I believe so. This happened to me once, when I first started the game, I saw many people visit mystery Islands to get Villagers. So I did it too, little did I know, you needed plots to make them actually come to your island. Unfortunately, they didn't come. BUTTTTT.. once I got some available plots, they appeared.

Up to you... the first 5 get basic starter houses and not their real house. So if you want a certain villager just for their house don’t have them be any of your first 5

• Shooting stars only happen between 7 pm and 4 am. There are two main types:
