Make sure you are doing this to get max drops out of rocks. Rocks on Nook miles islands also have a higher iron droprate than the ones on your island

Hi, I'm running into issues when trying to transfer a resident from one switch to another, "communication error has occured", anyone happen to know what can cause that?
both are on same wifi, tried having one on hotspot, same result
Both are running physical copies of the game
Tried with both switches having the same account logged in (transfer myself) and with alternate accounts once deleting main account (transfer another resident)
It always ends up the same way, one switch shows transfer req sent, the other finds the resident then on the next step goes to error as soon as it starts the process

Gifting is all personal preference at the end of the day so it just depends on what you wanna aim for

If you want them to wear certain clothing or display certain stuff in their house you can gift that stuff (although note it might not always be displayed/worn)

But if you just want to grind for photos and still wanna keep their inventories clear, wrapped fruit and assessed fossils are your best bet

Given the spawn is max 5 usually bring one tree, plant two one one side 3 on another, and just travel one side to the other, if you have a bamboo island you'd avoid the river bugs as well, iirc it took about 4 hour of non stop farming for me

The plots for villagers #3-5 are dependent on personality and I believe they move-in in order: lazy, peppy, normal. Once you furnish the plots they can autofill, so it sounds like that’s what has happened for you. The one you invited was probably a normal? So they’ll move into that third one.

Generally things are pretty smooth sailing for me in ACNH, but I have had a few head scratchers lately... like the two times in the past week we had officially announced shooting star events by Isabelle... and Celeste is no where to be found. I looked everywhere, multiple times the first time, and even enlisted a friend to help. Never found her. Have a second one now a few days later... checked every inch, once again she is no where to be found. I also finally got the 300th balloon popped and no golden balloon with the golden sling shot. Just random yellow balloons with random stuff that give me hope and dash it. This is supposed to be something to help me destress, and now a regular entity that is one of my favorites is missing and something I was looking forward to for a long time didn't happen. Has anyone experienced either of these things and have any tips for me? I have enough going whackadoodle in my real life, and may need to move on for a bit if this game is going to be a source of stress. Thank you!

The plot is only guaranteed to be empty for one day. After that it can autofill, and unfortunately there isn’t a way to reverse it if it has already been sold. You’ll have to let them move in, then you could kick them out using the amiibo you wanted to use

If you see a non-target villager with a bubble, don't talk to them. Then the bubble has a high chance if transferring onto some other villager overnight. Repeat until you get the bubble on your target villager

But sometimes bubbles doesn’t mean they wanna leave, sometimes they give you a gift or something

You can see if it is a moveout bubble by talking to the villager, and if it is, closing the game via home menu before answering yes/no to the villager (the game won't remember you talked to them).
Another way is going inside a building; if the villager still has the bubble after you exit, it's a moveout bubble, but this way you'll still lose the possible other interaction so it's essentially the same effect as ignoring the bubble.

IMO it's just easier to ignore all bubbles, do as you wish though

Not 100% familiar with the topic, but I believe that should be fixed if you change your new Switch to be your primary console in your eshop settings

Based on what I know, it should be caused by the fact that other users than the one who bought the game can play the game only on the primary console of the purchaser, if that makes sense

I just upgraded from lite to standard console and ported my island over. Right before I stopped playing I had created a second character on my console because I was going to use it as a second house to decorate. But now I have no access to that characters save and can’t do anything to the house

You need to create a profile, if you log in to animal crossing and there is an "orphan" player, any profile can play on it when it first logs on

Except for amiibo and trading, technically you can fill your island with that species to get higher chances for a specific villager within that species but it's very tedious and expensive

Be aware that up to 4 villagers might be in you move in queue (queue for autofills) and so these villagers are not available on mystery island or on the campsite

I don't know the actual statistics, but have been to a meteor shower island twice personally, and they were both during the day.

From what I understand, you would have a brand new creator code associated with the new island, so the old creator code would remain intact. Any designs you upload should still exist. Just make sure to write down that creator code so you can find them again!
