a good method I follow is to shake all my trees daily - any time furniture falls out I place it under the tree. any furniture gifted by a villager goes right where I’m stood. cardboard boxes from the recycling bin get placed around and then furniture from nook’s also does

Bob is often in #villager-trade or #701251557458444395 so if you target the villager you want to move out with the time travel guide, then you could adopt someone's Bob who is in boxes

Or make a request and line up adopting someone's Bob first before you start the process of getting your villager moved out, which is what I did when I was making changes with amiibos

If you have Resident Services as a building with Isabelle, and you have moved in the campsite villager to unlock the 'three stars to get KK' part of the story, then you'll be able to ask Isabelle for island evaluations

Once you've completed the three villagers for 3, 4 and 5, then you'll be on the path to Resident Services upgrading to a building. That needs to happen before you get the chance to open the campsite

• If both of these are met, Tom Nook will announce that Resident Services will be closed the following day for construction. The day after that you’ll have the building! (You can time travel to make this process quicker.)

Only a certain amount of star fragments can spawn at a time, and only when they have the room to spawn. You should pick up all your shells on the beach, then wait for new stuff to spawn. It might not happen immediately after entering/exiting a building, but shells do respawn throughout the day so you'll just need to keep checking!

It just means you missed the chance to find out what she was going to say (teaching you a reaction, giving you a gift, something like that). Nothing terrible will happen. I accidentally hit Ione (three times 😅) the same way last week

I wouldn't trust big batch resellers, odds are the amiibo are either not genuine from Nintendo or are broken..

I recommend dropping the trash item somewhere near a building or your house. Then enter and exit the building until you see a fly spawn. This usually helps to speed things up! I can send you a little video clip of this, if you need more of a visual

Quests count as things like treasure hunts, sickness, bug/fish, lost items, and special delivery requests. I believe home visits count toward this as well, but not 100% on that!

For good luck fortune related to friendship, you’ll get +1 friendship point to a random villager. And villagers are more likely to approach you with gifts. (I am not sure if she will choose a villager that has maxed friendship points, though, that’s a good question!)

•• How do I get a 3- or 5-star rating? ••
• The basic idea is to fill your island with plants and furniture, as Isabelle usually suggests. So if she says to add flowers, do it - or at least, wait for them to be fully bloomed (to get the max points from them) ; Same thing if she hints at adding furniture.

You can find guides online for the calculation of roughly how many points are needed for calculation purposes. More than 220 trees and you end up with a penalty. Fully grown trees and fully bloomed flowers are worth the same amount of points for the calculation, so my island doesn't have a lot of trees but it has a lot of flowers. DIY furniture also contributes to your Scenery rating

I know I reached a point (a touch over a year ago) that I'd been planting flowers and had tons of trees and all sorts of stuff everywhere just to reach the 5 star milestone......and then I started ripping everything apart and turning it into the island I really wanted, bit by bit, and it's back to being 5 stars. Occasionally it dips if I have full storage so I drop items and Isabelle freaks out but once you hit it, it's not actually that hard to maintain it. It just feels like you need so much stuff with flowers and trees and furniture items to get there

As the bot said, follow Isabelle's advice. Just keep adding stuff, even if it feels totally crazy and you don't have space. Once you've unlocked the five star perks, you won't lose them even if you pack away whatever you had out and you hated to then redecorate in the way that you want

I read somewhere that money trees triple vs max out at 10k on a set schedule that is specific to your island. In other words, every N days, if you plant >10k bells, the Xth, Yth, and Zth day you will get triple what you planted, and every other day caps at 10k. They suggested that you keep planting 11k bells, keep track of when you get 3×11k and when you get 3×10k, and eventually the pattern for your island would emerge.

Can anyone confirm/refute this? I've been keeping track for a while, but a pattern hasn't emerged. But also, I was away for a few days, and while my wife agreed to keep planting and keeping track of what each tree returned, she's not entirely sure she did it correctly and forgot one day.

Everyone gets one design for the year. Meaning you can time travel back and forth within the year to get multiple of the mom's sweaters, but you'll get the same pattern every time. Next year, you'll get a different sweater. Same idea for all items

If she's saying things are cluttered, you might have too much trash/items dropped on the ground. If it's that it's a 'traffic hazard', then you have too many furniture items placed in a particular space. If you have more than 45 spaces used in an 8x8 (64 space) grid, then you need to move stuff

More flowers, fencing, furniture and trees are usually the go-tos. If you have Nintendo Online, trading for more varieties of flowers or fruits to plant trees would be worthwhile. If you don't want to spend the time removing the weeds, then you can post in #player-services to ask someone for help removing them

I'd start with removing a lot of the weeds for the 'clutter' angle. If it's 'traffic hazard', space out the items a bit more. Different flowers and fruit trees help too (you can buy different seed bags in Nook's Cranny). And an extra bridge/incline will add an extra 30 development points, which comes in handy

Celeste provides a DIY/recipe for some sort of star-related item (space things, wands, zodiac figures). You can wish on stars at any point - star fragments will wash up on your beaches tomorrow. Saharah provides special wallpapers, floors and rugs for your house. That person is posting that those NPCs are on their island if you so wish to visit them

So talking to those NPCs basically provides you with items, if you want items from those NPCs, and the shooting stars will give you a crating material. They'll visit your island from time to time too + you'll have shooting stars eventually also

It’s never a guarantee that flowers will spread when you TT — it depends a lot on how many flowers you have initially as well as how far ahead you jump. Typically you have to jump a minimum of a month to potentially see a bit of an increase, but those who return to islands overrun by flowers are people who have not played/who TT’d ahead about 6 months - 1 year. Additionally, you should be aware weeds will appear and spread much faster and in greater abundance than flowers will.

Flowers will only spread if they are watered - the next day you are active more will grow. If you are inactive for a while (eg time travelling) nothing will happen unless the last day you played it was raining or they were watered

I will add, weeds will grow if you time travel.
People who have time travelled and came back to massive flower overgrowth is when they log in on a rainy day and proceed to time travel ahead. If they keep doing this and don’t clean up flowers that have spread, it will get worse.

If you want loads of flowers, the best way to get more is to get 5 people to water them each day. Massively increases chances of them spreading / creating hybrids

hello, i know how moving a villager out works (to save time), but have run into a weird issue. so quinn moved out yesterday. she organically got the move out bubble and i let her leave. she was in boxes yesterday and i got eugene from a mystery island today a little bit ago on my fourth ticket. thing is, this is my second island, so i'm still filling it with villagers. i grabbed a plot from tom nook, thinking i'd be able to continue the hunt, and all the mystery islands since have been empty of villagers. any idea what gives?

things i've checked: the new plot is still showing up as open as of right now. i've tried 3 mystery island tickets testing to see if villagers would pop up. they did not.

You can have a maximum of ten villagers, so if you're aiming for five stars you'd probably want all of them for the maximum amount of points. However, 5 stars is also based off your number of trees, flowers, furniture, pathing, inclines, bridges, fencing, etc. etc. so villager numbers is only one part of the equation

If you have a pumpkin start it will randomly grow in a color, but when you plant a pumpkin the plant will grow into the same color as the planted pumpkin.

okay, a villager I want is in my campsite, and a villager I want to move out has the thought bubble above her head.

In what order do I do things to safely move in campsite villager? (It's Ankha I love her so much) do I ask the villager to move out first? or does that lock the campsite

If you ask the villager who has the thought bubble, then he won’t go until the next day and by then the campsite will be empty. You can keep asking the visitor in the campsite to move and eventually he or she will suggest for another villager to move out

You can't put up other people's custom clothing in your own Able's shop for your villagers to wear, sadly.
The only way to have other people's designs there is by inviting a creator to hang their designs themselves when visiting you

Those look like the counter DIYs you get from Happy Home Paradise - you need the DLC to obtain them and they cannot be traded. They are unlocked via donating materials to Niko over time

Nothing - I believe if you don't talk to them and Time travel a day the bubble may move to someone else? But if you don't want them to leave you can always just say no (but I think that will reset the 'timer' of that move out bubble appearing)
