instagram someone made a cute little pig pen with the piggy bank items, and I’m doing that now 😂 I just ordered the stuff I need to get started with it
Here’s an expansion on that idea from Pinterest 😂 (can’t make these yet bc I don’t have the items, but I’ll get there eventually!)
Rock garden + archaeology dig site + camp
Oh I love this, I’m reworking so many little spaces on my island and honestly for a decent part of my island I have farming/farm stuff, so I’m excited! Thank you!
Np! Mine is mostly farming and forestcore too ☺️ hope you enjoy
Just realized I can almost make the third pic! After the AC engagement party, my next project will probably be a ramen bar by the opposite beach
Ooooh so pretty
what do you think of this Island Idea i want to make my island having 4 different themes around it. ... Does that sound doable?
Kai gave me some more items
I’m censoring the faces in main chat but there’s a long trail of gifts (picnic foods, cider glasses, fancy outfits, money, confetti poppers, etc) leading up to the paintings and a wedding welcome sign.
Need to go villager hunting next 😁 gotta ask them “will you come to my cottage this summer?” 😂
I love this main entrance I’ve built, but have just kinda thrown together items to make this back area. Looking for feedback or suggestions for alternatives? (Note: I don’t want to make a fake building or tall items because they’ll hide the stadium lights).
ICE CREAM SHOP!
was feeling inspired to make my island western gothic/horror themed
Its a vibe 😎
DA pls once done 🙏
:0 the train 🤩✨️✨️
I feel like if it is on the second level and surrounded by rivers, it'll look nice😎🌊
with pleasure! DA-6312-6364-6976
I tried to replicate the original Zelda artwork for the 40th anniversary, but I’m not sure if it’s recognizable enough :/
This is super cute!
My map looks so crazy especially after replacing the paths with custom designs lol. But i think especially once the snow melts itll look way better (3rd image is what i used)
Any ideas for this view? I feel like it could be more grand but not sure how. Maybe get rid of the island?
Maybe put it on higher ground?
not a bad idea- ty!
How do yall create such amazing layouts? I have no idea what im doing
Anyone got any ideas on how I should decorate my house area?
tbh i looked at maps online that ppl made and combined elements i liked into mine! though I also often change things as i go. Pintrest is my best friend for it lol. I try and plan around things i want on my island like a cafe area or farm
It helps to get humbled, whether by criticism from other players or the sight of a design that impresses you. From there, you'll start to pay closer attention to detail and find room for improvement where you may not have seen it before. A little scrutiny can go a long way.
What about a blacktop or something for your bike and scooter?
That’s a good idea I’m not sure I wanna keep the scooter and bike there I kinda wanted to make a cute garden area but wouldn’t know where to start haha
Finished all of my midterm exams for the week and now I’m crossbreeding flower colors until I get this setup
I'm currently designing the front of my house and I'm doing something like this. Does anyone have any clue of what this fence is?
i think it's the medium wooden partition, turned backwards https://nookipedia.com/wiki/Item:Medium_wooden_partition_(New_Horizons)
The medium wooden partition is a customizable houseware furniture item in Animal Crossing: New Horizons introduced in the 2.0 Free Update. It is part of the Wooden Series. The item's top surface can be used to place smaller items, such as miscellaneous furniture.
The medium wooden partition can be obtained from crafting, which requires 20× woo...
jk, i zoomed in and i think it's just a simple panel with a horizontal slat design code
A midwest Seven Eleven
i was going to build a seven eleven on my island! can i use this as inspiration?
Any other items people would recommend for a cottagecore/forestcore island?
It's a simple panel!
since i have a really good island layout imo i now hsve terraforming (i restarted my island) i was wondering if people could help me design my island because i have no ideas
💔💔 going for a cutecore pink 🧁🍥🐾 theme if that makes any sense and can be as intricate and interesting as you like🙏🙏 i’d be very grateful if anyone used this picture and added an area/idea 💔💕💕
this picture was when i first got the island so ignore how it looks really new
Sea food restaurant
You can just put stuff there?
Yess it took me so long to realize it aha
my best attempt at a maple leaf shaped lake 😪😪😪 whatever
Maybe don't do it diagonally.
unfortunately i have no space otherwise ☹️☹️ it's alright i guess. the intent is there lolol
Smaller and not diagonal?
maybe!! i'll try working on it more tomorrow :D thank you for the suggestion
If it makes you feel any better, I saw the picture before I read your message and recognized it as a maple leaf !
!!! it totally does!! thank you
Thanks
Well thats awesome
What is this item? Ignore the crossed out things
Edit: is this in the wrong channel?
Finally starting my city island!! :D I’m gonna replace the cherry trees with peaches but it’s a placeholder for now and this part isn’t done just felt like sharing cause it’s cute
Is it a simple panel with customization on top?
The thing that the items are on is attached, so it isn’t a simple panel
Wait
It is a simple panel, but the item I’m looking for does have a platform attached to it
I see it used a lot when people make those fake buildings
Oh I see, I will see what I can find via nookizon or nookpedia or something.
I was looking for this sorry lol 😓
It’s a wood-plank table! You can get it from nooks cranny or the paradise planning office if you have the dlc :)
Oh wait sorry were you talking about behind it
I think I found it, I was looking for the kerokeropi hallway, thinking there was a non kerokeropi themed one
Ahh thats a fun item!
Made a little space themed photo area for the tourists to get themselves some souvenirs from Corvus. Marshal is in charge of it and he takes his job very seriously.
This is the happiest I've been about an area in a while, it turned out so good!
I thought this was cute
Yesss go ahead
thank you!! i won't copy it dont worry
my island entrance!
Took some inspiration from a video I saw! I love the fountains in this game, so I used that as a centerpiece for the museum with two trees on each side of the museum!
So 👀 I did a thing, I’m kinda obsessed
does anybody creative have any ideas on how i could implement splatoon into my island? i’ve been making a splatoon themed island and so far i have a few things but i cannot think of anything else to add, i recently made a pond (ill add a picture) to my island but i have a few blocks of space left to the side and i have no idea what to put next to it.. please DM me to give me some creative ideas
Anyone know how I can decorate my island head to toe cottage core style
You need LOTS of trees and very plain beige stuff
Hello ! I'm finally after all those years planning on not letting my island absolutely chaotic. I made a plan with Dream island and I started moving the villagers. I was thinking that using a 6×6 square was great for a good garden for my villagers. But right now I think it's really... Small...
Also... With this idea, there will be a lot of empty spaces... And I don't know how to fill them...
If anyone has any ideas :( I'm open for any suggestions
i'm pondering where i'll put some vines. i might also change the waterfall and 'double' it
Would love some layout suggestions for my island! I have some general ideas that I’d like from my island:
-
villager homes and my home on the same level above the rest of the island to create a suburb
-
Keep the heart lake since it was naturally created when choosing the island. Possibly put campsite there? But would not want to create a big cliff for it since it might stand alone and that feels awkward lol
-
Ideally shops together. Would be open to museum and town hall having its own space.
Hi there! I have no idea what to do with this area. This is on a slumber island and the theme is elegantcore. Any ideas for what I can put here? Please ping me so that I can see your message!
Uhh... maybe... benches and statues and bushes around a fountain with lots of ribbons?
Hmm.. like a park? I guess I could do that! Thank you!
This little area I made!
Little coffee stand beside my Seven Eleven
I have absolutely no idea what im doing with terraforming
I’d say to anyone who isn’t sure what to do, don’t put too much pressure on it, try something maybe some waterfalls, a plaza for nook’s cranny, and if you end up feeling like it could be better, do it again later 🙂
does anybody know how i could decorate around this? i have a couple blocks of space beside each side and i have zero idea how to decorate this, anything would help!!
How do i fix this? 😫 i put the bridge down first, should i have done that after the path? 😕
I’m looking for some help finding floor designs for a spa themed area
Specifically a pattern like an in-ground pool
This is a rough idea of what I want my new garden area/cemetary to look like, in addition with a church to build around it. I had practice with this build through Slumber Island to see how it would look before making one in my real island.
