you can use them to travel to mystery islands, which can be used for resource gathering and finding villagers when you have an empty plot - they're used a lot in player to player trading as well

I've been playing for almost a year now but my island is still ugly, incomplete, barely did any terraforming except for a cute entrance, and I'm starting to hate my layout. I would just put in the work to flatten it, but:

• as I said before, the layout sucks (esp. resident services location)
• can't figure out how to work with it
• I hate my island name and my character name

my only concern is if I'll regret losing all my diys and villagers. like rn i feel like if I did it I wouldn't regret it but I might after the fact.

so, do you think I should restart?

i have my mom's island where I can drop off my bells and some furniture that i'm attached to so that's not a problem

If it's Monday - Friday and no one is in the plaza, you probably have a wandering NPC so you'll need to go and find them. Wisp may also be your NPC, which would mean you'd need to wait until the evening for him to appear. If it's Saturday/Sunday, it should always be KK (unless event) and Daisy Mae

it would depend on the flower’s genes. since clones share the genotype of the parent, it would only be able to make blue if the parent was able to make blue. If it’s not able to make blue, there’s no chance the clone will, either, even when paired with the parent

oh i forgot all the regular villagers have posters, so yes if you have regular villager amiibos and want their posters, same deal as above ^. you can also spawn in your current villagers to harv's if you want their posters too

You can look up guides online for specific villagers for preferred clothing and such 🙂

I think if it’s non-preferred clothing it can get placed in their house, and they can place any furniture item in their house as well

If I recall correctly you should be able to as soon as you're able to visit mystery islands in the beginning, so you even can today if you like. You can invite up to three villagers, and they'll just wait until the houses are built and the furnishing requirements are met and then they'll move in!

What is Isabelle telling you to do? She usually suggests what sort of items you need to increase your rating!

If she's still suggesting it, then that simply means you need more of it! You can ask her as many times as you need, her advice updates instantly with whatever changes you make to your island!

There’s no way to ensure a specific villager has the moveout bubble, so that’s why the method has you time travel to the point where it’s most likely that any villager has the bubble, then day by day until it’s the one you want out

Looks like it's relative spawn rate is 5-10 (it's difficult to calculate exact bug spawn rates so we have to go off of relative ones) -- for comparison, a firefly has a 200 spawn rate
