You could adopt another villager once the plot is available, it would fill naturally.
If you do have 8 and she mentions the population, she means development points which can be achieved in other ways.

You might just have to play and see what happens and determine from the behavior of your game (although if you don't recall an option to cleanse a negative fortune then it was likely good, if that helps)

Like, my friend's island name appears and everything. But once I try to travel to it (or vice versa) I get hit with a general "communication error!" message.

I time traveled about a week in advance (day by day) last night to hurry along some buildings and speed up the beginning process. My biggest tip to you is hunt on a nook island and try to remove all the trees save for the palm trees. there is some truth to that statement however, you will get other "stag" bugs spawning. Removing the other bug spawns is one of the sure fire ways to get the spawn you want, but then you have to graple with the RNG of the other bugs within the type

But iirc Goliath beetles are one of the rarer stags you can get

I reccommend looking up "all bugs that spawn on palm trees anch" on google. might help with some better methods

Because so far it seems like Knox, Sterling, Clay, Roswell, and Shino are the the ones asking the most. That's the other way around: villagers with higher friendship are less likely to ask then those with lower friendship (but if everyone is at max friendship, then the odds are even)

Conversely, acting rudely toward the villager, such as by insulting them or neglecting to do the favors they request lowers friendship. Contrary to popular belief, abusing villagers with a net and other means of abuse does not lower the player's friendship with the villager. Instead, they are placed on the friendship ladder, remaining stationary until an act of kindness or negativity is done upon them.
Not trying to be rude but I also read that you can ignore a villager to lower the friendship I will accept if this is wrong but again I'm relatively noobish to some of the mechanics of the game.

Hitting them with a net and pushing them does lower friendship points, but not friendship levels, and rarely are points enough to affect the move-out process.

as long as you have 6 or more villagers, you’re probably not doing anything wrong. it can just take some time to get the move out bubbles. i would just keep at it, it will work eventually. also make sure you’ve talked to the villager(s) you want to move out at least once.

you can also try different methods, there’s lots of them out there. i have the best luck with time traveling +15 days, +1 day, +1 day, rinse and repeat until the villager you want to kick out gets one.

You bury a fragment in the ground, water it, and the next day when you dig it up a gyroid will be there! So with your 3 fragments you can get 3 gyroids! And once you dig it up it is like a normal furniture piece

So with a full island the game tends to try and prevent you from moving in more than one villager at a time. You can try to see if a filled plot will cause the campsite visitor to pick someone to kick out, but they may just consistently refuse to move in.

FAQ:
• Can you build bridges between cliffs? No, only over a body of water.
• How do I increase the bridges/inclines cap? You have to redeem the Pro Construction License, as the Resident Representative, from the Nook Stop machine. It becomes available once you have built 8 bridges or 8 inclines.
• How come I can't place the incline? You need to be at the base of the cliff (lower tier).
• Why can't I build a bridge here? Your river needs to be 3-5 blocks wide & both sides need to be even.
• Dimensions of a bridge/incline? Bridges are 4 tiles wide, inclines are 2 tiles wide
• I didn't donate for the bridge/incline yet and had no visitors, but Lloid said there's been a small donation? Villagers can donate bells towards the cost; donation is equal to friendship points. It is better to pay it off, as villagers only donate a small amount, and can't donate the last bell.

hey! so i have sasha’s amiibo card and ive had cards before so i know how it works. i invited him to my campsite 3 time and each time built what he asked for. but on the third time, he asked to move in and i said yes but he said oh maybe another time? and then today (4th time) i invited him again and he wants me to build more stuff? when will he move in

Perhaps one of your attempts didn't save, but it should only ever be 3 times. Also be sure you have either a full island (10 animal villagers) or an empty plot for them to move into.

you need not restart it, just invite them -> craft the item -> see what happens when you ask them to move in afterwards

if they still don't agree to move in i would recommend posting their dialogue here, sometimes that helps us discern what exactly the issue is

I guess they somewhat are drawn to interactable items, e.g anything that can switched on and off or has an aanimation wahen you press A. If it's in an area they can access and they are near, they might suddenly sprint to it and activate it a few times, before starting wandering again

i, taiyun, got a new switch. so i transferred my account over to my new switch, but acnh didnt transfer. now, from my understanding, i have to transfer my nintendo account back to my first switch in order to properly transfer my animal crossing island?

when i join on the maxx account, it says "currently, there is existing resident data for Ukai (island name) on this nintendo switch system that is not linked to any other user"

is there a way to transfer it without moving my nintendo account from my new switch back to my old switch?
