They are still part of your main island, the DLC provides little exclusive items, and those can be seen by non-DLC owners, they just can't access/trade those

you get the DLC island, but you can't like terraform it like your own 🙂 So it's a second island, but not like your main one. If you want more info on DLC, there's a lot of people who stream it!! You're not asking too much btw 🙂

How do I layer custom designs? I see people place the side of a custom design on top of another, but I can't seem to figure it out

Cause there is the path, and sides of the flowers, and the flowers themselves, and they layered all of them.

Hello! A friend of mine haves a villager in their campsite, but when it finally accepts to move in and talks to de RS, it always says theres no space but it doesnt ask to kick someone else. Why does this happend?

You enter them by talking to Luna after laying down on a bed to dream. You can only dream once you've upgraded your resident services to a building, but once that's done just lay down on a bed inside your home and Luna will guide you through the process!

All that means is she wants more nature points from you. Fully-grown flowers are the easiest way to achieve this.

Fully-grown trees are 1 point each but take up way more space (and stop giving you points after a certain amount), and bushes give a half point.

They are only guaranteed empty for one day. If you play online chances are it'll be that. If you don't play online, plots can stay empty a few days, up to weeks, depending on your luck.
Each day you have a chance of it to fill, with your move in queue (villager from people's voids) full it will fill the following day

• Visit Nook Miles Ticket islands (mystery tours). These islands always have rocks you can hit for materials.
• Trade with other players if you have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Make sure you have the trade role from #721542917264638002, then visit #materials-and-tools.
• Wait for the rocks' respawn (everyday at 5 am) and extract the most materials from each rock by following this guide: https://chibisnorlax.github.io/acnhfaq/island-life/#how-can-i-get-8-hits-from-a-rock

There's only one island per Switch, and if you visited someone, I don't see how you could access two different islands
