When restarting, you will lose all of your DIYs, villagers, and catalog. The start of the game is very tedious and people tend to forget this when resetting.
It is generally easier to remove everything and flatten your island.
Restart only if you don't like the position of your RS, airport, river ends, northern beach, etc.

the game will always try to spawn 4, but only 6 can be buried. this means if you missed one day you’ll have 6 the next, and if you dug up all but one, you have 5 the next day. however there’s no case where only 3 fossils will be present on your island after a new day, unless you don’t have the space for it

I’m not entirely sure what that final black will do, and I don’t think pinks will show up…however their breeding ability is still there once the gold flag is unset, you just can’t make gold with that rose anymore until you set it again with the proper watering with a golden watering can

The recipe you get from celeste is pretty much random each time you go, you probably won’t get the same diy as the other person. if you have the recipe, she’ll give you a different one or star fragments if you have gotten all of the available ones at the time (zodiac diys can only be obtained during their respective timeframes)

same as any other flower, lay them out so they are not touching and water them, they’ll clone eventually. technically, (and you shouldn’t do this over cloning but I just want to include it) the genotype of blue roses is such that breeding any blue roses together will always yield a blue. (like I said, though, just clone them, it’s more efficient.)

There’s not really a “fastest” layout, since the flowers are by themselves you can’t really configure them in a manner which makes it so they clone quicker, since it’s all up to their reproduction chance. however, there is space efficient layouts, but you don’t need to bother with those unless you have practically no space on your island

and even then, it's down to luck as to who gets picked

even if you use time travel, it can take dozens of tries before the game finally picks the one you want gone. So if you don't want to time travel, it'll likely take you months.

Although if you just want a villager gone but do not need an empty plot, you can invite a camper, amiibo or not

Unfortunately there isn't a whole lot we can do to help you. All that method does (all any method does, really) is speed up a naturally-occurring in-game process that is highly randomized. Just keep going, and if you haven't already, try limiting your bubble pool (put a non-target's relocation kit in your pocket, tell at least one villager "no, don't go")

It would depend on if the conversation saved. The game can't save mid-conversation, so if you quit then you'd be fine, but if you closed the convo and the game saved you'd need to cancel their move using a second player.

People tend to dislike heavily gifted villagers because gifts are a bit tedious to get rid of, especially if you don't have the DLC (Happy Home Paradise). You cannot discern giftedness aside from literally looking at the villager and seeing if they have many/few items that aren't in their default belongings.

DIYs have unlock requirements (i.e., you can't learn or find X DIY unless you've already learned 20 other DIYs), and the DIY requests that Amiibo visitors ask for always have a 0 unlock requirement. So if the 2.0 DIYs have any sort of unlock requirement, then the Amiibos won't ask for them.

They heavily nerfed the spawn rates of tarantulas/scorpions pretty close to release. Player-made tarantula/scorpion islands are no longer an efficient way to make bells, but they're alright if you just need them for your critterpedia/museum/bug models.

one thing to note, the first resident on the island will be treated like a main character, more involved in storyline (initiate projects, etc..), compared to the second resident, will still have full access to island build stuff do anything but the experience wont be as great.

Depends on what you want from it. Light is cheaper but you can only play on portable mode. And if your joycon start to drift you can't change/repair them as easily
Classic is more expensive, but you can play as you wish, on a bigger screen up to you. This channel isn't aimed for opinions so if you want more try asking in #general for example

id recommend checking out #garden-science-info, it'll have all the information you need to get started on breeding flowers. you can obtain rose seed bags from either leif or nooks cranny and its with these that you breed the other colors

as for the blue roses themselves, they're kind of a special case, a color bred from other roses (in a very complicated process). blue ones can only produce more blue ones unless combined with other colors

Hi guys! I’ve never switched up my residents and I’m wondering how to go about it. I have a 5 star rating and a full house. I have a few questions:

1. If I meet someone on another island, or at my campsite, that I want to invite, do I have to have a vacancy first?
2. If I have a vacancy, will I see an option to invite this character automatically when I talk to them? Or is there a way to invite a specific character that I’ve spoken with in the past?
3. If I create a vacancy, will I lose my 5 star rating until it’s filled?
