Easy way to catch wasps is to take your net out and shake the tree from the bottom. The wasp will fall next to you, and you can spam A to catch

I watched a YouTube video that says they go kind of a sunrise/sunset cadence. In the mornings they may come in from your left beach and at night they come in from your right beach. (Different for everyone but that is how mine are) But they come in from the ocean in 5 min interval apparently! The game chooses species first then villagers, so species with fewer villager will seem to appear more often for example a specific cow is more likely to show frequently than a specific dog, especially if you already have some on your island / miq.

i believe you need 8, to get to 3 stars - i’d have to double check that one. but you can go talk to tom nook and choose “sell some land”, put down a new plot, and then you’ll be able to find villagers on nmt mystery islands.

i think that’s kind of a subjective question. it may have been valuable as far as selling. catching every bug once can also fill out your critterpedia and museum donations.
