Looking to make a ritual circle custom design.
How big should I make it as a beginner and how would I go about making it?

I think a lot of them are either 2x2 or 3x3 depending on preference of the creator. I'd actually suggest making one in like paint or an image editor and converting it using https://acislove.com/ to convert it to a design, at least as a base. You can then either edit the converted images to get them to look how you want, or you can leave the converted images open on your computer or phone while you try to recreate them in AC if you'd like to fine tune within the game.

on that website when you convert an image, you get to select the width and height so you can easily convert one image into a 2x2 or 3x3 set of images

How can you get custom designs? I know you can look them up. But once you save them how can you use them?

You can look them up with Google but idk if there's a website to find custom designs more easily, i do know there are some websites that turn images into custom designs for you to download with the Nintendo Switch Android app. You can also get custom designs in the kiosk inside the tailors or from the custom designs app once you unlock that option.

To use them
Go into the custom designs app and select the one you want then display on ground. Or you can use the construction app and apply custom designs like paths. Unfortunately, unlike the set paths the game gives you, custom designs can be easily erased by pressing Y like you do with holes in the ground