I threw in some Christmas stuff since I figured, why not? It's the last few days before all the snow will melt.
I updated my Seven Eleven bc it didn’t match the urban country theme I had going on this side
For context my island is split into two themes, urban country and coastal beach town
This is amazing!
So I did a thing and totally wiped my island for a redesign. First time doing town core. Working on the neighborhood and countryside this week. DA-0955-7879-6641
heyy, what path didja use for the court?
here’s my island layout if it was flattened, i’m going for a cutecore, soft, pink candy, theme whether it’s like a cottagecore but in the style of a magical cutecore, candy themes or whatever, i js need help planning it out go as wild as you want!! i have chrissy merengue, francine, merry, pinky (and a few others but im looking to swap them out soon) as my main fav villagers if that helps inspiration!!
PROVIDING my online doesn’t run out cause i only got it for a month, (when it runs out and i have enough money i will get it again, so either way i will give you a load of bells and a bunch of nook mile tickets) in exchange!! thank u guys
idk if this is the right channel, direct me to the correct if it’s not ^^
Thank you!
I think I got you covered, give me some time and I'll share the blueprint
thank you!!!
My island is slowly coming together. (I know my museum is off but I couldn't do anything about it)
ok, so. It's probably not the result you were expecting, but I really wanted to give it a try...
I messed up the proportions a bit, unfortunately. But if you like it, I can finish the drawing and show you the bottom part as well, then shift everything upwards
How do I decide on an island theme?
Personally, I like to center my theme around a specific event. Take Bunny Day, for example, which is just a few weeks away. I usually brainstorm a crossover with other franchises and reimagine it within the ACNH world
wait no thats so cute i defo wanna do smt based on that some part of my island tysm!!! let me get my switch on and get the bells and nmt
don't worry at all. I did it out of fun, I don't need anything 😄
omg tysm ur so sweeetttt
couldn't resist the urge to finish it, so here it is
You can't put them on those half blocks like that.
Things are a bit odd but this part is the most beautiful part in my opinion ( btw someone could visit my island js to show me ideas bc I do 1 area a day and it would help me do this much faster)
this is so cute aaaaaa

could someone help me connect the river with my little irrigation system for my crops? preferably with a cute waterfall layout somewhere
u can also use the space down below if your heart desires
Hello all, just wanting some outside perspective on this. I've been starting to design my island and I'm wondering if I change my river to look more like the pic on the right (with the paint edit incase its the wrong way) so that I can get a more usable chunk of land to do stuff with, or if you think I should leave it as is. Happy to hear everyone's takes
Unfortunately you can’t. I know, it bothers us too. Idk why they won’t let us fix those…
pokémon day can't come soon enough
Can someone help me make Gigi’s little yard better? I don’t have much room to work with I tried to do a little like performance stage w a toy audience and a little dressing area at the back cuz she gives me opera/ ballet/ performer vibes but I don’t like how Iv done her yard so far, any item suggestions would be really appreciated!!
can someone help me design my island map, im at a stump on what to do
i have a lot to pay
oh this is adorable!!!!!!!!! WHATT
Hi! Any ideas on how to rearrange my neighborhood? I’m kinda stuck
It depends if you still want the neighborhood vibe where they are all sticking together
Does anyone have any path recommendations for the Able Sisters? Trying to make my island a mix of nature and a small Japanese town.
Any suggestions for what this little area should be I’m making a staircase to a restaurant
i recently saw this cute idea where you use the pergola item in a sunken space~ just an idea though! not sure if it's something you'd like
There’s a few different statues that might work well there. If you made it a bit bigger you could put your host stand there. Something like a covered counter/stall maybe?
Outdoors dining area - table and chairs :) there’s a cute table with an umbrella that I think will look great!
I don’t think u can put paths on terraformed corners! Has to be a full square
Found who was responsible for Saturday’s 3:33 AM broadcast
Any suggestions of what to put in this area?
I’m working on a neighborhood area but I’m worried it’s going to end up looking rigid after I place down the houses u.u
Does anybody have advice for this
A sitting spot with bench and decoration around or a decorated statue or other elegant item.
A stargazing spot(?)
More of those messy, rocky tiles.
maybe if you have room, move the back one to the left a bit so they're not in a direct straight line and also add items and things around the houses that relate to the villager whose house it is
I think having the houses in different positions will help it not look as rigid and perfectly placed if thats not what you're wanting to go for
maybe not moving the plot itself but where the house is going to be to the left

I'm still using the cross-stitch technique my aunt taught me, lol. If you want to give it a go, you can check out websites like Stitch Fiddle, FlossCross, or pixel-beads 🙂
I'd like to use six colors rather than five, but the light green variant from the highest cliff levels forces all adjacent tiles to be green. This is a major constraint for pixel art, as most designs require these two shades to be positioned side-by-side
Here’s the in-game look. It’s pretty close to the sketch, I just have to organize the major services a bit and go wild with flowers and furniture. Feel free to drop any suggestions for the island! I'll post the DA on the 27th
I love that someone asked about this, haha! Absolutely: each one of them is a Pokémon that Red uses in battle across the different games
Lily is Venusaur, Angus is Charizard, Pluck is Blastoise and so on
I love Pokemon and this idea is the coolest thing I’ve seen in a while !!!! U did so good!

Honestly, little water fall/pond would look nice there if it fits the theme but I recommend just filling it in so you have more room above to put stuff.
Would be crazy for all guys in your villager linup and then there's Lily.
Anyways, this looks splendid!
Oh god, that is a bit unsettling actually, it didn't even cross my mind 😅. It's just that I went with the best fit for Venusaur first, but for the rest, I was factoring in that Red’s entire team is male
My airport and resident services are close together. Any ideas for entrance designs? I like waterfalls but wouldn't know where to put them on the left side without blocking off the front of RS
i think a big spacious road/path way would be nice, mixed with seating and trees, flowers and bushes
something like this maybe?

🌲🍃 Forest Island Help Needed – Will Pay Bells! 🍃🌲
Hi!! I’m working on a forest/nature-themed island in Animal Crossing and I’m kinda stuck 😭
I need help with:
• Terraforming ideas
• Making my layout feel natural and not random
• Filling empty spaces
• Path placement
• Making it look more cohesive
If you’re good at designing forest/cottagecore islands and want to help me plan it out, I’ll pay in Bells 💰✨
DM me if you’re interested and I’ll send my map + pics of what I have so far!
For now I added the bamboo lunchbox, a blanket, and a chocolate heart. Will add more later if you have any ideas!
Wow! I’ve never used the stargazing mechanic before to get started fragments ☺️ there’s so so many!
Bloomfield is starting
to come together 😊
Does anyone have any ideas what I can do for my entrance? My resident service building is pretty much only a few steps away
Appreciate the help!
You're welcome
Love this, thank you!
Thank you!! I'll try it!
Anyone have some ideas on how to decorate this furniture wise? I know people use panels and stands and such to make buildings and windows but ive never really tried before
Gonna be moving the trees too so those wont really be part of it. Going fkr cottage core so itll be spruce trees everywhere
I love a little sewing area and displaying in game clothing by the ables for cottagecore style
They really couldn't give us some bigger islands instead of making them smaller for 3.0, could they?
My rose garden completed (in case you guys want to know i separated mutated from non mutated roses, but I could not fit non mutated red roses anymore soo I will just decorate my island later with them)
I just have one mutated pink rose lol
Does anyone have any recommendations for a Cephalobot yard? I don’t have much space and a lot of the typical items used for him take up a lot of room so I’d rather avoid that, but any advice is appreciated!!!
How about a little pizza shop similar to this? Since Cephalobot's favorite saying is "take me to your pizza"
That’s so cute thank uuuuu!!!
