What does it mean when villagers could be voided? - i hear about it alot

@north acorn that belongs in the questions channel. But i’ll answer it. When you kick out a villager, there is a day where they have the interior of their house in cardboard boxes. During that time if you have a visitor, they can take that villager from you. If no one does, that villager ends up in the “void”. If you visit someone who has an open space for a villager available, they may end up acquiring the villager you have in your void.
