honestly half and half... nothing too standout of today. I made pasta from those setup bags from the grocery store (chicken fettucini style) but i'm terrible at keeping sauces from turning into liquid and breaking. So it's just pasta, olive oil, sriracha, pepper flakes and the little bacon bites... I just ate the spicy sweet glazed bacon strips i made on the stove a few hours ago. I am a picky eater tho when ik i'm not the best cook.

because i work so differently than others in some ways, so at least, if i have an official diagnosis i can rule it out with a psychologist

Mhm i feel that. My doctor advised me to go to a neurologist to understand stuff better about my tism' and any other possible disorders I might have like ADHD bonus, my undiagnosed major depression that was discovered from the way I answered a little quiz my former college's student health center gave me... life is full of surprises. My doctor just wanted to know if i was okay with being labeled with the tism' and if it is alright for me to get accomodations in school like calculators and extra testing time and being moved to another room if I'm sensitive to noise... etc etc.

But me being the adamant or stubborn person I am... I refuse to have my tism' under question because I had the diagnosis ever since I was young. Though in retrospect, I may need the other shii looked at like how people noticed my depresso is a prominent problem that pops up... and also that I do share some qualities that an ADHD person would have.

Don't feel pressured to get a diagnosis for sure, but they're helpful for treating your symptoms. Of course you can treat the symptoms without a diagnosis, but don't claim you have something if you're not formally diagnosed with it or a professional (who can diagnose) has said "hey you have this but we won't diagnose you for x reason, we will still treat you though"

Also not being diagnosed can
mean less access to specialized programs or medication you may need

i respectfully disagree because i think my diagnosis were a privilege that not a lot of people may have! many factors go into that like money and such, i have gotten a lot of help since ive been diagnosed but i think there are ways around especially the american healthcare system

I'm more saying don't self diagnose, even if you have the same symptoms because there's a lot of factors like self bias especially if you're looking at a specific disorder and a lot of disorders have overlapping symptoms, so you could very easily have a different diagnosis

Recognizing symptoms is a first step in treatment, but like I said many many symptoms overlap and there's bias when researching a self diagnosis. It's helpful to have a baseline of what you think you have but you shouldn't be claiming you have something, especially a serious disorder like a personality disorder (which can't be self diagnosed) or autism/schizophrenia etc if you're not professionally diagnosed. In this day and age with social media romanticizing disorders and unfortunately a lot of fakers or disorders being seen as a trend that's why I think this way.