I need yalls opinion. Where should I put Abel sisters and Nooks Cranny. I want to make a pathway down from Jolly Redds beach so I don’t want them obstructing it
Does my island look like a huge mess lol
I need ideas for a school I’m building
I'd definitely bring back the Rustboro Trainer School. I'm so attached to that place, learned more there than in real life
Idk even know what that is- I’m looking for more Kidcore ones
Hello all! Need of help here, wanting to do a city-like theme but haven't found any good references/inspos! I appreciate any advice : )
Are any of these a bit more up your alley?
What can i do to make it better?
The bamboo stuff doesn't stand out much because it's pretty much the same color as the grass. Maybe put a different surface beneath it?
any suggestions i made this 4 years ago jus came back to acnh now
... You are a bit limited here by how the flowers and bamboo tree can't go on anything besides grass (not to my knowledge, anyway)...
I'd at least put like a rug or something under the benches and lanterns, and maybe add something to separate the stone path from the grass? Something about the stone-on-grass isn't doing it for me. I also think a torii might be a better fit for an entryway than a stone arch.
tori?
thanks ill make some changes tommorow
I think you should try lining the stone path with a gold custom design or something.
tbh rest of my islands shite too no idea what i was thinkin in 2021
Probably something along the lines of: "I'll just dump schist I like in the general vicinity of my house.".
Built half a roost before 2.0 🥀
Ignore the horrendous road/parking lot situation we do NOT talk about it
Does anybody have any ideas for items to put in this area? I’m going for city core and my main colours right now are pink, teal, white and black 🙂
What do you think about the items in this picture? I think some of them could look really good in your area
Thank you so much that actually looks fire 🥹

New little beach camping spot on my island
need a bit of assistance for my entrance! not sure what to put for these empty spaces here D:
Looking for more ideas for the faux residential houses on slumber island please. Or other buildings that are not citycore
Shrubs maybe?
working on my island
been doing this for a month and not even done yet
Is that deck made of custom designs?
yep! the code is ma-8683-2518-6524
Does anyone have any custom designs for an infinity pool?
You should try posting in #custom-design-help🎨 ! They're really good at finding designs there
Thank you!
Does anyone know if its worth it to buy the fountain and outdoor bath DIYs for 3000 nook miles each? I really want to decorate my island with them but idk if its worth the miles...
I have, I think they are, but thats personal preference tbh
Made a little outdoor second hand market (not finished yet! :>)
can someone please help me with my island??? i have everything where i want it to be but it’s flat and empty because im stuck on what to do…i have no idea what im gonna do to fill the large empty space and some help would be appreciated
this is my island
Oooh! That looks pretty so far.
thank you so much!!!
Hm..
i’m going for a dreamy moon/space vibe that has an ethereal aesthetic
Oooh.
yesss yess
i’m just…stuck on the terraforming in those large, blank areas
no clue what to do or add
You could add some custom designs on there or make a build.
Possibly a build for like stargazing
there’s so many beautiful builds i could do i guess im more stuck on how to connect it all
If you want inspos, you can check out pinterest too
i have a whole board 🥹
Hm.. try to go for something that you think would fit.
When designing a island is it a good idea to pick a theme and stick with it?
You could have different themes in different areas.
Went on a slumber island and made a mockup of the kinda theme and colors I wanna go for. Just imagine more trees in the background. What kinda style would this be? Like woodsey withpops of color
Does anyone have a city core entrance with road/sidewalk/homes? Can I visit or can you share pictures? Or can you share with me how many tiles you use for the road and sidewalk?

Finally seeing my new builds I did in winter with a bit more colour yippie!
You could do 2 neighborhoods based off the villagers and make half the island color coded and as u get more towards the center have the colors mix more, and then have some usual island buildings farms playground etc as like cover etc
OMG I’m so excited for no snow 🥹🥹🥹
Does anyone have "The Path"? The one that looks like old school ACNH paths?
I found one but it seems super transparent...
i'm waiting for greener grass 😭 the greige right now just isn't doing it for me
Guys i kinda feel stuck with the theme i should pick ;-; i wanna make like village but idk how
Odds are, you'll eventually come across a cool structure that speaks to you, and then you can base the theme around that and find more neat stuff that goes with it.
i still struggles to placing trees and some of terraformings
Yeah, it's tough. You going for cleanliness or realistic imperfection?
The theme for my island is farmcore/cottagecore and it’s named Barnyard. I have some ideas of zones, but finding a place for all of the buildings and connecting everything so it feels cohesive is pretty difficult. If anyone has any ideas/suggestions, I’m all ears. I’m wanting a produce farm, farmers market near one of the beaches (in progress/in the photo), a fruit tree orchard, a u-pick flower field, plus everyone’s houses to have little yards like a village. This is what I have for the entryway so far and hopefully you can see my map. Thank you!!!
thank you so much! this helps a lot
Which of these looks better for a more woodsey type area?
Tbh I like the mushroom/little logs? Dirt path
Oh my! The cd store is such a good idea! I might steal it 👀 not a 1 on 1 copy, just the general idea. My dumbass bought double songs lol
i like realistic
like the theme is a bit crowded
Hi, does someone know how I could rearrange this spot? 🥹
It turned out... So dry.
Path between a bridge and the shop. I'm open to terraform it, I just dunno how
Does anyone have some advice for creating a heisei retro themed island? I've created the bare bones of my island and have villagers that I like and fit the vibe, but am struggling to fill my island with things.
There's a lot that goes into that natural, messy sort of look. Just look at some of the areas people are posting in here, along with some scenery outside.
I would round out the water tile below the well and maybe see about adding some trees to the other layer depending on what you wanna put down and mix in a few taller items for some visual interest
The snow has finally melted and I can show some of my favorite spots on my island ✨ still a WIP but closer than ever to being done !
I love mini-builds so much! 🤩
lets build and share yours
Hello . I need your opinion . I have too much wood trees . What can I do with that ? I try to make a beautiful island
Thanks, Ill try!
Look at some of the stuff other people are doing with trees.
beyond gorgeous im OBSESSED!
some pics just before the snow melted some days ago
Made a treehouse on my cottagecore slumber island :D
This is such a clever idea!
i need help decorating i suck
Tysm! <3
Im really bad at decorating on the island i think that looks nice and then I dont and really bad at making paths too
i'm just waiting for inspiration to strike me again to decorate my island again
i have a good chunk decorated how i like it
woah are you planning on decorating the island too or is it more just the map
yeah, sadly I only managed to fill the design with flowers and a couple of items, so the rest of the island is pretty empty. That said, I’d be thrilled to hear any advice on what you’d like to see there when I share the DA
Can I not build right up against the edge ? If I can why isn’t it letting me ?
Woops forgot to add a caption. This is my island. It said it lacks appealing scenery. Idk what else to add. My space is kind of limited. I have some room on the beach, behind the tailors, and on the highest cliff
there has to be a 1 tile space between the edges of all sides of cliffs before u can build higher
Ahh thank you!! 🙏🏼
Trying to come up with a new entrance for my home...This is just Slumber Island, so this is an "idea" of what I'm going for.
Thats so awesome! Love the custom sign and the satellite too
Looking for some design tips for my island. So far my island has heaps of trees and flowers but is very plain. I'm going for a heisei retro/whimsy twee kind of vibe. Any advice for the entrance, gap fillers etc?
Try using more log stakes.
I agree with above! More log stakes! More clutter in general also helps
Yeehaw
Does anyone have any suggestions for decoration at the corners of my town square? I have two rows of flowers running along the front/back/sides, but four spaces free on each corner and it looks a bit bare
... Still really early on to the game so don't have anything too exciting to put there
Treeeeees
A tree or a shrub or two when you have them
Cool. If I was planting trees in a four spot space, which hole would you recommend planting it in? Top left or right? Or bottom left or right?
Maybe castle towers
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I think I'm going to wait to get some blue flowers to put four on each corner 👌🏻
Just recently re decorated like half of my island lol anyone want to come look around and maybe get inspiration for your own island! Dm me
hii could i ask how this looks for a layout, ive been playing around on the island mapper on google and idk if i like it or not, im struggling for ideas for my town
Looks like exploring it would be a lot of fun.
is there anything you think i should change? like is it bad that the houses are up the back?
