there is no way to report a villager's house to isabelle . if you redecorate his house via the DLC, it would be gone if you remove it. the house will be whatever you set it as

Does anyone know how to surround trees with custom paths like this? I really want to do this for my tree farm, but I can’t figure it out.

the first and second one have an official in-game path placed down and then the tree planted on top of it (normal dirt in the first image, dark dirt in the second one) with the custom designs that are designed to be exact matches for those paths around the edges . the third one is the in-game normal dirt placed down and then the tree planted on top, with leaf custom designs placed on top

the first two options wont work with all custom design paths — the center piece has to have absolutely no transparent pixels. those designs above are designed to work this way, but the leaf design on the third image isnt; it has transparent pixels, which means it wont go beyond the edges of the in-game official pathing when placed on top

Can a villager in boxes at someone else's island be convinced to move the same way you do it with campsite visitors? It took a month for me to even get a campsite visitor and I just have one villager left that I really want to leave

You MUST have an unsold, empty plot available to invite a villager from another player's island, or to find villagers on mystery islands (and you can only invite one villager from a mystery island per day). A villager in boxes, or a house with the "I moved out" sign is NOT an empty plot.

A 3x3 area has been changed to be the default soil path, and the tree has been planted in the center. Yes, there will be four new fossils every day, unless you already had three or more buried - the spawn cap is six, so e.g. if there already were three fossils underground, only three new ones would spawn that day. So if that isn't the case, the fossil should be just hiding somewhere ^^ sometimes the spot can get visually obstructed by objects such as trees.

That was bc hybrid flowers from hybrid flower island already had the best genes for breeding all the hard to get colors (old info). There's still ways to get the flowers you're after. We just have to work the hard way by breeding up to ones with good genes. Plenty of methods to research for each flower you're after

You just need more nature points in general; having fruit variety is actually not something that affects your rating, despite what some of Isabelle's dialogue might feel like it suggests. ^^

Ohh, there's a chance that's the case, unfortunately. Inclines have that rock-blocking property, but I'm not sure where the edge of the area is in that orientation as you can see in the infographic below, if it's oriented to the north, those tiles will be blocked. I'm not sure what the blocked tiles exactly are in that orientation. But if you can think of nothing else then I'd say there's a high likelihood it's the incline, unfortunately

May I ask, was the rock on the bottom left there before you built the incline or no?

travel to mystery islands and shake trees, shake your island trees daily, visit the shops, pop off balloons, Do wisp's quest when you see him, Gulliver as well, if you have the dlc you can unlock lots of items that way, if you have an online subscription try to catalogue (touch trade) with many people ! and take your time, as well, animal corssing is a very slow game overall

When you take a trip with Kapp’n, there will be a gyroid fragment buried on the island! You can dig that into the ground and water it, you’ll see a plume of smoke after it’s been watered, then the next day, tada! Gyroid :D

Keep in mind you cannot adopt from other players yet, and you are limited to the scripted personality types ! Normal, Peppy and Lazy

a turnip is the animal crossing stock market basically, you can by turnips on sunday morning, and then you have until saturday to sell them, the nook shop will offer one price at morning and one for afternoon, the aim is to sell more than you bought for be careful not to time travel backwards or after the next sun once you bought turnips (stock shares) they will rot and become worthless

There's no way to convert Bells into NMT in-game--you might be thinking of the ability to convert Bells to Poki in the DLC. You can trade Bells for NMT in #materials-and-tools if you like, but that's as close as it gets!

I honestly can't remember a time where this was possible tbh. You can choose the villagers that claim the houses you build on mystery islands before completing them if you wish to somehow choose

Yeah binging mystery islands is the only way you can pick the early villager move-ins, which can be a little bit more manipulated than later on since you will only encounter villagers of 3 personalities (and not 8 like later on), including peppy which is Audie's personality

the "sister fruit" is fruit found on NMT islands. this fruit will always be the same for example my native fruit is pears and whenever i find fruit on an NMT island, it's cherries.
when a villager visits your house they have a chance to give you a 3rd fruit. i'm always given apples. i'm not sure if a villager's personality affects what they give you but - from experience, cranky villagers have ALWAYS given me an apple, and keaton sometimes gives me hats but he's given me some apples in the past too.
as for the fruit your mom sends you i can't remember since i rarely get fruit from her in general. i'm pretty sure it's the same fruit your villagers give you when they visit

The right stick is the one that has the Amiibo scanner in the joystick. That’s the one that would be needed attached back to the console just to get what you need done and still use your other ones.

