the older games are more about the social/personality/things to do aspect, the newer games drifted away from what the creator envisioned AC as, and it began with New Leaf (Love ya New Leaf but yeah that's when it went away from the core/point of Animal Crossing) - its why I was quite disappointed in New Horizons because the customisation is amazing, but the core reason I loved Animal Crossing in the first place felt like a giant afterthought and I got bored very quickly

I literally had the WEIRDEST dream last night.

For some reason, I dreamt that I was sitting outside on a bench near a random school and I noticed a Pokémon Crystal cartridge on the grass close to me.

I pick it up, just to discover it was fake. But then I notice a lot of other Pokémon Crystal cartridges around the bench. So what do I do? I start picking them up, one by one.

I think I found about 5 Pokémon Crystal cartridges and two of them were real. I believe I also found a Pokémon Emerald cartridge and that was real too.

i've restarted my island but i'm having trouble getting myself to play it. i'm turning 30 this year and i just keep asking myself, am i too old for this? should i not be doing this? is it bad to still play animal crossing? i'm trying to remind myself that it shouldn't matter and it doesn't mean i'm immature but even some of my friends in their early-mid 20s are giving me a hard time about it

Yeah, it's really gross. I'm trying to remind myself that I don't think aging is inherently ugly; I do think it can make you less surface level pretty and most certainly takes away your youthfulness, but it's not an uglifier. ||Ugh it sucks to love both ACNH and ACNL since I absolutely love my ACNH villagers but the game clearly lacks the subtle melancholy ACNL had but as a kid I never truly got attached to my villagers well I probably had a few crushes but it was more RP-ing than actual love bit seeing ACNL content in 2025 is both amazing and so sad to me since my second ACNL town is still there but it was built with the help of a new ex friend who manipulated me since so young but I moved on and also my second town at some poinr was where i started to go more for a pretty town thus less meaningful conncetiond with my villagers thus i was still enjoying ACNL but with a small pressure maybe (think sbout the community in 2016-) but damn I can't get back into it without feeling upset and I have a ACNL emulator on my phone but it doesn't hit the way I want it to and seeing ACNL content in 2025 is cool but the amount of (while fair) criticism and hate ACNH gets in the comments just upsets me when people can't help but compare the 2 even tho they can treat it as different games entirely 🥀
I really want to add certain BIG elements of ACNL in my ACNH island that's literally a town to me it ain't an island it's a town leave me alone 💔 like rhe train station or the deserted forest aspect and the benches but I can't help but wonder why exactly when I can just go back in ACNL? It really hurts to want to make your island like an ACNL town while everyone else is making their islands be a "core" aesthetic.. 🥀💔 I go on my ACNL town on my phone but talking to the villagers feels like chore since I'm trying to get the hairstyles thingie salon and kinda speed running... On Best buy, switch 1 is still about $300 .

And switch 2 , no bundle is $450 right now. So the switch 2 is most expensive. I'm having trouble finding them without bundles on Amazon