I don't think so.
I guess it could be if they clash with the designs, but going off the map, it seems totally fine.
one problem that you might have running into is that you can only have a max of 10 inclines on your island and i think i count 17
i did not know that omg
okay uhhhh i need to try fixing that
yeah….. can only have 10 bridges and 10 inclines
i could probably add ladders at some bits i think
but i do agree with yo’ster and it does look like it’d be fun to explore
do you have a theme in mind for your island?
like i’m still quite new to acnh and it’s my first time planning how i want it to look
like cottagecore/forest/whimsical i think
So I was originally gonna do kinda cottage core ish island but then FESTIVALE happened and I did so much decorating with the festivale stuff and I love that area but I still wanna have a cottage core ish area. Is that just a bad idea? I know a lot of people say to do one theme but I can't decide on just one lol
Both of those are pictures from my island 😂
Thanks for the suggestions! I've tried having clutter but it looks bad most of the time, do you have any tips?
I’m not the best at explaining things sorry. I usually do clutter by making ‘micro’ or filler builds. A tiny little seating area or something like that.
There are a lot of YouTube videos to help with island decorating ideas
That's fair! I've added a couple of little fillers but I'll be sure to add more. Thanks so much 💫
Started my entrance to my forest core island. 🌲. I wish Hamphery would leave😤
only been 4 days on this island but loving it already
Maybe split the island in half and have it be like a festivale world next to a cottagecore world. Like neighboring countries with differing cultures that might mingle a bit.
yesss and then you can have different villagers that match the vibe
Consider how detailed realistic environments are. Using custom designs for things like little rocks and leaves all over the ground is a good way to replicate that natural imperfection. Dropping stuff like mushrooms and lost items in the corners also helps.
I have this really awkward little place between my market and farm that I have no idea what to do with. Does anyone have any ideas, YouTube videos/inspiration photos for this area? Thanks!x
What about a big dirt road with carts and old-timey fencing?
I'm kinda having trouble with this spot here, any ideas.
Maybe make it a coffee spot? Or a place to read
I would definitely fill it with many flowers
Picnic?
Hey guys, I've been struggling to get my island looking nice, If anyone would like to help me out, It would be really appreciated!
sorry the quality is bad but what do u guys suggest i do with the entrance of my island? i wanna keep the swirl or the swirl in some sort of way
My little bakery
oooh wait should i build like a cliff and a water fall around the outside of it leading into it?
This is my current design for my shop alley. I like the left part and the fish stand but I'm not fan/sure about the fruit/food one section. If anyone has Japanese theme market stand I would love to see your design to get some better ideas!
I actually love that idea
Go for it.
You guys see my problem right it's off-center how do I position it or build it the right ways with not noticeable? The incline and house? Any ideas 🤔💡
Tried making a veggie/fruit market
And a fish market
What are the custom designs you used for these? I’d love to have these (especially the barrels) on my island they’re so cute
Marshall's little hideout
if any citycore folks need servers i have too damn many of them
like, a surplus. theyee great for using to make a skyline or for buildings
dm me if needed they take forever to collect
any ideas of what i can put in this area in front of my nooks cranny? I already have a little seating area with a vending machine but the space in front looks so empty..maybe paths??
you could add a little path leading up to nooks cranny, and maybe add like a little shopping bag, boxes, a shopping cart, and more of that kind? btw the seating area looks cute! ☺️
ooh good ideas thank you!!
I'm building a 7eleven for my island that has a lot of natural features. Should I used the wood or brick panelling?
brick would look the most like a typical 7 11 i feel like but I personally LOVEEE the wood
I don't think there's a way to move that kind of stuff by half a block like you'd want.
Not a complete island show-off yet, but I thought I had to share this picture of my waterfalls during an aurora borealis. Almost forgot that I still had this screenshot
Hi! New here. Does any offer services to design someone’s island? Tyia!
Im torn between these 3 villager yards. Which ones look better?? (I'll add furniture to it later-)
Does anyone have an idea on a design for an entrance? I’m at a loss with my town hall being so close :( Open to any and all suggestions!
I did just a simple castle arch way. You can replace rhe mushroom lights with anything and place stuff on top of the pillars, so there's lots of options to choose from
Number 3 look the best in my opinion.
Shooting stars in front of my statue garden 🌠
Hey guys, I've been playing for a couple of years and have never been able to get my island to look the way I want, If anyone wants to help you can dm me! Thank you to anyone who wants to help
(Ignore the open holes, im about to fill those in with bushes) but my heart waterfall is basically complete 🙂
Anyone one who wants to help me out can dm me!
this swirl is peak i’m in love 🥰
Bloomfield progress 💜
let’s all collectively ignore my aggressive time travelling 😅
How did you get the mushroom and star items? I love how it looks on your island!
i can bring you some tomorrow!
they are from shooting stars and fall DIYs
I took a break playing the game during the fall season. What time tomorrow works for you? I work a closing shift so I won’t be on in the evening
2 weeks in im lowkey invested ❤️
Very nice terraforming there!
I like number 3!
Nobody's gonna know....time to fix it
I'm turning my island into Ditto, who is in turn taking form of a human... is this copyinception?
Wow
very proud of this little area I made between Merengue's house, up until the campsite to the north
Check out my entrance
A little farmers market
I'm more interested in that sign on the horizon...
Some ominous religious imagery bc it’s southern
huge dump of some of my fav parts of my island :> srry i'm like lurking in every photo lmao
Can someone help me possibly redo my island to feel more like inspiration pictures I found? (its like cottagecore merged with town stuff) would be greatly appreciated for my (hopefully) dream island ^^
I love it!!
My basement is complete. I went for a cluttered/ old & broken stuff/im hoarder.
Im so happy with the way it turned out
My living room

Your island looks too good! I need to drop by and visit sometime. I could use some inspiration.
thank youu
if you want, you can visit my DA here! #dream-addresses🌜 message
Noted!
So so cute!!!
Sonnnn this is hilarious lwky I js saw it
Kitchen is done 😁
I think I just fell in love with ur island
Office is done 😁
Bathroom complete!
Bedroom is done! My house is finally complete. That took FOREVER 😅💕
Okay so I need opinions on what I should put behind my cube light letters. Maybe stage lights, or floor lights, or a fence, or maybe nothing at all? I drew them letters btw 😁
Idk, I think it looks super cute tbh
I'm proud of my cat river
It's super pretty!! Maybe a log bench or a flower cart would fit well!
Yes you're right !
its so cute!! maybe just add some more flowers and possibly weeds?
I LOVE the whole dark academia, witchy vibe of your house its so nice, you did an amazing job!!
Thank you so much!
Hiya! Ive been playing the game for a while now (about a year or so) but took a loooong break so Im tryna get back into it again. I never made a fully decked out island design I felt was perfect for me. Thank you if you wanna help me out ^^ (feel free to DM me as I'll get notified that way)
That's an office?
yeah, office/den 🙂
Hi!! I just restarted my island and am planning my layout. I know I want to have a bright island with lots of flowers, maybe a bit cottage core but vibrant. can anyone share inspo or their favorite places to look for inspo??
Was just decorating the water feature around Resident Services and I just spotted Lolly sitting there being all cute
Shes my favourite villager, shes so adorable
😭
Does anyone know how to make this less ugly?
what do i add in these blank spaces please help me🥹🥹🥹🥹💔💔💔💔 i'm not good at filling spaces and this is my worst nightmarePLEAAASEEEHELP
ignore my island name too pleek its old💔 im genuinely struggling i have no idea what to do and how to fill in the space (for reference the red highlighted zones are where idk what im doing)
Start by lining your paths with log stakes/stools. Add some more spruce trees, too.
lots of trees, flowers, shrubs etc. any decoration you like. maybe some seating
theres lots of filler space ideas on pinterest, highly recommend
The hedge turning the corner? Fill the inner corner with another hedge, if you can.
Pinterest is my usual go-to for inspiration. Here are a couple of pins I found! Does this match the style you're looking for?
it does, thank you!! I love these
I have so much to learn.
