As for the "why" questions, the answer is almost always simply because it's how the player chooses to play. Sometimes they don't want villagers who have been given weird gifts as they're difficult to replace/remove, sometimes they can't be bothered to hunt for someone they want on a mystery island, etc. etc.

It's 6 villagers, and a few versions back there was a suspected bug where players couldn't move out villagers prior to unlocking KK's concert, but it seems to have fixed itself as confirmed by a few people in 1.11.0

Alright I got a complicated question I need answered but don’t stress about it if y’all don’t know, I don’t know how to explain things sometimes.

If I wanted to reset the interior of a villager’s house, I would use the middleman service for them to hold them. Problem is, then I wouldn’t have an open plot and couldn’t get em back, and the middleman can only hold em for 72 hours.

My new solution? Have an amiibo visit thrice but don’t ask them to move in yet. Wait for a rando villager to ask to move and say yes. Then, THE SAME DAY, I ask the amiibo to replace my target villager.

The next day, I should have an amiibo taking up the villager I am resetting’s plot, and I will have an open plot because of the random villager asking to move. Will this work?

I think the thing I'm still unclear on is why you're trying to do the Amiibo move-in in tandem with your villager interior reset, as opposed to simply foregoing the Amiibo altogether and just waiting for another random villager to ask to move out.

1. Kick Audie out with Poppy (Amiibo).
2. Wait for some other random villager to request to move out, say yes.
3. Fill their plot with your Audie from the middleman.
4. Wait for Poppy to ask to move out if she's not a desired villager, as Audie will be the most recent to have moved in, making Poppy eligible to ask on her own.

It is your campsite, if you temporarily move it your rocks should spawn there (and you can move your campsite back after they spawn in)

Don’t get me wrong, I would love for that scenario to work but I was told that middlemen only hold your villager for a max of 72 hours. If that’s the case, it’s very unlikely a villager will happen to ask to move out within 3 days, not to mention that it takes them 2 days to get fully out (since 1 day is them asking to move and the second one is them in boxes).

tl;dr, you can ask for extensions! i used to be a middleman here and sometimes they can accommodate extension requests, especially if you ask nicely. otherwise you could try to find someone in #player-services if you trust them enough!

and i had just an additional small note about this:

it’s very unlikely a villager will happen to ask to move out within 3 days
Amiibo move outs do not interfere with the 15-day cooldown, so you could move someone out via Amiibo and get a thought bubble move-out request the following day. Of course that isn't to say a move-out request is guaranteed, just that it could certainly happen. Also apologies I couldn't give a more straightforward answer ^^'

the game is just very fickle about having two villagers move out simultaneously -- i've seen many try and have it either fail or the game glitches out for some reason.

You won't lose your villager unless you're deleting your island. In that case you can find someone to hold your villagers for you.

Should I restart my island?
When restarting, you will lose all of your DIYs and catalog. The start of the game is very tedious and people tend to forget this when resetting.
It is easier to remove everything and flatten your island.
Restart only if you don't like the position of your RS, airport, river ends, northern beach, etc.

There will be two ways to access the new DLC:
1. Buy it directly from the eShop or Nintendo's website. Doing this means you will be able to access the full DLC content forever.
2. Buy an NSO+EP subscription: you'll have access to the DLC as long as the subscription is active... but you'll lose access to it as soon as the sub ends. You will lose access to the archipelago, but you do retain anything you earned while playing the DLC, such as furniture items, techniques, etc.

I've tried most of the popular move out methods. Jumping a month. Jumping 14 days. Talk to the villager, skip one day. Skip another. If no bubble than skip 15. I've had the most luck with just doing 14 days off the bat

You only should need to make a 30 days jump first to make sure you're at max odds of someone asking, then check day by day at around 1pm when villagers have the most chances of being outside

b) wait until tomorrow for the rocks to replenish their materials and hit them again then.

You can find acorns and pinecones right now so you can get those recipes from balloons, and that doesn’t include the recipes you can find on the beach. Those are always random, non-seasonal recipes that come in the bottles.