It's the same as what is said on the chart I believe - there are always three options, out of which a random one is picked at island creation ^^ so you have to reset till you get lucky and hit the roses if you want to have them as the native one

Or, except for November and December (NH) actually, which have three options on top of roses, so you should probably pick one of the other four rose months for better odds ^^

I think the bridge and incline in acre E2 might be too close, I'm not a 100% sure though, F6 might also be too close to the river mouth but again not exactly sure, and the bridges in D4 and on the edge of D5 and E5 definitely needs a bit of adjusting of the river to be able to be placed - for diagonal bridges, see below on the river edge requirements, there needs to be three tiles of straight diagonal on one side, and four on the other

This website is a popular one ^^ with how ACNH island generation works, you won't find the same exact one, due to the randomization of beaches, and also I believe all the possible starting river layouts just ended up not getting logged to the program either. So you might initially need to make a compromise, but you can use the terraforming tools on the site to make the rivers and cliffs match yours if you intend to keep them as they currently are ^^

(and the website lets you even edit the beaches if you wish)

It all depends on the genes of the mums, which is a hidden stat each flower has that determines breeding results.
But if you just want more pinks, you should clone instead of breed - this is when you isolate a flower (no other flowers of the same species in the surrounding 8 tiles) and water it. It's very similar to breeding, but there is only one parent flower, and the result will always be an identical copy of the parent. ^^

The tip is listen to Isabelle, she gives hint in real time of what you are missing nature points or development points
For nature points you can use flowers bushes and trees, a bit of diys, note that you have a threshold for tree and bushes and you only get points once they are mature. You also get more points for blooming flowers.
For development it's items, the amount of villagers (8 minimum required for 3 stars) and constructiond like shops bridges inclines, and finally items boughts from the nook shop and diys as well.
Take your time and don't forget Isabelle gives updated advice each time you ask her she's gonna tell you what category you are currently missing more point for the next star level

Yes you must water to breed flowers. As for getting more of your pinks it's best to put them by themselves for cloning. It's a random chance to get more pinks or it's red/white pairing otherwise

Getting other visitors to water helps but isn't always an option since online is needed

It's impossible to give a list of literally all breeding methods, as the breeding is based on flower genes, not just colours, so there is a huge number of different gene combinations.
So if you wanted to find the path that lead you to the flower you got, giving an answer could be very difficult. Also, the chart you are using might not include all undesired breeding results from the pairs, but only the desired ones, so that might also be why it is not on the chart

If the case is the latter of the two I described, meaning you know the genes of the starting flowers, you can use this tool to demo the process you went through, and see all the available offspring

i highly doubt that would be possible; that method says "book it to nook's tent," through which the game would autosave both when entering and exiting. i dont know whether it checks the villager who autofills upon entering or leaving the tent, but the second you enter, its locked in via autosave.

you also just listed a peppy, a lazy, and a normal — the three kinds of villagers that regularly show up for those plots. im curious what you mean by "soft-reset" for them and what your exact method was; this really should not have worked for the third villager ever, and really shouldnt work for any at all unless youre still on basically the 1.0 update.

unless youre closing the game during an autosave — which you really should not do, as it puts you at an extreme risk for save data corruption — this shouldnt function at all considering everything we know about the code of the game. but the process would imply youre running over to see who autofilled, so it isnt really possible youre closing during an autosave as far as i can tell.

[worth noting the quoted method also says "it may not work for your first villager" and "it does not work for your third villager," meaning even the quoted method is likely only possible for your second housing plot, but i digress]

my process from resetting the game was:

1. book it to the empty plot (as fast as possible)
2. submit the last interior item
3. book it to resident services tent (as fast as possible)
4. sit through tom nook's dialogue after the 1st/3rd empty plot (3rd and 5th villager respectively)
5. book it back to the empty plot and check villager moving in on "sold" sign
6. exit to switch home screen while checking villager on wiki
7. reset game if i didn't like the villager

this can all be done in between autosaves

3. Grow stuff (fruits, flowers, pumpkins, etc) and sell to Nook's Cranny.
4. If you have NSO (Nintendo Switch Online), trade with other players by visiting the trade channels in this server and seeing where to sell your services or goods!

What is helpful is to have an item with a trash can interaction nearby; it will reduce the time it takes to empty your inventory drastically. You can just dump the flowers there, instead of e.g. running to Nook's Cranny. ^^ (of course no bells this way, but flowers only sell for 10 bells each.)

Diving will consistently net you more money than Fish and Bugs, and is faster than Fossils. If you just have the standard inventory and you completely fill it with just diving critters and the lowest possible options, that’s still an easy 10,000 bells, and double with the full 40 slots. Bugs and Fish are much cheaper unless you get one of the rarer ones

Don't worry, the game has lots and lots of content to it despite the updates having stopped. All events etc. are still there every year to experience, and personally, I find there is so much to do and to keep you busy. (Coming from someone with 1700+ hours.) Just keep also in mind that the game is a life sim and intended to be of slower pace I hope you enjoy playing!

The updates anyway more so "patched in" missing content rather than adding e.g. time exclusive special events like some games do. So now that all the updates are out, you just have a well-rounded game in your hands ^^

You can hang out with them as long as you want no harm done. If you talk to them (and haven't renovated their home) you can get offered to buy something from their home to keep and even play a game to try and win a random item. Just keep talking and these options will happen eventually