It’s too close to the house unfortunately
I might need to pull that bit out a little but it’ll break my symmetry waaaa
I’ve turned a homeless pink blob into the Sheikh of Dittonga 🙂
i usually plant two bushes (actual bush plants, not like the hedge fence) on the two corner tiles - i personally think it looks a bit less bad
current wip for my entrance
I feel like smt is missing (pretend that the flowers are grown)
Maybe I should change the whole decoration again
Help! Looking for an item to go in this spot here (red mark) on my island. (You can see it is near the airport in bottom left.) If anyone has any ideas i'd gladly consider!
There used to be a red flower display here but it was so big you couldnt tell the ABD machine was there.
What about a pile of cash?
really liked building this but i just dont think its exactly what i was going for so im tearing it down. wanted to share it before i did though!
Ideas for this spot in front of my beachside ables sisters? I already have a cafe and a carnival on the island.
some sort of potted plant would look nice
Inside home ideas decorating
Okay love this idea I’ll try it! Thank you!
Stepping stones or planks leading to the deck.
does anyone have good ideas for the entrance of your island??
What theme did you have in mind?
I kinda want to go for ghibli core, my islands name is based on howls moving castle so anything nature-esque or city related would work
Which plant partition should I use, 1 or 2?
What about an incline that climbs to the top of a hill, leading to a view of the buildings and such in the distance?
Made a butterfly flower display! :D 🦋
i think im sort of limiting myself between not wanting any "neighboorhood" areas with the houses in a grid or on a street, and also wanting these big special areas based off things that are important to me, but heres my very WIP island
you dont need to do grid neighbourhoods bcs i agree they look horrible if done wrong but I recommend even just slightly bringing them together so u can make farms and orchards!!
I just (semi) flattened my island and I'm working on building a castle
This is like the coolest thing ever what the heck
Thank you!!!
Of course!!!!!
so this is a really simplifed state of my current island i have right now. a big museum section on the top left, neighborhood area on the top right, wilf life camp area on the bottom right. currently stuck on ideas to fit in the cranny and able sisters somewhere nicely and i want to have a big flower garden to showcase all the flower colors u.u any ideas 👀
Outdoor cinema 3.0
I just redid mine too!
some of my fav spots on my island
I love almost everything about this.
the area i worked on today
Bro take it easy the poor game can't take much more of this.
i love islands that look like they were designed by nintendo (if that makes sense)
thank u, kindly!! i really love simple and what some would call normcore aesthetics :,)
me too! i love simple or minimalistic themes too. i‘m struggling so hard with making my island look good like that though…
less is more !!
i feel like i have too little xD my island is an „empty mess“ i just don’t know where to locate what
i totally get that too. i didn't pick my weeds up and instead i just made paths around them, which seemed to really workout!!
my resident services ft. Maple being an absolute cutie pie 🌿:✧˚.🧸⋆𖧧
Heh. You guys match the environment perfectly.
hehe ty 🙂↕️
Photo dump of my cottagecore slumber island! Ty again to everyone who helped out, this turned out great <33
recently did coco & zucker's neighbourhood!
Slowly but surely
I changed how to get to cobbs illegal farm
hii is there anyone who could help me terraforming my island please ? im lacking ideas and im very bad at planning
this is what it looks like for now
I have a bamboo garden and want to put something in this space but don’t know what would looks good ideally another bamboo tree would have went there but it doesn’t fit
Bamboo fence?
I like to use the bamboo partitions to make bamboo forests feel more dense. You can sort of disguise the base with fencing, wheat fields, bushes, etc…
Thank you!!!
you can find many inspiration on Pinterest and its up to your taste on how you want your island to look like
its more about mapping/planning it since im pretty bad at it cant visualise what to place where i can send inspo i like but theres only a few
huh ? which one ?
I have a small cliff area on my island that doesnt have anything and i was wondering if anyone had design ideas for it?
Is it near the ocean?
Show us.
Beautiful!!
This is what it looks like. I'm open to terraforming and/or building inclines 🥰
✨
Does your island have a theme?
Are you sure it's a good idea to leave all that stuff out in the rain?
its inspo to get help but thanks i think ? wish my island looked like that
Oh.
i suppose ill be on my own for that
Not a defined one! But I do tend to go for more nature-themed decor
You want it all-natural, or like a hiking trail-type thing with a little man-made stuff, or...?
A hiking trail could work! Do you have inspo pics?
Not on me at the moment. Hold on...
No worries! If its too much work, you dont have to!
I made this little space that I'd say does the trick.
See, what you want to do to get the good, natural look is to rough it up a bit. Scatter things, avoid symmetry and patterns whenever possible, clutter is often the way to go here.
Thank you for the help! Where did you get those bonsai trees? Theyre so cool!
Nook Shopping sells them sometimes. They're pine trees.
hello, please give me advise to make this look less plain, thanks
It's still a little plain but this is what its looking like so far! Furniture recommendations are welcome 🥰 i don't have that many DIYs but I'll see if I can trade for them
I'd say maybe make it a little smaller or add some sand
It’s very cute so far! I say more trees, a bush or two, maybe some well-placed weeds to look like overgrown grass, and bigger play items like the jungle gym or the new toy car item!
I am working on a Zelda island and I have alot of areas but I ran out of ideas for this open area in front of the castle. Anyone have any suggestions?
I need to place more inclines/bridges to get 5 stars (currently at 4). Any suggestions where to put some? None of my water areas are really wide enough for bridges
maybe one by the down right river mouth? but i'd just focus on more inclines tbh
super cool map tho
The problem is the ground. All the stuff you put on top just doesn't feel substancial since the ground is still clearly just green grass. Could you maybe put down a path and/or some more plants?
Try and recreate the castle grounds from ALTTP.
More log stakes, on top of the aforementioned pine trees.
two of my most recent builds on my island (also pretty much my first ones since flattening LOL)
not helpful but your map is mindblowing to me!!! All the swirls must have taken so long it looks so cool!!!!!
i meant to add exactly that last night but fell asleep </3 but it looks SO sick, that's so- ugh words fail me but i'm very impressed by how well that looks!! would you be willing to show some shots of the swirls in the game instead of the map?
hi, i went to a DA called SeaSalt and they have the deluxe washers on another tier does anyone know how the creator did this?
Tysm!! The pathways are also swirly but it doesn't appear on the map :D
Yup! I can send a few SCs or videos later :)
Judging by how there's items even on top of the washing machines, I think they're on a higher level of land, with some sort of white wall covering the cliffside.
My fishing spot is currently the ugliest place on my island. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to make this look better? 😭
Update: looking a bit better, but could still use some work :/
Maybe a buoy to add some color and further push the nautical subject matter?
I’ll order one to try and see^^
Okay, no buoy, but I took to heart what you said about color and thought it needed some brightening up. I think this looks pretty good :D
Might try bright blue lawn chairs + add a bag of bait for that nautical feel you said.
you could also place down a fishing rod near the water
I’ll look through all the available rods and try to find one I like^^
could use an outdoor fishing rod. The green is a muted mossy green, but the red could add a good pop of color
That might match well with the rods already on the fishing rod stand too 👍
I placed an incline and am still at 4 stars (Isabella says I need more decor so I'll work on that) but here's some SCs of the island :)
these aren't even all the swirls, just my favorite ones (plus the hotel and some of my house, which was fun decorating)
Idk if it's universal but my Nooks Cranny is selling outdoorsy fishing rods today if you need one :D
Oh yeah, mine is selling a different one. Was about to go to the trade channels, but maybe I can DM you if you don’t mind?
Sure, feel free to! :)
Anyone have any suggestions on how to decorate this space? Its about 9x15 and infront of my Nooks Cranny and Able Sisters
Some progress on Étoile’s yard
Maybe you can set up a small market
Like an outdoor extension to the stores I mean
Display some random furniture and stuff that they sell in Nook's and show off some clothes in front of Able Sisters
Also maybe it's just that I like water but I think a small pond might look nice?
