• What if I have an open plot?
Amiibos still need to be invited 3 separate times, even if you have an empty plot.

• Can I choose who the Amiibo villager kicks out?
Yes, just make sure you've spoken to that villager at least once and their house isn't currently being relocated.

Just wanted to double check this…My island is full (10 villagers), and someone at my campsite has agreed to check with Resident Services about moving to my island (finally won that card game ugh!). Since the pick is random, if they choose someone I don’t want to leave, it’s recommended to force quit the game isn’t that correct so they’ll try to pick again?

Person A drops payment, Person B drops item(s). All can be vice versa. ^^

This might be a situation where one account is the host account and the other is the second player account. When I played on my sister's switch I seemed to progress further since I didn't have to go through the same story line as I wasn't the host. If you and your daughter play on the same switch then this may be the case. Otherwise I am not entirely sure what's happening.

I just crafted double things and left tools out in the open for the other character that didn't have said tools to pick up and use. Eventually both characters caught up with eachother though but you don't have to do that unless you really want your axe.

so then yes, if you try to move her character data from the island in which she is the resident representative, it will delete her old island entirely. she should make a brand new character on your island, just name it the same and play on that way.

Gyroids are based off Clay figuring named "Haniwa" they were usually buried along with deceased people as a people thought the souls from the bodies would grab onto the little clay figures and reside on it as a home, that's why gyroids are usually found burried in the ground and have that look to them.

@silk knot you only have the option of choosing who you'd like to leave on amiibo visits. in order to have it for a regular campsite visitor, you need to close the game upon their initial choice so the game can redo the RNG of them picking

the only bet you have is closing the game and then reopening and hoping that it didn't save her pick of Marshal

This was a glitch introduced in a past game version, I'm not sure if you're on the current version or not, but if you are it may have been re-introduced in one of the recent updates because we had previously assumed it was patched. Anyhow, when you move two villagers out simultaneously, it will sometimes cause one to be stuck in boxes indefinitely. It can be fixed by having someone adopt the villager that is stuck in boxes.

@calm cairn I ran into the same issue when i first bought the game. I didn't realized i was not supposed to break the rocks. Make sure you havent eating any fruits before smacking the rocks and dig spaces behind you to prevent you from getting push back so you can repeatly press on the "A" button to get the most of the items out.

Also every day that passes by, new rocks will spawn in your island which will guarantee you more iron nuggets, clay, gold, bells and rocks for the future.

Just sharing this info in case you didnt know. I played the game for 2 weeks before researching about that...lol

@calm cairn yeah. Eating fruit will cause your character to gain more strength and break the rocks. In case you eat fruit before completing the task of getting the items out of the rocks, then I would suggest to use your strength for digging out trees. You will see your strength will decrease.

If you are playing past midnight, maybe try getting out of the game and reloading it back again? I have not try this before, but it could make your rocks respawn. I mean 12am is technically the next day. But not sure if it has to be 5am for the rocks repawn the next day.

Also, when you dig holes behind you, make sure its not close to the rock. You will need the space around the rock for all the items to come out.

we don't know how time travel affects them, but we know tt backwards removes the watered effect from flowers, so you could infer it might do the same for gyroids. or you missed the spot they were in and they weren't actually watered
