planting trees as close as possible (with 1 free tile from the cliff) to cover the sides would probably help; though I think with your current layout neither side of the cave is large enough for a tree to grow..

For the angled top-down view, just open the camera app and push left or right when in at the mostly (not fully) top-down angle
For the ground pictures, you need a camera upgrade from the nook stop

If you decide to keep the park elements, you could put a soccer goal and then fill up empty spaces with weeds or trash if you’re okay with a messy aesthetic

to get your waterfalls to look like that, you'd make 2 sets of cliffs (tier 1 and tier 2), and then use the water-scaping tool to make part of it into waterfalls + rivers!

@gloomy summit You could do a little walkway park/sitting area to the beach (I can't tell what level it is but I'm guessing 2nd. So like benches, fencing, volleyball net and ball catcher, water fountain. Things like that in the area, then the ride with the river can have fencing, flowers, or even another bench! You could also have a little cut out for strairs or make a little sitting lookout.

To me that area looks ideal for a cafe. A raised view of the beach and also the river, right next to the village so your villagers can stop for tea. The thin strip between the path and river can have cafe tables and chairs or fishing rods

Unlocked terraforming like 3 days ago and now I'm truly feeling that "Your map layout matters a lot" tip I got after buying the game but didn't fully know what it meant.
I'm trying to plan some stuff and wanted the Able sisters and Nook's to be close and have a very intuitive path connecting them, like the red arrow shows. But the placement of the rivers cracks that...

If I was just a tiny bit more aware of things and chose a map with a south/east river... it'd work perfectly

The community center is also very close to the airport but I think that's the tiniest of my problems, by terraforming like so I think I'm able to hide it-

If you raised the Able Sisters to be level with the Nook's Cranny, you could connect them using cliff jumps as seen here:

If you even out both ends of your river you can have more space to plan things. That is what I did with mine so I didn't have to worry about the water being in the way when terraforming.

Depends what part of europe you’re going for, if you want foggy rainy Western Europe then brick is the way to go. If you want warm sunny sort of countryside central to south europe I’d go with more wooden fences, and beachy colorful vibes

I’d pick a vague general area and make that the most prominent theme, but don’t be afraid to blend them together and experiment with different transitions

a sewing/laundry area by ables and/or a crafting/market spillover in front of nooks would be cool! but a classic sitting area by either would also look nice i think

Part of me is debating just redoing the whole store area further back but that feels like so much work 💀 I wish I could just grab everything and move it

But at the same time I kind of like having everything right near the entrance? I'll give those a try!

as someone above suggested, little outside areas to the store would be nice. could also fill the green squares up front with plants/bushes/etc to make like a green planted area!

Made this library, but it feels like it's missing smth. Any ideas or recommendations? Also, any ideas for maples yard? I have her, but I have no idea what to do with her yard lol.

Maybe a fence around the edges? Maybe more sofas too. I like to have lots of sitting options in my libraries lol. You could do 2 sofas in the middle of the floor leaving room for a pathway between them. Also maybe a mush lamp inside too. Do you have the Moroccan furniture? Moroccan sofas and footstools would look great in here.

Maybe a rocking chair as an alternative