Some of yall are so freaking creative!! I sit and look at my island (I’m new like started January new) and I just recently flatten the island, and think wtf do I do now…. 😂😂 I’ve gotten some ideas from here and some from chatGPT 😂😂 but still I look at y’all’s decor and I’m just shocked 😮
wait i love this idea ty
I have a few of those dress model items I've been saving too
I have a shop setup that’s actually pretty similar to yours! The dimensions are roughly 12x15. Here's a screenshot of my design just in case it gives you some ideas. You can’t see it here, but I added some other items to the right of Nook’s to fill that space
woahh, super cool!
I'd definitely suggest using something like pinterest over ChatGPT
picnic area behind my resident services
please does anybody knows why my last two rocks won’t spawn here? I’ve waited 2 days and they didn’t spawn anywhere else on the island 😭😭 they’re too close to the other rocks?
the torii gate between the bamboo trees is blocking the spawn i think
finished the playground!
Hi I just joined this server I know nothing about discord and very basic stuff on animal crossing.
my recommendation is to hoard items, even if you don't think you want/need them
If you haven't already and have a Pinterest make a board and just take time to look through animal crossing stuff and pin anything that caches your eye you can find a lot of path codes clothing etc to use if you have online as well but just seeing how people use items can give you ideas
Currently doing that lol thank you for the advice
also I definitely recommend nookazon for trading
I do have Pinterest. But when I search for “animal crossing “ on there I get links to websites.
Oh what is that and how does it work?
are you using the app or the website?
App
its a website based off of Amazon. Basically you can list items for sale, or purchase/trade with other people
Ohh that's weird you gotta specifically new horizons probably?
it requires the Nintendo online membership though
I usually search things like "acnh room designs"
Items r used in super creative ways now I remember people using bookshelves to make buildings it's pretty cool but now we have actual items to use as walls
I have the membership I think. Not like an expansion pack but like the basic membership.
Is nookazon a mobile app?
You can also use treasure Islands once you unlock the airport
Basically it's free items but some consider it cheating since it's a modded island but it takes so long to collect stuff it helps it go faster. Most islands you can get into for free if you do the waiting through the loading stuff and then some you can sub to on twitch and get private ones all you need is online tho really
I have the museum, ables, nooks cranny and resident services the building not the tent.
How would I go about getting nookazon just to try it out?
You can just type it in Google and make a account
It's the first link that pops up
Gotcha. So I’m guessing I’d make an offer for something I want and the seller and I would exchange invite codes or something to make the item trade?
Also I’ve never used codes before for like paths clothes etc.
hii where yall think this would look good on my island ? (im planning to move houses and other buildings except mine)
I've finally made it!
My Rock Garden is finally done!
Redesigning my island and heres my new plan :)
Need help figuring out what to put in this big empty space that's circled without using the buildings ( I already have a place for those )
gonna go to sleep now... it's time for the wildest dreams to take over
This is amazing!
This is my current map I need help with ideas for designs im not set on any placements and mostly flattened it the only thing im set on is the mueseum being raised up with a double staircase so I can make a dig spot but otherwise my island will be sanrio and cat themed and I need layout help I chose a really bad map if anyone can help id really appreciate some ideas
If you have all the different fruits you can make a tree farm in that area! Or maybe a marketplace! Do you have a certain theme you’re trying to with on your island?
Download now!!!! Thank you!!! 🙏🏼
If anyone knows of any F1/MotorSports themed items and ideas for in ACNH in general that I can get for my island if really appreciate any/all ideas yinz have :)
anyone know the designer code for this path or one similar? ❤️
I used this path on an island I previously had and loved how it looked
splatoon 👍🔥
I dont have a specific theme, but ill try to make a marketplace! Thankyou!
If I’m feeling uninspired should I restart?
That is fantastic! How did you do it?
I planned it out using Happy Island Designer and then manually carved all the rivers/layers out
Whaaaaaat? 🤯
What could I add in these areas to make it look less plain? Should I clutter more or idk 🤷♀️
Entrance WIP
My Museum area
Anyone have a diner area I can come look at for inspiration?? Please pm me
i added some hedges to my island today. much better
Anyone got rose plants? I want black, blue, orange and pink
you can trade for flowers in #flower-plants-trade !
friends theres some color missing in my market but I dont really know what exactly... if someone would be kind enough to give me some advice, i'd be grateful!
I love your set up already! Maybe some pink, white, and blue flowers or hedges.
I've had this idea for a holiday island. It would be divided into four sections, one for toy day, turkey day, bunny day, and Halloween. I don't think I'll go through with it, but I still wanted to share the idea.😊
maybe adding a design on the floor like little sprouts of plants or flowers could make the place look more colorful!!
you're so right, this space could use greenery, thank u so much!!🤍🤍🤍
OH YEAHHH THATS PERFECT THANK U 🥹🥹🥹🤍🤍🤍🤍
I was trying to get a cute picture of my new train station but I accidentally took a pic of Saharah in danger. Ma'am, get off the tracks! 😨
Also I think I need to do something with the ground in front of the seat but not sure what yet.
Before I change the color of the table I want opinions if it's cute. Im trying to be a designer girly but suck at it
I think it looks great! I might change the table to white to go with the benches and pop a bit against the brick.
Also you're for sure a design girly; you used flower-lined bricks 💮💮💮
I completely demolished everything I had on a corner of my island and made a lake with a small island in the centre and a touristic lookout spot!
abt to add some benches as a final touch
does anyone have an idea of what I should put in the middle of this intersection (where I’m sitting) to make it look less empty
Something small and cute like a shell fountain?
i have an empty mini island in the middle of my island, and i'm not sure what i should put here. it used to be my campsite, but the area was too small! does anyone have ideas?
Maybe a gazebo?
maybe rock garden?
conflicted on restarting my 2021 island 🙁 cause my main building is soo cluse
i have a rock garden already and i do not have the willpower to move it </3 that's a good idea though
maybe just like a cute picnic and flower field
hmm that could work.. idk if i'd be able to make the picnic area big enough
lemme think
anyone have any suggestions for some kind of small-ish design involving fences? I need some more fencing for 5 stars
Updated island look going for a abandoned island look
Looks great!
would anybody be willing to send pictures of their orchards or be willing to come let me check out the space of their orchards? The space I’m working with is proving difficult and covering produce or ketchup’s house. I need help
Did up my entrance
I really like how the colors of nova lights match the colors of the flowers you have!
Yeah my main goal was to have the lights surrounded by flowers of the same colour, but sadly we dont have many blue flowers
how are you guys getting good pics of your game like this and sharing them on discord?
you can send the photos to your phone or you can use a capture card but that requires a pc
can you explain to me how to do it like I'm 5 by chance? I haven't done much with my switch before now 🙁
nvm got it!
What are some of the reasons you'd like to start again? You can keep restarting until you get the layout you like. 💫
oh i restarted already lol i did LOl i got the layout i wanted airport allignment and double south rivers witha heart 🙂 . but the main reason was i wanted to was meet more villagers and actually grind instead of rushing things and going to treasure islands
oh and it took me 15 hours
Ah, I see! So more of enjoying the journey rather than the destination. I guess 15 hours isn't super long... do you have specific items you or flowers you want to keep or do you want to start completely fresh?
so right now i currently rolled cherries which i wanted instead of apples and i have comos and tammie and hamlet as my villagers
That's good! So do you have any other villagers or are you in the early stages of your island?
oh i just started like i havent talk to tom nook yet lol
How ya like my tree of wisdom
Been looking at videos for inspiration! Behind the tree to the right of Able Sisters I have White Vending Machines and a Torii gate at the bottom of the staircase! I lived in Japan for a while so I’m trying to get those vibes mixed in a little. Not really sure how I want to decorate my campsite tbh
i like my island but i dont love it
saw a countryside one and now im obsessed with the idea to try it myself but...
im terrified I'll regret it, but the thought about not completely cluttered roads sounds so nice
2 bits of silly bay revamped, especially the paths, and a new playground
any ideas of what to do with this small area? I put a dirt patch but it just looks so empty but the space is a bit too small for most items especially cos theres a bridge and I need stuff that wont get in the way of walking space so yeah idk what to do
You have a great foreground and background setup for this angle, what's missing is any meaningful transition or border of the background and foreground. Try framing the background using fencing or any sort of partition. Maybe adding a few garden rocks along the sides will help sell it a bit better. Looks beautiful!
this is SO helpful tysm!!
