you will be able to live on both islands with no issue. the animal crossing save data is stored on the console, so each island is unique to each console. if you want to start a brand new island on the switch lite, you’ll be able to do that with no effect on the other island / your account there.

So we did the transfer for her switch and it deleted every single game data she ever played including our island it transfered her account and deleted it off mine and deleted all her data and to rub insult to injury it kept her play hours logged in every single game so we can see all the data and time lost. It isn't even saved on the old console and it even deleted some updates for some games. Basically not only did we lose the island we were trying to save we lost everything from her account

oh dear, that doesn't sound good. that also doesn't sound like normal behavior of the transfer process. most of this information is backed up on a cloud though, have you tried reaching out to Nintendo for support? wait times might be long, but i know they've been able to restore this information for users before, so i think it would be a viable option.

Hello! So, I was having this problem lately of wanting to get a 5 star island and whenever I talk to Isabelle she continues to say my island is somehow "cluttered" and too many items are lying on the ground when really its just furniture and I don't have anything on the ground, can anyone help me with this problem I don't really understand

The cluttered dialogue usually does mean you have something dropped, not placed, on your island. are you positive there's no leaf-form furniture, toolbox-form tools, fruits, turnips, etc.?

dropped fruit should iirc. only natural ground spawns (branches, stones, shells, star frags, etc.) don't incur penalty.

You can put items in your pocket by pressing Y while standing next to it. You open your pockets by pressing X. If you want to store things, you need to first upgrade your house from a tent to an actual building, then you can access it by pressing right on the d-pad while inside your home.

You can't remove plots, only relocate them.
I'm not sure I understand your first question though, custom designs should work as any customization, use a kit on a compatible item. If your design isn't a piece or clothing or cutout umbrella etc it should be the pen option on the workbench's customization menu

There's only one storage in New Horizons: your house storage, which expands for each loan payed, plus a few more that can be bought after that...
There are two storage shed furniture items that allow you to access your house storage from anywhere on your island, you unlock them once you have paid all your loans and bought the first house storage upgrade (you can also trade for them)