Anyone have any thoughts on any of these?
Hey guys any thoughts?
Is a cool idea for like a city or something like that
Thanks! I can see that I don’t really like the straightness of the river lol sometimes I like to keep the current layout and expand!!!
I love ur waterfall path. If it was a bit wider u could put fencing on either side of the path then it would look like a bridge.
For the shops you could add some shrubs or flowers!
Finally working on the mountain side/backside of my island. Been working on the same island on and off for a couple years now! Hoping to finish by next month. 🥹
I like how the area for the campsite and river look in the 1st picture, but from the bottom level in the 2nd picture and the skyline in the 3rd picture, it looks empty and awkward. Would it be best to just scale the river back so I can place a pine tree/plant a cedar tree? Or any other suggestions on how to make it work?
Unless there's an appropriate statue that's large enough, you'll probably be better off with a pine or cedar tree.
Aww thanks ill definitely try that
Idk what to put here i need ideas
anyone got good ways to fill in the gaps between trees?
I like using bushes
Guys what can I use for this open space
little mini campsite maybe, if u have a kids tents
Ohh the tent is a great idea thanks!!
Is there a way to prevent custom paths from being able to be erased/kicked up?
no unfortunately
:L
Does anyone have any island entrance designs they could share? Specifically entrances where the resident service building is pretty close and mostly straight forward from the airport?
so i have this incline going down to where redd's boat goes, but idk what to put here any ideas?
I plan on building a sort of pirate cove area
veni, vidi... da vinci?
What’s your island theme?
I don’t have a specific theme! But in general, maybe cute/kawaii? 😅
That is peak 😭💀
Thanks, glad it hit the mark for you! I have mixed feelings about it because I really wanted a more detailed face, but space was tight.
I had to choose between prioritizing the face or saving the full composition at the cost of some pixels in the expression. I picked the second option to avoid turning into a massive selfie, lol
ooh thats a good idea!!
Oooh! I've got one of those at the corner of my island
pirate area or maybe a picnic area
im honestly so confused how but thats awesome
Still using my aunt’s cross-stitch technique! I considered going from five colors to six, but the higher cliff's light green is a nightmare because it requires a specific green outline for every tile that just ends up bloating the forms. Not worth the trade off. If you want to try your hand at it without the headache, check out Stitch Fiddle or FlossCross. They’re perfect for mapping things out
I've flattened my 2 year old island and this is the first thing I've build/ decorated. Billy's house! Next ill be doing Quinns 🖤🕷
Looking for ideas for outside villager houses
What have they got going on inside?
hey guys - i am trying to make a “hippie/stoner/summercamp/homey” island. i need villager and island recs for this!
shep would make a nice hippie
Hmm, maybe Paula, Bud, Jacques or Violet?
Is that how you do it - match up what's inside? I have: Roswell, spike, genji, cece, big top, culinary,
Raddle, Gladys, raymond, miranda
Well... I haven't actually gotten around to designing yards for my neighbors yet. But that's where I'd start once I do.
does anyone have any general tips on planning areas for your island? i know exactly what themed areas i want and where i want them (have lots of pinterest inspo too) but when it comes down to terraforming and exact layout (trees, water etc) i feel so stuck and just haven't made any progress at all! feel paralised lol
I need help coming up with an entrance idea!! My airport is really close to the plaza
I recommend sticking to one theme for now. Eventually, as you progress, you’ll naturally feel the urge to drift apart from it and let your inspiration take over
I’m flattening some areas to remodel and my island is looking a little sad so I’m going to post my currently favorite area- my house exterior!
Currently redesigning my island and trying to figure out how to better connect the entrance to the resident service. Any suggestions?
Anything i should improve?
Don't fight against it. Create a large, central square. Trying to squeeze in a water feature is just fighting against the lack of space. Extend the plaza toward the airport, and you can even work in the nearby shops.
The orange in the quick mock-up is where I'd suggest just making one large plaza that you place park furniture, a DIY exchange, a market, etc. If you're feeling brave I'd extend it all in the purple, where you can have a bustling town area.
The easiest and simultaneously biggest mistake you can make in this game is flattening your entire island. While social media would have you believe that it's the best way, all those people are making content and will put in the time to do so. In reality it just does not work like that. You may have all the creativity in the world but if you don't have the time it doesn't matter, and vice-versa: you can have all the time but that doesn't matter if you're not inspired. So you get stuck with a flat island with large projects you never finish.
Approach things on a needs basis, and whenever the creativity flows in. Look at what and who you have. You have your house, for example. What do you want by your house? You have your villagers in a similar vein.
The easiest ones are the shops and the museum, but don't forget that you also need space for things you want to do. Are you suddenly getting overwhelmed by DIY and fossils? Maybe it's time to build some sort of DIY shop or freebie area. Are you breeding flowers? Make a garden.
And note not everything has to be this big, grand, thing with the Film filter on with the angled bird's eye view. Just put things where it makes sense and if later on it doesn't feel right any more, edit.
There is no such thing as "finished" islands. Unless you're a content creator whose entire thing is making islands from scratch, trying to force yourself into a "finished" island is not only laborious but also ridiculous. It's arbitrary. You'll just tire yourself out, and it's supposed to be an easy going game.
All these cores, themes, and aesthetics can easily push you into a rut. If you're finding yourself spending A LOT of your free time outside of the game frantically searching for inspo, it's time to put the phone down and close the tabs. Going back to earlier about "just make stuff, and then edit when it feels like you can", it very much applies to the aesthetic.
Lol I ran out of characters
The only thing left I want to mention is also looking at the things you already have. Working to trade for items, or losing your mind trying to go into a treasure island can easily overwhelm you. If you look at the furniture you already have in tandem with your shops and Harv's, it'll be easier to come up with things to fill in the space. And again, if you don't like it later on or you find better furniture that fits with your theme, then take it down and replace it.
that is so helpful - thank you for taking the time to reply!
sadly the island had already been flattened (damn you social media) but I will take your advice and just start to do some small things gradually as and when they come up!
unfortunately I do feel like I often get overwhelmed with any creative project (digital or physicl) and struggle to actually put pen to paper so to speak and start the process!
my fun fair section!!
would anyone be able to help w my island layout ? i have no clue how to set my island out n its my first time wanting to actually try and make it look nice / cohesive 😭
this is my map !
this wasnt for me but is very helpful, ive been getting overwhelmed recently because I have so many inspo pics and want to copy them and make my island perfectly decorated but it is starting to put me in a rut so I need to focus on one task at a time and wing it and do my own thing
I love the way you've laid it out so far!! I would say don't worry about adjusting your map so much as decorating the island first, maybe you'll be doing a certain area and then think 'oh some terraforming might be nice in this spot' my only advice is to maybe move a couple of the houses to another spot on the island to have 2 neighbourhoods (you dont have to of course this is just a suggestion) only because personally its fun to see the villagers go to more areas on the island and they will have a different walking path if their house is in a different spot, maybe make room for an orchard if you don't have one already?
Thank you!!! Thats good advice
Here’s my island map and my little town square I think is coming along. Do you think I should move the intersection up so that it will have a road in line directly with resident services? I’m thinking of moving the two stores somewhere else together and the museum maybe somewhere up north of the island. The villager houses I think I want to realign somehow but not sure. Any suggestions you guys have?
tysm!! i was thinking of making 2 neighbourhoods, n the orchard is a good shout :33 im just not sure exactly where to put stuff n the paths etc
I loved everything shy guy noted in the last 3 paragraphs!
I used to struggle with perfectionism in acnh and it pushed me to ruts so fast, and eventually caused me to restart my island 3–4 times in 1 year without any meaningful progress. After a very healthy and positive mindset reset, I’ve stuck with the same island for the last 4 years or so.
Building should be fun! If something is not working and you can’t figure out how to make a build work or look better, step away for a bit and inspo will come. In a perfect world, the item would fit in that small space, or that tree would be able to fit there.. but sometimes it doesn’t. So we compromise and adjust. No need to be too attached just cause of the time spent working on it. If you get too stuck on the first vision or idea you have, you’ll hinder yourself from coming up with creative solutions. It’s okay to go through trial and error.
Which side is better? Im making an elegant/town vibe island with pink and brown as the main colours, also i need advice on what bridges to use either the flat wood one or the arched stone one!
I like the second option more!
Don't worry about the flattening then. If you can't put pen to paper then do a metaphorical pencil to paper. You can always erase things afterwards if it doesn't work any more. On a flat island you have resident services, the pier, the airport, and the north beach — you still have something to work from!
Ok, I finally kinda filled it in but I'm not sure if it needs more details or if I just need to add a path.
I usually kind of poke at my idea, do little bits I can undo without too much trouble if I end up regretting it, then once I'm confident in the idea, I'll finally get really into the big, messy stuff.
What about fences and flowers?
I think this falls on game help but idk how to build my island and make it look well made I have nothing in the right upper corner area and I need help placing stuff does anyone have any ideas
Are you married to the idea of a clustered neighborhood? If you have no idea at all what to put in those empty spots, you can just a move a villager there and design a yard around them. It may inspire you with the surrounding area depending on who the villager is.
For example, wherever Gladys ends up can have a bamboo forest or a zen garden. I have cephalobot and I placed all sorts of astro tech around his area.
Or you could look at your island name and just go all in
whats a clustered nieghborhood if i may ask?
All of them next to each other
I just feel like my island layout is awkward because i dont know how i want to handle the upper right corner which i feel like is affecting everything
I have a pretty similar layout to yours so perhaps I'm a little biased with advice. But I personally ended up using the hardest part of the island for people to get to as the most natural area of the island. The campsite and Redd is up there, otherwise I kept it pretty simple with trees and fishing spots
i dont just want a flat island so i am struggling how to add layers too
Layers are nice but you'd need to think about how to get up there. I personally felt like everything came together once I placed bridges and inclines where it made most sense
Once you know how to get around your layers, you get an idea of the shape of your island and what space you can work with. Giant, decorative mountains are nice to look at, yes, but if you're personally even struggling figuring out what to do with said mountain where to put said mountain maybe placing something you use yourself as a player will help. In my case I put the campsite and everything fell naturally
I am trying on this happy island designer thing but i still feel like this isnt good
any things i should change this is my future idea
you’ll need a way to get down to redd up top :]
Anyone have any suggestions?
Road structure planning definitely becomes easier if you have an idea of the type of builds you want
Are you planning to make shop/restaurant like builds to go with with ables and nooks? How about a park or playground for the neighborhood?
And for the villager homes, are you wanting to do minimal decorations like trees, plants, fencing and a few basic items? Or are you wanting to maybe make a theme/story for each villager? For example, a jock villager might have an elaborate gym area, so that may or may not take up a lot of space.
For villager houses I want to keep it simple few trees plants or fencing and have a little village of them. I’ll have to look up the shop ideas
Anyone have some tips when it comes to makimg a neighboorhood on my island?
sooo I've been terraforming my island and I'm really unsure what to do with this open space, I was thinking I might move some more villager homes to the area but every time I place it, it feels awkward and none of the spaces feel right, the spots in the cliffs are for where inclines will go
finished a new area for redd!
does anyone have any codes for rugs?? i’m doing like a hippie island
I feel like i should tackle paths and fencing next on my island! Any recs for either of them? I'm going for a naturecore/forestcore vibe
Log stakes, log fence, spike fence.
What is that path you are using with the dirt and the stars?
Made a cheeky wee museum entrance
So my design philosophy has always been inspired by good urban design, which ultimately really helps with the playability of my island from my experience and I hope for visitors as well
Basically the three questions I ask are:
Is there something to do over there? And can I press b (aka run) to it? How easy is it to understand where to go without bringing up the map?
Anyways this is all to say that as I continue to rebuild my island after Resetti-geddon, I wanted to see where my paths of travel are and as I try to balance the playability with actually having space to design. And this is the happy place I found
From a bird's eye view it's a crazy amount of paths, but on the ground it feels just right. The purple, heavier lines are the main paths of travel which includes inclines and bridges, while the red, thinner lines are minor paths that include ladders and one tile spaces. None of these are sidesteps or tramples flowers btw.
I'll edit it as I actually rebuild more of the island, but from the outset I think everything just falls into place where it needs to.
entrance currently looks like this on map! all made from my selective memory on what to do!
I want to cover a big empty area with a castle. Can someone show me theirs for inspo? TYSM
I did something a little unusual, but I think it looks cool.
That’s exactly what I’m trying to do! Can you show me more angles ? If you don’t mind of course.
Does anyone have any suggestions for using simple panels? I’ve seen a lot of cool ideas but I don’t know what to do now that I have one
Sure, but not right now.
🍃˚˖𓍢ִ໋✨✧˚.🌱⋆
how do you find all that stuff that matches so perfectly with ur theme ?
lots of trial and error, just putting things down and seeing if they fit! also looking at similar themes and paying attention to items used. i knew i wanted a primarily green island, i like cohesion and lean a lot on foliage/plants so i figured out early on that i needed most things to be green or brown and just customize my items to match that vision 💚
you should let me visit one day, i want to see it
you can visit anytime! i’m recovering from surgery rn so i’m free lol. i don’t have a DA yet but i can send you a code 😇
pm me ❤️ i hope you recover well!
That’s so cool! I love that game!
Thank you very much
What bug models are those?
queen alexandra’s bird-wing and i think a peacock butterfly! i use all the greenish ones 💚
This or that?
This.
(ノ´•´)ノ*:✧🐚
son of a beach
this i think but both are nice!
Is it avatar?
I personally would put the houses on the left side.
what is that item in front of the windows? this whole blue glow looks so prettyyy
Looks like Festivale Lamps
Decided to give Redd and the secret beach a nice little meadow.
That’s so cool and way better than mine. All I have is a lit up sign that says danger.
😭 I did have Godzilla terrorizing the beach not too long ago
But yeah happy with this transition area from Genji’s tea farm to Diana’s forest
Dirty Diana no (it’s a song)
does anyone here have any minimal / simple islands? i need some inspo!
Would anyone be able to give input on something? I’m trying to find the “right place” to put my museum (I don’t have the vaulting pole yet)
What do I do with this space? There’s a land bridge on the left and I don’t want to terraform onto that
Honestly it doesn’t reaaally matter where you put it cuz you can move it later on in your gameplay - however for me personally i would put it near resident services
I didn’t know I could move it
Yeah !! It’s super easy so once you unlock your terraforming and vaulting pole you’ve kinda got free reign of your whole island :)
Still got a very long ways to go but im slowly getting there ❤️
Do you still have the codes for this?
Sorry, I don't
I was able to find it. I appreciate your response though 💗
I named my island "melon land" and then realised it has zero watermelons and I don't have any watermelon items
What should I add to make a more farm/fruit themed island?
There is a beach ball you can customize to look like a watermelon
does anyone specifically design the section of their island featured in flyovers? or just let it become whatever it does while designing overall?
(Hope this is the right channel)
I dont really have a clue what i could put on this hill with the T-shaped river…
Wanted to put a cemetary there first, but i dont really want those two to have one behind their houses. ANY idea what i could put there?
Guys what should I do with these areas, I have no idea what to do with it
when you start your first slumber island and genuinely reach flow state 💕 decided to recreate my first ever island that i never completed but this time make it good lol, so this is Moon Petal 2.0🌛🌸
Haven't played ACNH properly in a bit, but I just made this campsite area
looks good!
yes
